Had a very delicious meal with hubby . He had the sushi roll and I had the garlic vegetables. Everything was cooked to perfection. I couldn't understand why the restaurant was empty but I could see they had a good take out. I've only been here once, but I had a great experience. I learned about this restaurant after I discovered both my local go-to Thai spots had a whopping 14 health score violations each. Emerald Thai Restaurant felt exceptionally clean. My party was the only one dining in when we arrived around 8:30pm on a Sunday. Each table had fresh cut flowers. The instrumental Bruno Mars music played at a comfortable volume. Customer service was excellent. My party had the Tom Kha Gai and Tom Kha Soup. I requested mine to not be spicy if possible. Neither soup was spicy the way it was served to us. The soup I was served was the least spicy Tom-anything soup I've had. It was very tasty. Both were flavoured perfectly and most enjoyable. The appetizer fried tofu. Also perfect. Thai beef salad, which was very good. 1 cup of hot tea, 1 Japanese strawberry soda (so yummy). To go we took pad kee mao, mix veg in basil sauce, basil fried rice no egg, pad gra prow, larb gai. All of the above were very nice. Pad gra prow was delicious! Pricing here is about average. Parking is a pain due to the patrons of a very popular sports bar that has been there forever in the same plaza. Food came out to diners relatively quickly. Very impressive considering the number of staff. We would definitely dine here again. After all, dining out is about the FOOD. Your decor and service can be the best I have ever had... if your food is not delicious you will not see us again. This is a very interesting little restaurant, located in a tiny strip mall off State Route 84 in Davie, FL. It is a very unassuming location but don't be fooled asthe food is very good. They are open for both lunch and dinner; however, for lunch they offer both soup and salad with peanut and ginger dressing as well. This is all included as a part of the lunch offerings but I am not sure if they offer the same for dinner. They do offer a lunch meals section at the rear of their menu; however, you can order dinner size portions if you like as well. They have a nice selection of all the usual appetizers and they also offer both brown or white rice options. For starters we ordered the Thai Spring Rolls and the Stem Chicken Dumplings which were very tasty. For our main lunch item we both decided to have the Red Curry with Chicken which had the traditional Coconut Milk, Bamboo Shoot and Bell Peppers ingredientes. We opted for medium heat on the curry which turned out to be just right. Next time I will try out the "El Scorcho" level heat and see what it's like. Can you say I love "Hot" food? LOL! Seemed to me like they were a little short staffed but that do not impact the quality of service. They were very courteous and attentive to our needs. Parking was not a problem either as they are in a strip mall but if it gets busy I can see you having to park a little ways away. No worries as they do have covered walkways so if it rains you should be good to go. Prices are very affordable as well as most items were priced under $20 for dinner and under $12 for lunch size dishes. Until my last two visits, service and food here was almost impeccable. The friendliness of the only waitress and waiter disappeared on my last two eat-ins. Adding insult to injury, was that I felt singled out among a group of customers when, while waiting to be served a few weeks ago, customers who were seated after me ate and left while I still waiting for my table to be cleared and get my check. Through this disturbing ordeal my server's eyes never made contact with mine, I had to make all sort of hand gestures to be noticed; no smile, no "how are you?" from the guy who mostly waited on me for over three years. Today, Dec 4. 2024, I went to place a take-out lunch order and had to walk out without the order being placed as the waitress insisted that I must order from the set menu. Unless the rules were broken for me before, because on all previous occasions I was allowed to make slight changes to my order; I order the same thing all the time. Even at Subway you can ask to "hold the cheese and ask for extra tomato, etc." So why in the hell Emerald Thai, with an attitude, is compelling me to order from a set menu. Over the period that I have been a patron, I have been taking friends and relatives and also recommending the restaurant to others to dine at the restaurant, all of whom would not bat an eye to tip in excess as I have also been doing. Initially, I was dining here up to 3 times per week leaving tips ranging from minimum to maximum plus, so why the change guys? I have given you your due customer-to-server respect so why do I now have to go to another Thai restaurant to get mine? read more

As a first time Thai eater, the food was amazing. The money is better spent here in comparison to what you can get for around $10; better than the run of the mills Chipotle's, Taco Bells, etc. as a vegetarian eater. It's nothing to throw together rice and some vegetables together; stir fried rice noodles and tofu, not so much. (For me at least) I got the Pad Thai with Tofu and my friend got the Pad Thai with Vegetables. Both were amazing! This also came with a vegetable spring roll and the guy threw in a free Thai Tea while saying "Happy Holidays", which was a nice surprise/gesture. read more

This restaurant has quickly become one of my go to Thai places. Their curries are amazing and usually pretty loaded. Their green curry and papaya salad blew me away :) Their customer service is excellent. Waters are always filled, servers are always friendly and super helpful, and food always comes out quickly! Don't judge it by the outside though! We mostly come during dinner time and while the restaurant itself isn't always "busy" I know they do a lot of take out (10% off if you order online!). This, by no means, is a bad thing - it just means you'll get seated quickly. Note: I think the ownership of this place changed recently? The reviews from a couple (and plus) years ago were pretty bad, but their reviews are no longer applicable. Their curries not not an "oily mess," a panang curry does NOT cost $27 dollars( even with the brown rice option) and the portion sizes are pretty adequate (I never finish and always have leftovers). We ordered the chicken pad Thai, red chicken curry, massan curry, Mongolian beef, crab rangoons, and spring rolls. Everything was so delicious but my favorite was definitely the pad Thai, red curry, and spring rolls! When I went to pick up the staff were so kind and friendly, and they even gave me a free milk tea, I don't know the name but it was amazing!!! We ordered the green curry and drunken noodles for lunch during the pandemic. Both of the dishes were very authentic and flavorful. We asked for a high spice level and they delivered! The menu is very large and quite customizable. there are tons of options for vegans/vegetarians. Additionally, they have lunch portions/specials available if you are interested (comes w a spring roll). The service was great. Our waiter was very kind, quick, and attentive. My husband and I have been going to Emerald Thai for several years. I hope that COVID-19 does not put them out of business because their food remains the best Thai food ever! They have the perfect amount of spice, flavor, and presentation. We had a take-out order recently and although had difficulty with getting it online they gave us the 10% off discount because we had originally ordered online. I highly, highly recommend Emerald Thai restaurant for all of your Thai food needs. The chicken or duck basil is fabulous, I love the Massimo on curry with chickenOr shrimp, as well as I love their fried shrimp anyway they make it!
