Went to Juani's and the restaurant said it was open at 8am. The open light was on. The door was locked. It sucks to drive thinking your getting food and its closed. I guess Einsteins next door it is.

I had a chance to stop by Juani's Kitchen for dinner after a long work day...and actually liked their tacos (I had their barbacoa tacos!). The food tasted fresh and very tasty. They didn't seem oily and was worth a price of $10.95 per plate to me (for 4 soft tacos). The only one star was...I had a diet coke can along with it..and didn't realize I was charged $3.45 for a can! After my meal, I saw in my receipt, it listed Large Mexcan coke in it. It could have been a genuine, unintentional mistake..and after all..probably just a few dollars different. But I wish I was charged correctly (I believed that large mexican coke was meant to be for a bottled coke product that they also had..rather than a regular diet coke can that I got). Other than that...great food though!

Posole with onion and cilantro, toasted bread, and a Fruit punch Jarritos.

The posole was amazing. Family run business means service is very personal. Decor is simple, but the food is stellar so...

This is my 3rd visit, and my only complaint is that the pork red chile tamales are a teeny bit cumin forward. The burritos, the posole(is great good flavor and texture, comes kinda mild, but they bring a shaker of oregeno and pepper flakes, so you can shake a little heat into it. And since its already great tasting it blends in well. Ive not seen this method before of offering dry red pepper flakes. It worked better than i thought.) . This is a great little hole in the wall spot.

Good food, good family-type atmosphere, people trying very hard to keep their place open.

Fantastic, as usual! Very friendly, fast and delicious. Tamales and green chili stew are our favorites no matter the season.

Even…read morethough we came without a reservation and the restaurant was busy, we were able to get a table in under 10 minutes. Our service was outstanding-food came out quickly and our server quickly and easily was able to accommodate some minor modifications to our dishes. We started our dinner by sharing the guacamole salad, chips, salsa verde, and salsa rojo. The guacamole was rich, fresh, and creamy, and the chips were warm, crispy, with the right amount of salt. The salsa verde was delicious; the salsa rojo was OK. I got the sample platter for my main dish; I particularly liked the brisket taco. I highly recommend going to Cocina Azul if you are in Albuquerque!

We ordered the green chile stew, fish tacos, green/red wet burrito with steak and taco salad with steak. They accidentally brought shrimp tacos instead of the fish, so we got to try those too. Everything was decent. - Green chile stew: good flavor. A little spicy for some. Liked that it was served with a tortilla. - Taco salad: got it with rice and beans. Steak was good. - Red/green wet burrito with steak: Really good flavor. Loved the combo of the sauces. Side of pozole was also delicious. - Fish tacos: the fish was nice and crispy, but I didn't love the cremas, which in my opinion are key to a good fish taco. The papas side was delish. The beans side was a bit salty. The horchata had good flavor but seemed a bit watery. The Diet Coke was good (looks like they recently switched from Pepsi since some of the menus still said Pepsi). The seating area is large. The AC was on a little high -- we had to go to the car for jackets.
