This is a family owned business that gives off homy meals back at home with grandparents. The menu is authentic New Mexican food that is made from scratched and straight out of the kitchen. They start you off with salsa and chips and drinks and give you time to order. Drinks are limited and I didn't see any alcohol in the menu but that would have been great. The portions of the plate are descent in size. We enjoyed the fact that fried were not salty. However, the rest of the meals were moderately saltier than what you would consider a normal type of salt seasoning for New Mexican foods. The place is overall clean and neat. They had only one waiter which he managed to multi task and take orders to perfection. The owner was also the waiter and the cashier. Definitely a family run business. Fairly robust menu for such a small place. Food was fine, not fancy, but got to the table hot. They do a few fun things like bring the guacamole and a couple of chips in small bowls and ended the meal with a pudding dessert. Based on other reviews it looks like beer may be new to the offerings. I don't think it was on the menu but on a table top announcement. Had really bad service from the owner at this location on Wyoming blvd ne This was our place to go because of the great natillas we usually get, but today we ordered 2 cheese enchilada plates with an egg over easy which came back as over hard and I asked for onions on my enchiladas which they charged me $1.50 for? She told me we don't make our enchiladas with onions which you have to pay for if you want them and the cheese was only inside the enchiladas not on top so I asked for some cheese on top which they brought a tiny cup with cheese which they charged me $1.75 for. All in all we paid $43 for them with 2 sodas. I went to complain to owner and all she did was get defensive and say do you want to see what I have pay here? She also said if people want to complain they should just stay home! There's other restaurants you can go too! That right there did it and I will never go back there again. Our Tea Glasses are never empty. -- Soda is sold via the can and a cup of ice is provided. We have our favorites, and eat them often. Some says this is not "Mexican food" they are right.. it is New Mexican food -- I have had a variety of New Mexican food much of it different from the next. The Chile is spicy, but i don't feel *too hot* (my g/f and children say they have to have it on the side cuz of being too spicy). The food is GREAT! Came by here one weekend for lunch. Ordered a combo plate with enchilada, tamale, and taco. The red chile tasted like it came out of a can, not good. The tamale looked like it was a canned one too. The refried beans were very watery. Not the greatest food. The service was okay, they were not busy, but the owner was busy gossiping with a friend in the corner. It's not terrible, it's just not great, and food is kind of bland. It's probably OK for out of town guests who aren't used to hot chili. Don't order the beef fajitas because they are weird; instead of strips of beef you have small logs of ground beef. The rest of the food is OK. There's much better in town. I do have to say that I liked the salsa. I can't put my finger on it, but it almost seemed to have a hit of curry flavoring or something in it. My co-workers seemed to enjoy the food. I ordered the chicken enchiladas with red and green. The red had a decent kick to it for sure. The green was fairly mild. Decent portions for the price and we were in and out without waiting. Not my favorite New Mexican food restaurant.
