This place is a Gem! They have delicious lunch sandwiches and clean breakfast burritos ( not oily or too heavy) . It's a mom and pop and everyone is charming and nice. I love their Spring rolls, they make them fresh and they're huge. This place is affordable and delicious !

    Breakfast Burrito with bacon

Breakfast burrito with bacon is fire!! Love the mild heat from the pico de gallo. For less than $11 that's unheard of nowadays especially in Costa Mesa. The lady was really nice. It was hot and stuffy inside the cafe (maybe their ac was off?) so I recommend sitting outside. Will be back to try more things!

Amazing paninis, great service and convenient pickup! Have a few more items I can't wait to try. Also, there is a"secret" Pho menu if you ask about it.

What a little gem near the airport and business Center. They make great sandwiches and Panini's. Their sandwiches are glazed and toasted with butter which is a big add. The pastrami sandwich was very good as well as the grilled cheese. I have a picky eater and she loved the grilled cheese sandwich. On Wednesday they do have some specials that include some Vietnamese dishes. Highly recommend.

Very welcoming for a tiny place. The food is very reasonably priced. They have a lot of drink options. They have indoor and outdoor seating. They also have close parking.

Family ran cafe, so welcoming and accommodating. New weekly specials on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Delicious eggrolls and springrolls everyday.

Small mom and pop shop! The owners/workers are super nice and friendly. The sandwich was made fresh to order and I enjoyed it. Decent amount of food for the price ($12-13)! I would eat here again for lunch.

Breakfast bagel and special Chipotle panini

The food was delicious! The breakfast bagel was soft, cheesy, and very flavorful. We got a special panini with a Chipotle sauce. I like spicy and can handle heat and this had a good kick to it! So good! The gentleman working the register I assume was the owner was super friendly and had great customer service. The cafe was cute, clean, and had a lot of great options. Can't wait to go back!

Good place for airplanes spotting? It is so close to SNA. I don't think there is a restaurant near SNA with great views of the runways like the one in LA's Proud Bird…

You can't see anything from the airport at the restaurant. If you want to take it to-go, you can eat and see the planes land and take off down Airway Ave and turn right at Airport Loop Dr. That is a good spot to watch the planes.

Not all breakfast items were available on the menu when we were there (in the morning) - a little confusing, as the staff implied it was based on timing of a delivery or preparation or something? At the Costa Mesa location, parking was a little tricky at first, but after circling we got lucky with a corner spot. The location itself is SO cute! The line was pretty long and you are standing in direct sun, so just keep that in mind, but the service was quick and efficient once you order. Inside, it's small but really charming, with Sunny Angels hidden around and a very open, friendly vibe. My sister (who is basically a professional coffee drinker at this point ) got the matcha and said it was her favorite, which says a lot. I got the iced Spanish latte with oat milk, and it was SO good. Spanish lattes are my go-to, and this one had the perfect hint of cinnamon without being overly sweet. Even as the ice melted, it still tasted great, which is rare. The Torrance location was just as good! Parking was easier, the space is bigger, and the service was still super friendly and fast. My husband got the cold brew "Nook way" and finished it in like 10 minutes. He said it tasted like Golden Grahams cereal. Highly recommend both locations and especially the Spanish latte. I actually tried another nearby place first, only to discover it was closed for renovations--and I am SO glad it was, because otherwise I might never have found Long Black. I ended up coming here three times. No regrets. My first visit, I ordered the Biscoff cookie coffee and a spam, egg & cheese croissant. The coffee was delicious and, surprisingly, not overly sweet at all. You could still really taste the quality of the coffee underneath the flavor. And the spam, egg & cheese croissant? LIFE-CHANGING. Seriously. The next day I came back and tried their popular hazelnut Einspänner. I was not prepared for how thick the cream layer on top would be at first, but I let it sit for a bit while I drove to the office and allowed the cream to melt into the coffee a little. AMAZING. I love hazelnut, and this was so good. Naturally, I had to come back one more time before leaving and tried the banana cloud coffee. Again: fantastic. What impressed me most across all three drinks was the balance. Their flavored coffees aren't "sugar with some coffee." You taste the COFFEE first, then the rich cream and flavor, and then just enough sweetness. That's really hard to do well, and they absolutely nail it. I also tried an almond croissant, which was very good--and I say that as an almond-croissant heat-seeking missile who will find every great almond croissant within striking distance. They told me they bake their pastries in-house that morning, and you can tell. I eventually brought my sister with me, and she loved it too, including her regular croissant. Beyond the food and drinks, I loved watching the staff work. Everyone seemed genuinely dedicated to what they were doing and to the craft of making really good coffee. I came here because another coffee shop was closed. I came back twice because Long Black was THAT good. This will absolutely be my coffee stop anytime I'm on this side of town again.

Long Black has the option of online ordering but I decided to stop in to check out the ambiance. I found the interior much more spacious and welcoming than I'd expected seeing how weird the angle of the door to the cafe. We placed our orders and see several people already enjoying the space. The coffee and matcha are great. I see Long Black also joining the trend of offering season "Orange cream" type of a foam or note.... They took it up a notch by adding the essence of orange cream liqueur. I had to give it a try, and it wasn't bad, but the orange cream flavor didn't hold up the way I wanted. It dissolved pretty quickly, so by the end, it felt more like I was just drinking cold brew with a hint of orange. I should had stuck with my usual and favorite Biscoff Pannna Coffee!!
