    Spicy wonton

I found not one, but two black hairs in my pho. Luckily I had ordered some tasty wontons on the side so I had something to eat - and they were scrumptious, so I imagine the pho would have been nice, too.

Love this place. Haven't been in probably a year. Walked here to find the hours changed. But they have not on Google on Apple Maps on Yelp and so on. Bummer. Just asked Yelp to update so at least it is accurate on Yelp. There was a worker inside relaxing at the table on his phone, it was dark and clearly closed sadly at 4:30. Fortunately I only have to wait 30 mins and today I can do it, but would have sucked if not!

I love their take-out options. It's so Easy to use the website. It accepts apple-pay and the website through Beyond Menu. When I pick-up my food, it's always hot & ready. Very quick service. I have seen the restaurant when it's busy and there are times it's completely empty. I have already order various dishes from them and never had a problem. They open late which is a bonus, because a lot of places in the area close early. Don't expect the fine-dining experience. It's a very small restaurant & parking can be limited because of the bar next door. Staff is very nice & friendly. It's pretty much enjoy the food and come-back again.

    "crispy tofu". So bad
    Saya Y.

You know those restaurants in the middle of Michigan that are called "Oriental kitchen" and have chinese, korean, and japanese food, but also chicken nuggets. And the local white people eat it up? That's what this feels like, but the west LA version. The good: - The pho soup and noodles were good - The egg rolls were pretty good! The medium: - chicken wings were "standard" per by partner The bad: - service. Looks like it's a common issue but takeout took much longer than they said it would take. Probably took 20 minutes longer than they said it would, even our door dash driver was pissed. - see the photo of the "crispy tofu" salad. Hella over cooked, super hard and stale to chew, the fact that an establishment feels okay serving that level of mess up to someone that paid for that is wild. - The meat in the pho was TOUGH. My bf and I got different types of meat and both of them were really tough, like where you keep chewing forever and it balls up into a dry collection of meat that you can't swallow. Again, the low level of quality control is disheartening. Instead of a kind and homey family owned restaurant it feels like the greed to try to expand to different types of asian food resulted in poor management and delivery of goods. I love finding local small businesses like cafe brazil and plank 47 pizza and Fresh Pita Organic Express, but this isn't it.

This place is a traditional spot. They have amazing food. The service is great they always make sure you get taken care of. The lobby gives off a traditional viet lobby. I love that e need more of this in California . Bring back mom and pop shops this is for sure a hidden gem:

Salt & Black Pepper Chicken Egg Rolls
    Carly M.

Take out was fast, easy and to the point. The food was hot even after driving all the way home. The salt and pepper chicken was great - probably the best part of this meal. The egg rolls were ok, great crispy crunch but not much for flavor or texture on the inside. They combined two orders into one dish but that was more of an inconvenience trying to portion out. The noodles we ordered had hardly any veggies in them and were heavily, if not over, drenched in sauce. Not too bad but nothing amazing.

Love this place for their lemon grass chicken (chicken com) and beef rice plate and their chicken pho! Great prices and great quality everytime. Just like a home cooked meal. Their hot and sour soup changed though. Now it's watered down, too sweet & not very spicy. Tastes like a lot of corn starch.

    Pho to go

Today was the 3rd time that we've enjoyed 5i Pho at home, thanks to Grub Hub. We've ordered the same thing the last 3 times. - shrimp pho 5 Stars - chicken pho 4 Stars - curry veggie noodles 5 Stars - veggie egg rolls 4 Stars Today we added Orange Chicken. It gets 3 Stars. It was ok. Nothing memorable. Portions are good and sharing isn't a problem! The first time we ordered we got all the trimmings for our Pho. Second order, we were missing a bag of trimmings and the eel sauce (I think it's eel sauce) for the Pho. This order, we got everything. This is why I'm giving an overall score of 3 Stars. Consistently is key. The taste and quality is there but when you're missing the trimmings, my meal and taste buds suffer. Looking forward to trying new items.

I got the Creamy Tom Kha Chicken Noodle soup with a side of brown rice, my friend ordered the Yellow Curry, and my other friend ordered the Soft Shell Crab Curry. Everything tasted really good. Nothing was too spicy, especially my dish -which I asked to be medium spicy- and my friend who can't do spicy foods was able to eat it too. The pricing was commensurate with the quality, locale, and atmosphere. I'm knocking off one star because it took a long time for someone to take our orders. I think they were waiting until our entire table was seated, but they could have at least taken our drink and appetizer orders while we waited for our third person to join us. But after that initial hiccup, Service was friendly and attentive. Would definitely come here again if we are in the area!

My sugar sugar and I were looking for a place to have lunch with our daughter and saw this out the corner of our eyes. We pass it all the time but never thought to stop. One thing I love is some good Thai food. I'm from Long Beach and we're know for Thai food! So I have high expectations!!! There's certain cultures that absolutely cook with love and Thai food is at the top of that list. The marriage of flavors are unique and divine. BKK101 does just that!! We were greet with warmth and offered to sit anywhere we like. Since our daughter is young they brought us a high chair and a kids cup to keep her occupied (thank you!). I love the look and feel of the place. Small but inviting. We ordered veggie spring rolls, shrimp pineapple fried rice, and yellow curry with tofu. The curry came with a side of white rice too! Spring rolls were delicious with the right amount of crunch but the sauce. The sauce. The sauce. Yummers! Almost licked the plate! Yellow curry with tofu was heavenly. The right amount of heat, flavor and veggies. I loved the potatoes and carrots and the baby did too! But the show stopper for me was the pineapple fried rice. Who would have thought cashews and raisins in some rice would taste so good!!!! It was cooked perfectly!!! Right amount of curry and veggies. I wanted it for myself but my mama taught me that sharing is caring. All items were piping hot meaning, they cook to order. (Chefs kiss inserted here) When I say this place was so good we actually went back a week and a half later and took another daughter with us. Got literally the same dishes cuz they were sooooo good! What bothered me most was that nobody mentioned this beforehand. If I hadn't asked, I never would have known. The seafood portions were also very small--the shrimp, scallops, mussels, and calamari were each about the size of a quarter. I'm not kidding l, lol. The fish was the only generously sized portion.
