Visited their dealership last weekend, and had a very good experience. Having read reviews prior to my visit, I set my expectations pretty low, but all in all, a very good experience. I didn't call ahead and ask about a specific car, since I was already visiting another dealer in the area. That being said, they have many cars on their website, that have been on there for several weeks, which when I got to the dealership, they didn't have. No big deal, except the car I specifically wanted was one of those listed on the site, but not in stock. Given the specificity of the model I was looking for, it isn't surprising, since whatever dealer does have that exact model with those options, the car usually spends less than 1 week on the lot before someone buys it. I test drove 2 cars, and Mr. Ortiz was very helpful, patient and not pushy. After i spent about 45+ minutes taking my time looking at the cars and test driving them, we went inside and met the manager, Juan Jose, who explained whatever pertinent info needed explaining, such as financing, warranty, etc. They were also open to working with me on the price. I didn't end up buying the car because it wasn't exactly what i wanted, and there were other dealers i wanted to visit who had the specific car I'm searching for in stock, however I am still keeping both this dealer, and that specific car in mind. In summation, both Mr. Ortiz and Mr. Juan Jose were professional, and did what I expected them to do, cater as best they could to my needs. I went for a specific car and have great credit and ready to trade a car paid in full, plus put a down payment. But I didn't read the reviews until after I went and realized how poorly they treated the customer only until I've experienced it for myself. So I arrived at the EMG Auto Sales in Avenel NJ with the firm intention of buying a car. I wasn't looking to kick tires nor offer an extremely low offer. Nor had I gone there to give anyone a hard time. But first the sales person said naned Robert, he didn't want to insult me with his low appraisal on my vehicle which maybe he was trying to "steal the trade" or they just work with newer cars. That I understand, ok. So then, not only do they not work with the trade but not even discount the vehicle off the price. I was like ...wow. No discount ok. On top of that he added a "pre-fee" of $1850 to bounce me higher and said, "you don't know how much we have to spend to prepare the car for sale." I'm thinking to myself, dude that should already be incorporated in the price but he continued his pitch and I didn't show emotion. He said there's no need to get upset with his pitch getting higher and higher, and I'm like I'm not upset these are numbers. He didn't realize I work in car sales until after we met and test drove and sat down to discuss numbers. But I had my poker face on. I just realized that his intentions were not to negotiate at all. As a matter of fact, the feeling is quite simple. The message he was sending me was it's his way or the highway, which I took without no deal made. So a week went by and I decided to call the dealership and speak with a higher manager. The receptionist picks up and said he was in a meeting and Jonathan, no last name was in a meeting. I asked for his direct number. She said the receptionist is his number. I said, he doesn't have a desk with no phone. I told her, I'll call back. So I called back 40 mins later asking for Jonathan, the receptionist said, he doesn't come in until 12 today. I told her, I thought he was supposed to be in meeting. And ended the conversation. Terrible experience. Went to this dealership because I saw a Chevy express extended van. Website showed 5 vans available. Arrive at the dealership to find out they have no vans but will be getting some in the next day. I was trying to stay in contact with our dealer...Junior....but, he was unresponsive the following day. The vehicles they brought in, which came directly from the auction and had damage throughout the entire vehicle and tried to sell to me for $21000. I passed on the vehicle. I looked online at their sister store car revolution in Maple shade and noticed they had a Chevy express.... exactly the kind I was looking for. I'm sure you see the issue. I purchased a 2016 Transit Connect from EMG or Car Revolution or whatever name they are using this month. Within 1,000 miles and less than a month, the alternator pulley blew off and damaged other things on the side of the engine. I foresaw issues of this nature happening on a used vehicle from a dealership such as this, so I purchased the extended warranty offered by EMG, Ally. The only problem is, it has been two weeks since my vehicle has been at the shop. Ally is saying they never received the inspection sheet from EMG so they will not approve my repairs. I have called EMG numerous times begging them to send the paperwork. Every time I get a different story, "we sent it over", "I'll do it right now", "I'll call the ""office"" and have it sent over ASAP." It has been two weeks, my vehicle is still sitting at the shop, Ally still does not have the correct paperwork. I'm starting to think I may not have a warranty that I paid for. read more

My girlfriend and I went there after seeing what appeared to be a great deal on a 2019 Jetta (1,110 miles) for just over $14k. We arrived and spoke with Voyetk who seemed nice enough when we were introduced. We looked at the car and right off the bat he couldn't answer basic questions such as 'where did the car come from?' I understand that he might not know off the top of his head, but he never bothered to figure it out when we got inside the dealership. We asked to test drive it and he said 'well, the way it usually works is we make the deal with the financing and then test drive.' What?!?! Actually, that's the opposite of how it works. Why would we sit down and go through all of the financing and THEN test drive it to find out we don't like it? Talk about backwards. Then we sat down to do the financing and we were hit with $3k worth of fees. A DMV fee (ok, fine), a delivery fee (the cost of getting the car to the dealership), a prep fee (to get the car ready for us) and a couple others. Then on top of that, the rate we were given made the car's total cost around $28k. Double what it was listed for. Don't bother with this amateur hour operation. They don't know how to communicate. They aren't transparent at all and did zero to sell the car or help us out in any way. I mean, we had to pull teeth to get a test drive. What dealership isn't willing to do that? Didn't use any bad emotional sales ploy, didn't try to manipulate me like most of the other dealerships I went to tried to do. In early May 2012 my spouse and I traded in our 2011 Nissan Rogue for a ML 350 and they totally screwed us by not remitting the payoff from the new finance company to Nissan Financial in a timely matter. They either held the money or forgot but it took me following up with Nissan, the new finance company and the rude receptionist and finance manager numerous times over the course of about two weeks. Anyway, it was mid June before Nissan received the payoff from EMG... Resulting in a 30 day late on my credit which they said they would take care of, it's almost August and nothing! I'm extremely frustrated with EMG because we bought two luxury brand cars from their lot- a fully loaded BMW 550 and a Range Rover Autobiography sport and BOTH have had nothing but issues. The Range Rover we bought for me while I was pregnant to feel safe in and since I drove it off the lot I have felt anything BUT safe. While driving (IN DRIVE) the car will randomly stop responding to me giving gas. The engine revs and the car doesn't go anywhere. If I'm on a slight incline IN DRIVE, inching up the hill, the truck will roll backward. There are times I'm stopped at a red light and go to start driving and the truck will not move anywhere the engine just revs. This has happened while stopped waiting for traffic to move and many other times as well. I have a 3 month old baby and the fact that these issues are putting our lives at risk Is pathetic. The suspension is faulty and there is a leak in the coolant so we're constantly stopping to buy coolant to top it off. The BMW CONSTANTLY has leaks in the hoses where it begins to smoke. We spent a lot of money on our cars and we take care of them. Get them serviced on time and don't drive them carelessly. Not to mention, the man who runs the service department is soooo nasty when you call to schedule an appointment. He is rude and makes you feel like you're bothering him by calling. I don't understand how a company can knowingly sell such shitty cars. This isn't like selling a phone or a computer. This is a machine that IF IT DOESN'T WORK PROPERLY, CAN KILL YOU OR CAUSE AN ACCIDENT. My fiancé and I will NEVER buy from EMG again. I have another certified, Pre-Owned BMW (3rd vehicle) which I purchased from PINE BELT CHEVY and have never had any issues with. So there is no excuse for these used cars being awful buys. One week after I purchased the car it started having problems. Even though the car was under warranty, Ron from service. insisted that the car is fine. I took the car to a Subaru dealer and had Subaru call them and explain 3x to Ron what was the problem. Ron said that he would fix the problem at no charge, however when I got to EMG he denied everything and said that my problems were not covered by the warranty. I called to check availability of a van I saw on some search sites, and the woman who answered the phone wouldn't even answer any of my questions until I gave her my name and phone number. First red flag. Then I asked her about the ~15% in scam fees they try to add to the advertised price, including $2k for a "pre-delivery service inspection"! I'd love to see any vehicle inspection worth even close to $2k, and I'm pretty sure if one like that exists, it's not being done by this place. She said they "don't talk about any numbers over the phone and I'd have to come in for that". I told her I was calling from hundreds of miles away but she still wouldn't answer any of my questions and just kept asking me "when I could come in". The Epitome of poor customer service. Called night before and set up an appointment for a car and let them know I lived in Ohio (8 hour drive). Next morning I wake up at 5am to get ready for the drive and even send a text asking if everything's good at 7am to the dealership phone number they had been texting me from the two days prior. Finally arrive in New Jersey and walk in the dealership to sit down and be told that "the car sold this morning". No one even thought to call and let me know and morning meant before noon so they could've saved me 12 hours of driving. On top of that the manager offered reimbursement for our gas in a check we never received. Purchasing a Pre- Owned Vehicle was not an arduous and long process thanks to my experience at EMG AUTO. Entering EMG I noticed the vast amount of inventory these guys have, INSANE! I kept focused. I had my eyes... correction, my heart set on a 2013 Mercedes-Benz GL350 . I have never personally owned a Mercedes-Benz before but it has just been one of those cars I have appreciated from afar. First thing: I wanted to make sure the vehicle was available, without hesitation my potential Salesman took me to the car. Feeling good about the research I have done on this car, I think I even impressed the sales guy. The Mercedes was super squeaky clean, just gorgeous. Now, the fun begins. The Salesman, Omar was not a fast talker, he made this process seamless. His patience with me was unparalled, listening to my questions and responding with real concrete answers. We even talked about his love for Mercedes-Benz too. Next, it's was time for Financing and this is where I ran into problems. There were some charge offs on my credit, somethings I thought would have been cleared by now. Nonetheless Omar and Billy in financing stayed past their work schedule to help me get approved. Everything said and done I got the price point I wanted with 100% financing. I was a happy camper. Double Kudos to EMG - Selling cars is not easy task as there's so much involved. Don't get me wrong, I am not downplaying the work I saw these people doing. I am happy to say that their professionalism and courtesy went a long way. I drove 1.5hrs with my family based on information I received from EMG about a BMW x3 for sale. I specifically asked that they go and touch the car to ensure it was there and they told me yes it was. 1.5hr later and 35mins waiting to see a sales person I was told that it was sold some time ago and that the 77 designation at the end of the price implies this. I also learned that an 85 designation means its the lowest price a car can be sold for. Wonderful! so the sales person either does not know this or like the title says is very dishonest. Based on that I would never do business with these people since they can't be honest from the get go. Harsh reviews here, wow. Remember, these guys are used car salesmen. I found a Jeep Commander on line and went to see it. Good condition and drove nicely. Omar and Juan Jose put the full court press on to try to get me to buy it on the spot, but that was too be expected. The original price, on line price, and sale price all changed multiple times. These guys can hustle, so get your head out of your ass and try to keep up. In the end I let it rest for two days, called back and got a price I am happy with and they agreed to. Really bad customer service after the car purchase. They said that once I bring the check provided by the outside financial group that i went too they will handle the title change, meaning adding the financial group's name as a lien holder but nope.. The lien holder was assigned to a different financial group and is now my responsibility to change it. The Financial manager there changes your yearly salary just to give you a good reputation. They really seem to be all nice when you are buying, but once you're done buying and you have the car and they have the down payment, everything went south. This is my 3rd time going to a dealer this size and i tell you this is the worst. Don't get me wrong, they have a lot of nice cars but if you're buying there make sure u bring cash and never go finance it with them... Trust me it is really bad. If i was able to record everything they said to me that they will do i will recommend this and buy one more car, but now.. Complete waste of time. I had went there looking to purchase a vehicle I had seen on their website. The first day I went there, I told the salesman, no "bs" back and forth games, I'd like to strike a fair deal quickly and move on - I personally don't enjoy hours, days or weeks of negotiating. Fairly simple right? No. I went back the NEXT day since the first day they didn't have the vehicle on the lot. When I went back, the truck magically had 1,000 or so more miles than advertised and it seemed as if someone had been driving it around for about a week. We had asked if the vehicle was ever in an accident. At first they stated no, then during the test drive he found a smart way to bring up the topic of how they DON'T purchase damaged vehicles, if they do only very small fender-benders, if that. Turns out after requesting the Carfax, the vehicle was involved in a collision with front-end, rear-end AND functional damage - didn't seem so slight anymore. This is where I was aggravated. The buying process should be FAIR. I understand that businesses need to make money, I own several myself, but keep the process FAIR and ETHICAL, which is where they tremendously failed. When the time came to run some numbers, I was interested to see what they could come up with. After their "$1,695 Processing Fee," DMV and Doc fee, I was at $50k for a truck that wasn't worth $45k. When I told Franco, the sales representative, that this was way out of the ballpark figure for even what the truck was worth and it would be more feasible to pay the SAME price for a truck that was not damaged, he became extremely offensive and condescending. He told me that there would be nowhere else I could find this vehicle for that price. I argued that I could, probably even for a better price and he became extremely rude and started speaking loudly about how that isn't possible. We went back and forth arguing our points, but in the end I walked out without even receiving a "thank you" or a handshake. The reviews on Yelp and Google speak for themselves. This business relies on bait and switch tactics, EXTREMELY poor customer service, poor product knowledge, unprofessional and unethical business practices as well as a completely unorganized staff. Franco, if you are reading this, please remember you are a car salesman, nothing more, nothing less. Customer service and customers shopping around for pricing is a part of the process. If you cannot handle simple negotiating skills or believe that there are professionals in this world who are smarter than you are, you are going nowhere in life. People reading this - save your time, money and effort. Pay the extra money and go to an actual dealership. Went there for a work van that I found on their lot online seemed fishy that a 2018 Ford transit with 12,xxx miles on it was only selling for 20k$ , anyway maybe I actually found a great deal ! so I go there to look , the salesmen was nice And I take the van out with whom I'm with driving around for about half hour go back and he says "I have some bad news, another salesmen is working on the paper work it just sold, are you interested in anything else that we have " , which are all Normal priced transits with more millage for around 30k$ , my personal thought is they are using it as a lure in vehicle then saying it's sold to push a hire priced vehicle , and I have read this multiple times about this dealer on Yelp review that vehicle get sold right out from under clients noses , terrible way to run business , and obviously terrible communication between salesmen and management if they can't even keep track on who is selling what and when read more

Took a 2 hour drive up here to check out an awesome car on this lot. Friendly people, fair, and most important honest and professional. Worked with the salesman Ken Cruz and from the first email to first conversation on the phone he was extremely awesome and chill, but most importantly knowledgeable on the vehicles on his lot. Upon arrival the lot is kind of small, but filled with awesome cars. Ken took his time and was patient when showing us the different cars. Went back the next week to make my purchase the next week. I am incredibly disappointed and disgusted with the experience that I have had with this dealership. I purchased my car from them on October 7th, the actual sale process was quick and I was in and out of the dealership in about an hour and a half...However, the car was back at their service department on October 10th for repairs that both my boyfriend and I were assured would be taken care of. The car was picked up again on October 12th after confirmation from the service department that one of the issues was fixed and they were waiting for parts to fix the 2nd issue. We picked up the car and took it to our local mechanic who confirmed that the issue that EMG said was fixed was not and the car was back at the dealership by October 14th, keys were handed in to their front desk who confirmed that they would give the keys to the service department on Monday and we would get a call then. We of course did not get a call and once I called the service department the "manager" claimed that no one told him that we brought the car back and he had no idea why it was there. It is now November 4th, and I still do not have my car back (3 weeks and counting) nor can anyone give any real answers when I call for updates, I have gotten a different story every time I call. These people are dishonest crooks, the service manager is incredibly rude and condescending, they knowingly sell lemons and good luck trying to get any assistance from them after the sale goes through and you are out of the door. I had to send an email, call twice, and my boyfriend sat in their dealership for almost a full day to just pick up paperwork from my transaction that I was missing and that I was told would be ready that morning and it no one could locate it when I called before he showed up (he missed work that day BTW, because apparently getting paper work from your transaction is a complicated process and only one person can get the paperwork for you) do yourself a favor and go to a reputable dealer. I am taking legal action against them and I have also notified my bank who has this dealer listed as an approved dealer under their finance program of their shady business practices. These people need to be put out of business. read more

Stay Away!!! This place is sheer fraud. Jervon, the glorified secretary pretends to have the cars but doesn't. Spent all day waiting for nothing. Makes promises regarding trade in and fees until you get there. Jervon hides upstairs while inexperienced salesman screw up and pretend to have conversations with nonexistent managers. This place is a ripoff!!! If you buy a car here...well you can't fix stupid. read more
