    Spicy wonton

I found not one, but two black hairs in my pho. Luckily I had ordered some tasty wontons on the side so I had something to eat - and they were scrumptious, so I imagine the pho would have been nice, too.

Vegetable Pho is my go to meal . Shrimp rolls tasty too. Correction: Dinner service starts at 5pm.

Love this place. Haven't been in probably a year. Walked here to find the hours changed. But they have not on Google on Apple Maps on Yelp and so on. Bummer. Just asked Yelp to update so at least it is accurate on Yelp. There was a worker inside relaxing at the table on his phone, it was dark and clearly closed sadly at 4:30. Fortunately I only have to wait 30 mins and today I can do it, but would have sucked if not!

I love their take-out options. It's so Easy to use the website. It accepts apple-pay and the website through Beyond Menu. When I pick-up my food, it's always hot & ready. Very quick service. I have seen the restaurant when it's busy and there are times it's completely empty. I have already order various dishes from them and never had a problem. They open late which is a bonus, because a lot of places in the area close early. Don't expect the fine-dining experience. It's a very small restaurant & parking can be limited because of the bar next door. Staff is very nice & friendly. It's pretty much enjoy the food and come-back again.

    "crispy tofu". So bad
    Saya Y.

You know those restaurants in the middle of Michigan that are called "Oriental kitchen" and have chinese, korean, and japanese food, but also chicken nuggets. And the local white people eat it up? That's what this feels like, but the west LA version. The good: - The pho soup and noodles were good - The egg rolls were pretty good! The medium: - chicken wings were "standard" per by partner The bad: - service. Looks like it's a common issue but takeout took much longer than they said it would take. Probably took 20 minutes longer than they said it would, even our door dash driver was pissed. - see the photo of the "crispy tofu" salad. Hella over cooked, super hard and stale to chew, the fact that an establishment feels okay serving that level of mess up to someone that paid for that is wild. - The meat in the pho was TOUGH. My bf and I got different types of meat and both of them were really tough, like where you keep chewing forever and it balls up into a dry collection of meat that you can't swallow. Again, the low level of quality control is disheartening. Instead of a kind and homey family owned restaurant it feels like the greed to try to expand to different types of asian food resulted in poor management and delivery of goods. I love finding local small businesses like cafe brazil and plank 47 pizza and Fresh Pita Organic Express, but this isn't it.

This place is a traditional spot. They have amazing food. The service is great they always make sure you get taken care of. The lobby gives off a traditional viet lobby. I love that e need more of this in California . Bring back mom and pop shops this is for sure a hidden gem:

Salt & Black Pepper Chicken Egg Rolls
    Carly M.

Take out was fast, easy and to the point. The food was hot even after driving all the way home. The salt and pepper chicken was great - probably the best part of this meal. The egg rolls were ok, great crispy crunch but not much for flavor or texture on the inside. They combined two orders into one dish but that was more of an inconvenience trying to portion out. The noodles we ordered had hardly any veggies in them and were heavily, if not over, drenched in sauce. Not too bad but nothing amazing.

Love this place for their lemon grass chicken (chicken com) and beef rice plate and their chicken pho! Great prices and great quality everytime. Just like a home cooked meal. Their hot and sour soup changed though. Now it's watered down, too sweet & not very spicy. Tastes like a lot of corn starch.

The sambal wontons were delicious and just the right amount of spice. It was the first time I had the Mie Tek Tek Indonesian noodles, which was like chow mein, but with unique spices that I enjoyed. The Cah Kangkung water spinach was also great. (It's like ong choy). While many of the main ingredients could be found in more common Chinese food, the spices were different and sweet and spicy in a Malaysian way. It was delicious and different. The service was really friendly and prompt. It's nice and modern inside. I liked the "antique" type plates which were cute. There's modern music and a cool hip vibe. There's a free small parking lot in front. I'll be back to try other dishes.

The laksa had a fishy smell & taste - as if there was a bit too much fish sauce. Overall, for Indonesian & southeast food it's not too bad. The services were good!

It was crispy on the outside and the shrimp was slightly on the firm side and slightly savory. Nasi capcay included a lot of fresh vegetables. It had more liquidy sauce than expected . The veggies soaked up the liquids quickly and began to get a little soggy. However the veggies were savory. The dish could use more greens. NOTE: this dish comes with shrimp which was NOT disclosed in the menu. We specifically ordered veggie only. One party member wanted a veggie dish but could not eat it due to shrimp allergies. Let them know to cook without shrimp if you have shrimp allergies The Nasi bunkus was delicious. Traditional Indonesian food would typically have a lot more tumeric and spicyness but this dish felt more streamlined. You can ask for more turmeric and spicyness if you prefer. Also The chicken was flavorful but a bit dry. The Riice was good, flavorful and not greasy. Perkedelle was tender but did not have as much crispyness as other perkedelle that ive had. The potato inside was not as light and fluffy as expected (compared to other perkedelle) and was instead on the slightly dense side. It was still good. The Bakwang jagung, or corn fritters, were both crispy and a bit dense and sticky. It was savory and was not greasy at all. We liked this dish. Es doger was good BUT had tough meat husks in the drink. The coconut flavor and bits were a nice addition to the drink. The casava and condensed milk had the right amount without being overpowering. If not for the husks in the drink, i would recommend it. Es cendol was heavy on the condensed milk and slightly overrpowered the pandan jelly and bits of jackfruit. It was ok. Overall this restaurant is an option for the area if you are looking Indonesian food.

Every dish tasted thoughtful, unique, and restaurant-week-level refined. We ordered the nasi goreng fried rice, noodles, beef rendang, yam dish, and pea salad. Flavor-wise? The portions were tiny -- not "small plates" tiny, but more like one-to-two bites each while still being priced aggressively. By the end, I felt more impressed than full. The special combo rice plate included a piece of chicken on a bed of shredded cabbage, what looked like two types of rice, some beef rendang, a side of curry that had green beans, onions, and chayote. And a nice fried boiled egg. I might be missing a meat, but it was a really wonderful sampler of some of their delicious dishes and thought it was great. The gado gado was actually delicious, I love their peanut sauce that goes great with the tofu, melon/radish, and egg! The cocopandan soda was pretty good, tasted like a cream soda/italian cream soda but when you get that cocopandan froth it's definitely more distinct! I don't think it has a strong pandan coconut flavor but it's good! I actually really liked their pastries--we had the Risole, Lemper, Dutch roll, and banana chocolate roll. When we come back I'd really like to try some noodle dishes and their Kaya toast! Risole was delicious, the roll is soft and tastes like a chicken pot pie, it comes with this absolutely addicting orange sauce, which was my personal favorite from the ones we tried. The lemper was warm, sticky rice well made with a sort of curry chicken inside. We had more of the addicting orange sauce. The Dutch roll is beef and kale mix, reminded me of a meat pie, it was still crispy on the outside. The banana chocolate roll is exactly what you'd expect! Pretty good.
