Visited Torino's during a timed bus tour stop, and overall, it was a solid 3.5-star experience. The highlight of the meal hands-down was the lobster mac. It came in a generous serving size packed with huge, delicious chunks of lobster claw meat in a rich, cheesy sauce. The burger and fries were also good, and the Caesar salad was decent. The only downside was the speed of the service. We waited quite a while just to place our order, and the food also took some time to arrive. When you are on a tight bus schedule where every minute counts, slow service can be stressful. The food itself is well worth it, but the restaurant could definitely improve on staff attentiveness and speed for travelers on a schedule. read more

Nice place!! We were strolling on Main Street after some window shopping and looking for a place to eat. This place had nice music playing seemed lively although quite empty. They have outdoor and indoor seating. Being a nice day we sat outside. I ordered the lemon chicken piccata with angel hair pasta which was really good - very rich and buttery but so good. The hubs ordered the sausage with pasta and his dish was really good too. Service was friendly. I went inside to use the restroom and was really blown away by the beautiful decor inside. My girlfriend and I spent the day in Hyannis and decided to stop here for a quick drink and appetizer before heading out. It was a beautiful day outside so we decided to sit at the outdoor bar. We ordered drinks and we decided to split the chicken finger appetizer. There was an option to toss them in lemon sauce or buffalo for an extra $2 or so, and I kindly asked the bartender if we could do half and half. I even offered to pay for both sauces, but he said they couldn't do it. I am not sure why, but it was a bit odd to me. Regardless, when the chicken fingers came out I was shocked. They were basically boneless chicken wings, they were tiny! $18 for 6 of the tiniest tenders I've ever seen. The chicken fingers were decently tasty, but the portion to price was a bit ridiculous. Ill just say that the service was lackluster, the atmosphere felt unnecessarily pretentious, and the food wasn't up to quality for the prices. The one person me and my fellow colleagues did notice was the server Olivia. She wasn't even our server, but I couldn't help but notice how attentive she was to the guest she was taking care of. A great place on Main Street Hyannis. The outdoor patio and bar area is great. The inside is very nice as well. The patio bar is large, covered and nicely done. The patio has lots of seating. All staff we experienced was friendly, welcoming, professional and gave great service. We had only appetizers but the meals we saw looked and smelled great. We had shrimp cocktail, appetizer meatballs and bruschetta which came out quick with place being packed and all 3 were great. Would definitely go back. Torino creates a festive vibe in downtown Hyannis. They were playing music on their outdoor patio that made us stop by for drinks and apps. The drinks have interesting names but the one I had was basically a pina colada. Hubby got a Moscow Mule. Both drinks were good but I couldn't understand why the pins colada was served in a plastic cup while the Moscow mule was in a traditional mug. We for the bruschetta and an eggplant appetizer in a mozzarella sauce. Both were flavorful and very generous portions. Friendly service. Would definitely go again on future Cape trips. read more

"In a nutshell "STF" sub par tourist food! This restaurant looked great from the sidewalk. Outdoor seating on a pretty patio area and a solo guitarist. Ughh so disappointing though. After walking through town and checking out the boutiques we decided to stop in to grab dinner before heading back to our Air B&B. This was a Thursday evening around 6, just before the downtown area got busy. We were sat promptly and a waiter took our drink order. Drinks came within 10 minutes and we placed our order- an appetizer of calamari, a salad with grilled shrimp for me and risotto and scallops for my husband. We waited 22 minutes for our app. The calamari was very good though I do think the portion was a bit skimpy. The cocktail sauce tasted like it came from a jar which was disappointing. The presentation of the dish was fairly lackluster. The apps and the entrees are delivered by two different people but neither are your original waiter. Our meal arrived about 15 minutes after our apps. The salad was arugula with slices of oranges and fresh tomatoes along with the grilled shrimp. The tomatoes were amazing and the shrimp were just ok. I didn't find them overly amazing but they were decent. Decent as I'm not much different than a neighborhood cookout. My husband's risotto was bland and slightly undercooked. The scallops looked about as good as they tasted and I can tell you that they did not look all that good. Presentation was not great, and the scallops were just so -so. They did not have a sear which is fine but they also didn't have that fresh sautéed feel, taste or look to them. Just meh. Our waiter checked on us about three quarters of the way into our meal. We never saw him again and had to ask another server to track him down to get our check. Our meal with a high noon and a beer was $110. Honestly I wasn't impressed in the slightest by the food or the service. This seemed more like an establishment in a great location but that's about it. I can also say that the inside seating for the restaurant was empty. By the time we got our meal the downtown area started to get busy and 90% of the foot traffic walked right past Torino's without stopping. There was a pizza place down the street that was super busy. But it seemed that most of the traffic passing by Torino's had to go boxes. Unfortunately I'm not sure which restaurant they were coming from. I wouldn't recommend this restaurant and I won't be giving it a second chance. For the money it wasn't worth it. I also can't stomach paying $10 for a single can of high noon. It's high noon. But I'm all fairness I do expect tourist prices so I wasn't overly surprised. read more

During a recent visit to Torino, our actual experience vs. expectation were completely different. Expectations: Table is clean, when sat Silverware - not plastic utensils. Actaul: Be prepared, if you are unhappy with service and/or food - they will send Security to your table for being 'disrespectful' and 'they know a number of police officers. Attempting to intimidate us... not good. -Issues we encountered, when we arrived you could tell they had been busy (Car Show - Fathers Day Weekend) we were sat when the table was being 'cleared' and dirty dish was left on our table for the entire meal (cleared by the 'last manager') asked for water (3 times), served plastic utensils vs. real utensils - our entrees were over $25 per plate, had to ask for real utensils. Was told, they didn't have any, however every table around us, had real utensils. Server avoided us, we attempted to reach her, twice and she kept walking. Server offered desert (twice) declined, at this point, we wanted to leave. Literally had to say, no thank you (twice), we would like our check. 2nd Manager - approached the table and 'acted surprised' by our conversation with 'security' he actually took the dirty plate from the table. To be honest, our beverages were removed from the bill, which I clearly would have paid for - as that was not the issue. Be mindful of the service, resolving issues and feedback, unless you want to 'chat' with security - which was completely uncalled for. We are locals and word of mouth is important than advertising. Servers need to understand that guests will experience negative feedback during a guests stay - welcome to the industry. Getting security involved - unacceptable. We were very pleased with how fast we received our order. Food: we had 4 people in our party. We ordered lobster rolls, Cape Cod Clam Chowder, Calamari, and mussels. Everything tasted great. My wife thoroughly enjoyed everything that we ordered. It was her first time trying the mussels and she was well pleased. The lobster rolls were completely stuffed with lobster. They were market price. They loaded the rules with Lobster. Ambiance: Outside on the patio with sun and 67 degrees. Absolutely perfect. The restrooms were clean as well as the patio in the inside eating area. My brother and sister-in-law agreed with our assessment. The outside of this establishment was hoping. I wasn't sure if the inside was open or not. I wasn't offered a menu but assumed the kitchen was closed. It was quiet inside with only a few people dining. It was my first stop of the evening and decided to just grab a beer. My draft beer landed in a clear plastic cup while everyone else had a glass. $9 for a domestic draft beer was a bit much for lack of service and being treated as though I was a college student like the ones outside where the younger crowd was. The patio and outdoor bar are still nice if you want to stop and have a drink while strolling Main St compared to prior visits the food was sub par. The seared scallops were served w a raspberry sauce that looked pretty but when the justice of the sear mixed with the raspberry, it looked like low tide sea water on my plate. I'm all about risotto- this particular evening it was rushed - I don't like crunchy risotto and could barely taste or see any Parmesan. Two people in my party ordered lobster ravioli and left still hungry as the portion sizes have also gotten a bit smaller. While I normally love the service here, clearing the plates and asking if we wanted to see a dessert menu while someone in our party was still eating left that person feeling rushed. Not sure I'll be back which is a shame bc we'd been going for years. I have no problem paying for a meal if it's good but we shouldn't feel rushed and hungry when done. Not for over $300. read more

There are certain restaurants we will always go to (Old Yarmouth Inn, Ocean House) and then there is this one, which we will never go to again. They served our entrees before the soup. When we pointed this out and my husband wanted to cancel his soup order, they said they'd have to cancel all of our soup orders since they can't cancel just one. Why not cancel all four and then resubmit three? Why not ask the manager to see how they can accommodate this request? Our waitress was horrendous. Never asked us if we wanted a drink refill. Never asked how the food was or if we'd like dessert. We still tipped 15% and even that I thought was way too generous. For a $200 meal, you'd expect better service and having our soups before the entrees. No one tried to make it right. Will never go here again. read more

My husband and I had a great lunch at Torino over Memorial Day Weekend in Hyannis. We enjoyed drinks and a meal on the patio, where we encountered music and wonderful service. The hostess and server were kind and attentive. My husband enjoyed a pepperoni pizza, while I had the crab cakes. Both options were lovely! Giving the obligatory disclaimer that this review is only for drinks and their ambiance. We actually embarked on a very long, just short of 4 miles, walk in flip flops which probably wasn't the best decision but we paid for it afterwards. Dripping with sweat and with sore AF feet, we wanted to take a seat in Torino and grab a drink. GF thought I meant water lmao. No, not that kind of drink. Their drink menu is creative and I struggled to make a decision but ultimately decided on the Just Peachy because I've been eating like a fat fuck lately and the "no carbs vodka" caught my eye. The drink also contains botanical ketel one, lemon and lime juice, and club soda. It was actually much more "juice-y" and sweet than I was expecting but given the amount of discomfort I was already experiencing, it's probably for the best. The service was good. There were no brawls observed or disrespect like I read in some of the other reviews. Our waitress was taking care of other tables at the time but she didn't keep us waiting too long. The food itself was pretty standard, no standouts. The best thing I tried was the margarita pizza. Everything else seemed a bit under-seasoned/not ver flavorful. Later in the evening, the restaurant turns into a club. There was a $10 cover, but we didn't have to pay because we were already inside. TLDR: Food is good, but everything else is a warn against. The Food was the only thing that saved the review from being 1 star. Security (somehow necessary) was abrasive before we even walked in about getting ID from some members of our party but not others (which was not aged based; confusing). We then got sat outside while a DJ loudly played (like unable talk to the other people at the table without yelling) mid-2000's pop music over techno beats. Music was not for us but no harm no foul, we asked to move inside. It was at this point that it became obvious that they wanted us to leave for the entire meal. We arrived at 9:20 pm for a night when they closed at 10:00 pm. For context, easily 40+ other people were there when we left. The server asked us to order our food before we ordered our drinks. Then she left to put the food in and came back and got the drink orders. She brought the drinks, brought the food, and we did not see her again. Asking if we wanted to get more drinks/water did not enter the equation at all. I'm not being a Karen here, I get that the staff wants to get off of work like everyone else at the end of the night. Regardless, wanting to be done with work doesn't explain our server being MIA when we were actively trying to leave. We had to get up and go ask for the check and then when we wanted to pay we had to get up again to bring them our money. If this place was a cheap, hole-in-the-wall place I would get it.
