Fun night sitting at the bar and sampling tapas. The highlights were the calamari and wagu mini sliders. The Brussels were a generous portion but not as flavorful as I hoped. My friend's martini was tasty but unfortunately got spilled before she was 1/2 done drinking it. I was surprised the bartender didn't offer to comp another one.

My first time here. I met Harry the bartender, great guy. Good drinks. It was a Tuesday nite. Half price apps. I had several apps. The lobster ravioli dead delicious. The sauce was rich and creamy. Then I had the fresh oysters. Very clean. Then the shortbread short rib, the sauce was very rich with flavor. The mashed potatoes with it was delicious and creamy. Then I had a chicken wrap. The chicken salad was crispy with the lettuce, very light not heavy. Hamburger slider, medium rare. Just enough. Then I had the key lime pie dessert. That was a great ending. There was live entertainment and great locals at the bar. If you're a single guy , get over there. You'll probably will have a great time really nice place and classy. I'll be back. Prices are a little pricey but worth it. Emanates super clean!

1/2 off tapas on Tuesdays for the win!! (UPDATE: watch out for the fine print. Half of the "half priced tapas" were excluded from the special.) *We started with the oysters--very fresh, though I wish they came with a mignonette. *The Cajun tuna was amazing! The coconut rice paired perfectly with the spicy crust. *The lobster ravioli was TO DIE FOR. I could've eaten a whole bowl of it. *Wagyu sliders--juicy and flavorful. The chipotle ketchup was tasty but could've used a bit more kick. *Churrasco-style steak--solid, but nothing special. You can find a similar dish just about anywhere. *Gambas al ajillo--meh. Good quality shrimp, but tasted like a basic shrimp scampi. *Pan-seared scallops--good, but I wouldn't order them again. The sweet and savory elements worked well, just not enough to wow me.

Awesome place. The venue has open floor plan and outside seating. It's a really popular place. It's gets pretty crowded. They have TVs which was important because cousin is a soccer fanatic and he did not want to miss the game. The staff is wonderful and the food was excellent. The drinks were great too.

If You're Wondering What to Order at Embargo, This Is for You I'm writing this because I always wish more people would leave honest, detailed reviews to help me know what's actually worth ordering. So here's the deal: Embargo in Hyannis is a must. We loved it so much, we went back a second time. The food is that good. If the music inside is too loud for you, just grab a table outside. The vibe is fun either way, and the service was awesome both nights. Danielle and John were especially great. They kept everything running smoothly and cleared plates quickly, which I always appreciate. Now, onto the good stuff: the food. You seriously can't go wrong with any of these: * Stuffed Mushrooms: Cheesy, flavorful, and a solid vegetarian choice * Avocado: The freshest avocado I've had at a restaurant up north, no exaggeration * Wagyu Sliders: Juicy, flavorful, and the blue cheese adds the perfect kick * Steak with Chimichurri: Packed with flavor and cooked just right * Brussels Sprouts: Crispy and super tasty, definitely not an afterthought * Shrimp Skewers: So good I didn't even get a picture. Served with a mango salsa and a tasty sauce on the side, plus coconut rice that was absolutely delicious I hope this helps someone out there the next time they're deciding what to get. Embargo is definitely worth the stop, and if you try any of these dishes, you'll leave happy.

Cool atmosphere for sure, probably a good night life scene if you're into that. expensive for tapas in my opinion and not quite worth the $$. Spent a lot and left hungry still.

So, Embargo has a lively Happy Hour with many half priced tapas and even entertainment some nights! I was lucky to get a seat at the bar that was quickly filled by the regulars of Hyannis. Friendly People, great service and absolutely delish food! There was so much to choose from and this was my first time ever going in alone. But the vibe was high, people were friendly, the establishment was clean, and people were enjoying their oysters on the half shell by the platter full. They too were half price on happy hour. No complaints from this girl, it was like walking into a friendly environment that even embraced new comers like me. I always recommend Embargo, it's very rare that they don't give it their all! Highly recommended!!!!

    Horrible

The only good thing about this place was our server--friendly, attentive, and clearly doing their best. Unfortunately, the food was absolutely disgusting. For a restaurant sitting just minutes from the harbor, it's unacceptable that they're serving obviously frozen seafood. The texture, flavor, and quality were all terrible--like something you'd buy from a bargain freezer section, not a seaside restaurant. If you can't get fresh seafood when you're this close to the docks, then what's the point? Huge disappointment. How appetizing does that picture look .

Absolutely loved this place! Service was quick & super friendly & bartenders make amazing drinks. Love the vibe inside. Great small plates. We had the artichoke flatbread & salmon crostinis & neither disappointed. The flirtini was our absolute favorite martini! They have karaoke at 9PM on Wednesdays which was fun. Great spot but definitely pricey so be prepared to pay but the food, drink, & service are worth it!

When I couldn't decide on a cocktail, Sandra readily recommended the Grapefruit Martini -- it was delicious and totally the right call, Hubby's Tito's Cosmo was also well-made. For dinner, Hubby had the Chicken Parm - it was enormous and delicious, chicken was cooked well and the homemade pasta was a perfect al dente. The sauce was very good, but there was too much cheese for his taste, an easy fix to move to the side. There was plenty to take home for a second meal so it was an even better value. I chose the Spinach Salad, which was fresh and tasty with artichokes and goat cheese. Again, it was a generous portion for a very good price. We rarely indulge in dessert but we were convinced to try the homemade Tiramisu and it was amazing, just the way I make it myself. It's very hard to find a Tiramisu that is so authentic. We absolutely recommend Tumi, based on our experience it would be had to make a bad decision from their menu.

It was a beautiful day outside so we decided to sit at the outdoor bar. We ordered drinks and we decided to split the chicken finger appetizer. There was an option to toss them in lemon sauce or buffalo for an extra $2 or so, and I kindly asked the bartender if we could do half and half. I even offered to pay for both sauces, but he said they couldn't do it. I am not sure why, but it was a bit odd to me. Regardless, when the chicken fingers came out I was shocked. They were basically boneless chicken wings, they were tiny! $18 for 6 of the tiniest tenders I've ever seen. The chicken fingers were decently tasty, but the portion to price was a bit ridiculous. We were still very hungry when we left.

After walking through town and checking out the boutiques we decided to stop in to grab dinner before heading back to our Air B&B. This was a Thursday evening around 6, just before the downtown area got busy. We were sat promptly and a waiter took our drink order. Drinks came within 10 minutes and we placed our order- an appetizer of calamari, a salad with grilled shrimp for me and risotto and scallops for my husband. We waited 22 minutes for our app. The calamari was very good though I do think the portion was a bit skimpy. The cocktail sauce tasted like it came from a jar which was disappointing. The presentation of the dish was fairly lackluster. The apps and the entrees are delivered by two different people but neither are your original waiter. Our meal arrived about 15 minutes after our apps. The salad was arugula with slices of oranges and fresh tomatoes along with the grilled shrimp. The tomatoes were amazing and the shrimp were just ok. I didn't find them overly amazing but they were decent. Decent as I'm not much different than a neighborhood cookout. My husband's risotto was bland and slightly undercooked. The scallops looked about as good as they tasted and I can tell you that they did not look all that good. Presentation was not great, and the scallops were just so -so. They did not have a sear which is fine but they also didn't have that fresh sautéed feel, taste or look to them. Just meh. Our waiter checked on us about three quarters of the way into our meal. We never saw him again and had to ask another server to track him down to get our check. Our meal with a high noon and a beer was $110. Honestly I wasn't impressed in the slightest by the food or the service. This seemed more like an establishment in a great location but that's about it. I can also say that the inside seating for the restaurant was empty. By the time we got our meal the downtown area started to get busy and 90% of the foot traffic walked right past Torino's without stopping. There was a pizza place down the street that was super busy. But it seemed that most of the traffic passing by Torino's had to go boxes. Unfortunately I'm not sure which restaurant they were coming from. I wouldn't recommend this restaurant and I won't be giving it a second chance. For the money it wasn't worth it. I also can't stomach paying $10 for a single can of high noon. It's high noon. But I'm all fairness I do expect tourist prices so I wasn't overly surprised.
