If I could give 0 stars I would. The salesman I had was fantastic and really would be a great addition to any company so I will exclude him from my concerns. Firstly, I purchase a beautiful 2015 Ghibli thinking that it should be in satisfactory working order as its posted for sale, not the case! I begin my journey by overall looking over the car and appearance wise, it all checked out fine. We then proceed to test drive the car and that's when I noticed that the car was in extreme need of a wheel alignment as it was severely pulling to the right during the test drive. We get back into the office and the negotiations ensue back and forth deciding on how much extra I should pay because their car needs a wheel alignment! I understand that all business is built on profit however, why would the customer be liable to foot the bill on an alignment that should have been sorted prior to the dealership posting the car for sale? After hours of debating and negotiating, we finally "agree" to "split" the cost of alignment 50/50 ( Again very strange for the dealer to incorporate this repair barter into a deal pre sale). I reluctantly oblige to the sale contingent upon the wheel alignment being completed. Next day to my surprise, I wake up with the tire completely flat, it was later revealed to me by the mechanic that they were aware of the slow leak due a bent wheel. So just to recap, you listed a car for sale knowing the car has a severe wheel alignment issue, a known bend in the wheel causing a slow leak and you still decide to list it without properly addressing this issues beforehand? I had no choice but to tow the car back to the dealership on a Tuesday night, the car sits there for an entire week with 0 communication outside of me calling for updates! The service manager that they have answering the phone is extremely non personable and slightly rude. I'm the customer and I'm being inconvenienced by not having my car for a week, why would you have an attitude? Fast forward, a week of me begging for updates and callbacks, I finally get a text from my salesman stating "done". I arrive to find the car parked in quite possibly the worst section of the parking lot in the back where the pavement has a dip and is cracking. Very smart to park a car in a ditch that just came back from wheel alignment/bent wheel. I picked up the car with the tank on E and it was filthy!! The last straw was a crack that I found on my side rocker that mysteriously popped up after they serviced the car. The crack/rip in the rocker is ironically towards the front an inch away from where you would jack up the car, coincidence? I think not. I texted my salesman to let him know that they damaged the rocker during service and I never heard back. At this point, I'm just happy to have my car back but I wanted to warn others to keep your eyes open when dealing with them, before, after and during the buying process. read more

I purchased a Hummer H3 a couple months back. It was the worst mistake I've ever made. I traded in another vehicle for the Hummer and I never felt I got a fair shake on its value. I was assured the Hummer was in perfect shape but within a few weeks I discovered that a number of things were bad. I first replaced the battery and then was forced to replace the rack and pinion, upper and lower control arms, a wheel hub assembly, several TPMS, and CV boots were bad. Very shady dealership, was there to look at a car and after we worked out the numbers the sales rep asked me for my credit card, was gone for about 20 minutes to go speak with the manager. When he came back he handed me back my credit card and at the end we did not reach an agreement in value for my trade in vehicle, so I left without purchasing a car. The following day I got a call from my credit card company stating that there was fraud in my account for purchases made for an amount of close to $3,000.00. I went there thinking it was a good dealership as per the reviews online but it was just a waste of my time. First of all, the agent who helped me was FRANCO. I signed the contract and took the car. Then he got in contact with me saying the needed more information for the bank AFTER i already had the car. Information was sent to him and he mention everything was fine and that he spoke to the bank and I didn't have to worry about anything. I submitted the information he requested BUT THEN he mention something went wrong with the bank to pass by to sign a NEW contract with a WAY more higher monthly payment than my original contract which I ALREADY HAD SIGNED. DON'T LET THEM FOOL YOU. Franco said "I spoke to the bank and all the need is xxxx." He never actually spoke to them to find anything out. Extremely bad and frustrating experience We were going to purchase a vehicle, after many discussions, we did not make the purchase. Many lies, the numbers increased, credit check made without our consent although we specified the purchase would not be finance.It has been 13 days and EMG has NOT returned money to my credit card. I have made several requests in writing and they keep calling asking me to come back to the dealership indicating they have a car for me. This has been my worst experience ever. ALL dealerships price cars online low so you go in and they tell you that exact one is sold but they have one just like it, that's fine, I get it. And I get the taxes and fees addition of the price although it does suck. BUT. What really pisses me off is this dealership charges $1700 just to sell you the car!!! $1700. Add that the the final price of your car. $1700 just for a "prep fee" ... essentially to wash the car and change the oil. People and places like this really take the fun out of what is supposed to be an enjoyable experience. This place is a complete joke and not even worth the one star I gave them. - Staff is very rude unprofessional. The woman who works the front desk belittled me in front of her co workers and I overheard all of them talking about me, not even trying to be discreet. -The sales manager wanted me to lie on my credit application to guarantee that I'd be approved for my loan so he could make a sale. -There was no help from our sales man, Omar. He didn't explain anything about the car. Our "test drive" was backing in and out of the parking spot in the lot. -More than 50% of the cars on the website are not even on their lot. I guess once something has been sold they don't bother to update their online inventory, just to get you to come in. There were several cars I was interested in from the website and none of them were available. -I had to call up for an issue with my registration and another person in finance laughed at me and asked why did I even have an issue. He was very condescending and sarcastic. -Obviously uneducated staff when they told me my trade in wasn't even worth $10K when it was only a 2 year old car that is still hot on the market. I think the staff needs to understand this is a luxury car dealership, nevertheless it is a used luxury car dealership but customres are still dropping large amounts of money here. If I could give them less than 1 star I would!! Went here to look at 4 advertised navigators. They had NONE of the ones I had ads for. There were 3 we looked at and 2 that were disgusting and torn up. We waited for our sales guy, Eddie to come out and show us the cars for atleast 30 min! Once he finally got out there we decided to drive one. There were quite a few things wrong with it, the 2 most concerning being the power mirrors aren't moving up at all and thick white smoke billowing out the tail pipe being the second. We tried to talk numbers and the final price. He wanted to fill out a whole register form and take it to his mgr before he could tell us the price! I contacted EMG on line and quickly got a call back from Alex. I explained to him I'm a fairly seasoned car buyer I don't want to play games and go back & forth. All I need to know from you is what's the final bottom line out the door price to me. How much do I need to pay you when I show up. If it's a number I can live with I will pay by wire transfer or certified check or even cash if that works for you or any combination there of. Just give me the final # with no BS. Alex says OK, let me see what I can do and I'll call you back. Never received that call. I followed up electronically letting Alex know I'm interested in the Sante Fe and waiting to hear back re: a price. Never received a response. When I 1st saw this Hyundai it was listed at $19,591 a price that definitely got my interest. I see it's now listed for $17,923. We bought a car this past Mon on MLK day in Maryland just outside of DC. Saw the car on line, responded electronically. I got a call in a matter of minutes. Gave the person my: What's the bottom line pitch-excluding sales tax and registration as I'd be paying all that at time of registration in NJ. He immediately without hesitation came back with a # that sounded good to me. I said, OK. Since he's 200 miles away about a 3.5 hr drive for me, I said can't get to you for about a week, probably on Monday MLK Day. Can I give you a $5000 deposit to hold the car by CC or wire transfer. He said, don't need it, will hold it for you. Next question was, OK-when I show up to pick it up do you want a wire transfer or Certified Check. He says personal check is OK. My come back is, you don't know me, I'm 200 miles away in another state, banks will be closed on Monday no way for you to verify funds and you're OK with a personal check. he says, Yes. My wife and I got there around noon this past Mon our car was sitting out front all shined up and ready to go. They were OK with me putting $5000 on CC to get points and balance was personal check and we completed the transaction in about 30 minutes. The entire transaction went as all car buying transactions should. Quick, completely transparent and painless. Bought the car at Passport Mazda in Suitland Md. Other car dealers should study Passports business model and emulate it. It can only help their business and polish up the their image/reputation. I have nothing but good things to say about EMG and their staff. I was rear ended and thought my car was repairable. Upon further inspection, it was determined that my car was a total loss. I was devastated! Once I accepted that there was nothing I could do, I began browsing online. I believe it was autotrader. I soon found a car that I felt was perfect for me. A 2014 Acura ILX 2.4L 6 speed. It had many of the same traits of the 2013 Civic Si that I had just lost. I sent an email to schedule a test drive without thinking much about it. Within minutes I was received a call from EMG to confirm. The next day, I want to the dealership. All I knew at this point was that I had driven by this dealership 1000s of time on my was to work or just on a quick trip to Wawa and always like the inventory I saw showcased on the outside. Upon entering, I was approached by a very nice young salesman, Yolkis. We spoke for a little bit before we went to check out the car. I went for a quick spin and liked it. We came back in and spoke about my situation and that I was steal dealing with insurance formalities before I could finalize the deal. Not once did I feel any pressure to hurry up and buy, or be put in a different car that the salesman would want to sell me instead. In the week it took me to finally figure out how to buy this vehicle, I was contacted by Yolkis a couple of times to see what my status was. I was always very honest with him, and so was he. When I went back, the process was quick and painless, and when I told Yolkis I was going to stop by to purchase after work, he made sure it was detailed and ready to go for me that morning so I wouldn't have to wait. After all the paperwork the goes with financing a car, I met with Bill sales manager. He was also great and made the process quick and painless for me. Overall, I will say that buying from EMG was a great experience for me. In between my first test drive, and the purchase, I saw some negative reviews that were concerning, but I can honestly say, I didn't have a single bad experience on what ended up being 3 visits to EMG. I purchased a 2008 Mazda Tribute from EMG on 8/8/2015. I walked into the Jersey City location and worked out a $1,000 deposit on this car, I didn't have the $ so they let me sign a promissory note for $1,000 that was due 9/1/2015 upon a check I was awaiting. I have yet to pay them the $1,000. On 10/8/15 my ENGINE SEIZED ON 1/9 EXPRESSWAY & I was almost in a very bad accident because of this. I immediately called EMG and they couldnt careless about me or my situation. I was greeted by Lenny from Jersey City location on the phone and his first words after hearing my situation was "Oh Nicole, what happened to the $1000 we aren't going to register you until you pay us that". Very nice, considering I was almost in a huge accident and crying on the phone. He told me I can tow it to their Avenel location but I would be responsible for all repairs because I bought an as is car, WHAT?! But how the hell did my engine seize (WITH NO OIL BEING IN THE TANK BEING THE REASON!) when your salesman told me the car had just been serviced with and oil/filer changed, brakes& rotors changed. My sticker for my oil change still shows another 1,000 miles till service needed. & I don't drive much at all. There was never an oil light or check engine light to ever come up. I WAS SOLD A VEHICLE IN WHICH THEY KNEW HAD PRIOR ISSUES, A LEMON!! Also, while overlooking my sales agreements for any warranty info, I came across another lie, they told the bank I am financing w/ that I put a $3800 deposit on this car, THAT IS UNTRUE!! I signed a promissory note for $1,000! They frauded the bank to get me an approval and sold me a car that they knew they could take a lose on. I immediately called the bank & they told me EMG sent proof of $3800 deposit in form of receipt, funny because I have voicemails in which they admit to not registering my car until I pay them $1,000 on 9/11 proving that they never had a complete amount of $ like they are telling the bank they received from me. They never registered my car until this Friday, 10/16. Over 2 months from being paid by my bank for the vehicle, and thats only because I called last Weds questioning this whole thing again & letting them know I was calling a lawyer & Lennys answer was IDK HOW THE DEAL WAS WORKED OUT WHEN YOU GOT THERE, WE HELPED YOU GET IN A CAR THOUGH. Yea into a car you knew was a lemon & took advantage of a young girl buying her first car, lying to me & involved my name in a fraudulent act w/ a bank! Terrible experience. I would never recommend this place. My boyfriend and I have been shopping around for a BMW X6. Last night, we found one online which this dealership offered. My boyfriend called, made an appointment, confirmed the car was still available and ensured we had a ball park number to work with. We both took a half day from work (we live in CT) to take our time going to the bank to get a check (was paying cash) and ensured our insurance company knew we were likely buying a new car today. well, we show up to the dealership with a certified bank check in hand mind you--with this dealerships name on it. When asked about the car and our appointment, they looked clueless and suddenly had no clue what we were talking about. No one even knew about it even when we showed them the photos from their own website loaded last night. Thankfully a moron in the corner said it was sold, so at least we knew we weren't crazy. long story short, they showed us another X6 roughly about $12K more, and a V8 engine which is not the car we wanted. We made it clear how much money we wanted to pay and even said we understand if it's not enough given the car we came to see wasn't even there. well (i believe his name was Juan), said 'fine!'...wouldnt shake our hands or anything and just walked away. No one in the dealership even said thank you or bye to us when we walked out. This place seems shady and I would not trust my cash in their hands. I was treated in a professional way from the minute I walked in the door. The environment is very friendly. I was assisted by Freddy who helped me through the entire process, he has the patience and the knowledge to help me out, since I arrived without any particular preference regarding a car maker or model just looking for a sedan or a compact SUV. Once Freddy showed me the inventory I was blown away. After looking at many of the cars and SUV he just saved the best in my case for last a 2008 INFINITI EX35/JOURNEY AWD in which I felt in love with. They worked a trade in for me that allowed me to buy a Pre-owned 2008 vehicle. I'm very happy with the decision I made, I think my smile is noticeable each time I'm driving my new car. Joke of a dealership. Went to look at a Acura TL type s there . The car was pretty much a polished turd . Suspension problem was noticed by me from uneven tire wear on all four tires . The car did not feel solid at all . Motor did not sound healthy and noticed blue hue from exhaust note indicating oil burning . I also noticed that the exhaust tips were thoroughly cleaned to most likely hide oil blow by. Most likely an abused auction car that was driven hard for most of its life . I along with my friend were not impressed with the staff or service . This dealership and the other reviews which we read before going reminded me of why I never buy from used car lots . Always go certified pre owned from the big dealerships. I can only imagine the ridiculous run arounds and lies and most likely incompetent mechanics that do the work behind their lifetime warranty . EMG is the worst Dealership that I have ever dealt with. I wouldn't recommend them to anyone. I traveled two hours to purchase an Audi from them in October, and dealt with Franco (the most incompetent car salesman on the planet) and Lenin (the shadiest sales manager). Let me tell you about these guys, we finalized a deal and they tried to sneak in an extra 2500 dollars (SHADY!) and then tried to lie about it right to my face when I brought it to their attention. In addition, to that they failed to fix bumper sag and a minor paint correction which we agreed upon at sale and is also included in my paper work. In addition, to that when I went in to there location to get the repairs, that they were suppose to performed on my Audi there service Manager Ron did nothing but pull a car into a Tent for 4 hours and pulled it out and said "he couldn't do the repairs", My salesman Franco told me he would make it right and I haven't heard one word from him in over 2 months. But wait theres more! EMG failed to pay off the car that I traded in when i purchased the Audi within the standard 10 day period (it took them 33 days and countless follow up phone calls). But wait there is even more while I was there to get my vehicles service I observed a bait and switch and the gentlemens' salesman, Jonathan cursing up a storm and quitting on the spot because he was tired of all the bullshit that goes on at this place. Worst experience ever. Lied to from the very beginning starting with the first call from Jervon in the Internet department. We live 1 1/2 hrs away and made two trips to only leave without the truck. Our salesman Junior was absolutely wonderful to work with. He was courteous and hilarious and made us feel important when we were there. He tried his hardest to help us with a deal but his awful managers made that impossible. First of all, car wasn't ready when we first came to see it- meaning that it hadn't gone through their reconditioning process. We get told "oh hey btw after you just drove over an hour you can't take the car today because it has an oil leak" low and behold it didn't have an oil leak it had a fuel leak. They said ok we found the issue and ordered the part. Here's where it gets fishy. They claim the part they got was wrong and so they then felt it was necessary to send the truck to an actual Toyota service center. Red flag duh! They obviously found something wrong with the truck. We got the text truck was fixed and were promised to be shown service R.O's. that didn't happen. We also found the truck on craigslist. Their add stated every car comes with a 1 year warranty. When we were about to enter the financing room they told us no to the warranty. Red flag #2. Why aren't you standing behind your ad? Does the truck have something that wrong with it that you can't guarantee that a 2011 Toyota with 53k miles won't last us a year without blowing up? Seriously? So all in all, junior was great the two managers there that night were the worst managers I have ever met in any type of establishment. We will NEVER go here again. read more

On Monday 8/21/17 I found exactly what I was looking for at EMG Auto. Unfortunately, it was out of State. I'm in Upstate NY, they're in NJ. As you can imagine, I was ecstatic, and didn't mind the 5 hour drive there and back to purchase the vehicle of my dreams! I put an offer in that day. However, it wan't accepted in writing until 2 days later, 8/23/17. At which time I was contacted by the dealership to tell me they'd email me a signed bill of sale to take to the bank, and to add this vehicle to my insurance policy, and have them email the binder and cards to them. All of which I did. We spoke everyday that week, and I made plans to drive down first thing Saturday morning 8/26/17. As I was driving to NJ I called the dealership one more time, just to let them know I was on my way, and to make sure the car was prepped and ready to go, as I'd be on a 5 hr drive to return back home. They reassured me all was well, and they were waiting for me! When I arrived the salesman I had been dealing with all week told me to wait in his office, that his manager needed to speak with me. ( I knew right then something was wrong) After roughly 15 mins of waiting I walked up to the "Sales Manager" (who never once even stood up from behind his desk) he notified me at that time that the car was sold last night!!! So Fri 8/25/17, the evening before I arrived, They sold the car that I had a signed bill of sale for, that was already on my insurance policy, that I had called to verify was ready for pick up!!!! I was devastated! They told me they could sell me something else! that's all. NO sorry, No tee shirt, No cookie, NO compensation for the fuel, tolls, 10.5 hours of wasted travel time. NOTHING! I have filed complaints with both Better Business Bureau, and The Federal Trade Commission. As a business owner myself, I would've personally contacted this customer and tried to contact every dealership around to make it right. NOPE! Haven't heard a thing. "G37 SPORT Experience" - Cardio175 I was very skeptical in walking into this dealership. Their Showroom had a few nice cars, an M3, a Skyline and a Nismo 370. I thought it was an interesting mix of cars and asked myself, what clientele are they use to. I'm in my mid 40's looking for a stick shift convertible but not a BMW! Al, my sales rep said, you should see what I have, and all they had were BMW's at that time. However, he got my attention when he showed me that a G37 Sport, Manual, convertible that was coming from the auction and will be in their possession in about a week. To make a long story short, Juan and Henry had to step in to help satisfy my purchase. After three days of driving the car, the clutch had blown. They were all very sorry that it happened and to make up for it, they replaced the clutch, four new rotors and replaced a missing spare key, with an awesome detail cleaning on the car. I didn't expect them to go above and beyond what was necessary, they have completely exceeded my expectations. This guy really told me to put a thousand dollars down before I can test drive the car. Followed by, no attempt to negotiate unless I deposit money that day. Not a loss at all, place had a horrible rating I was already expecting to go in there and have them sit there reading their fairy tale prices to me. This has bee the worst car shopping experience I have ever had. I went in here the day before Mothers day this year and purchased a LEMON!!!!! well of course the sale guy Freddy and just about every sales man in there was so sweet shoot they where even asking me out on dates. So less than six months later my beautiful looking truck doest start, rear suspension gone and the engine light is on. When I take it back and try to get it fixed the where acting as if I stolen the truck off there lot. The worst customer service I have ever experienced. The managers Juan & Henry or as i call the Frick & Frack had the audacity to tell me that if i didn't like what they where telling me or there service to come get my truck and take it elsewhere. Now I'm stuck paying for a truck that doesn't work. So wish I would've researched them prior to my purchase. read more

We traded in a car and purchased another car 3 weeks ago. Earlier this week I was charged an automatic payment for the car loan of the car I traded in and no longer own. The dealership hadn't contacted my previous loan holder or paid of the loan on the car they've own for 3 weeks. The title clerk told me they won't pay off my previous car loan until I make my next payment on my newly purchased car. She also told me they just this week registered my car (so I've been driving around an unregistered car?!?). She claimed they couldn't pay off my old car loan and register my new car on the same day?!? This is the 3rd car I've bought and the first time I've ever heard that. Their practices seems shady at best. In addition to all this, it took 6 hours to complete our car purchase (because they were dragging their feet) and the one thing we asked for was a full tank of gas and they didn't even deliver on that. read more

From reading the other reviews I'm either really lucky or bought my car from the bizarro EMG because my experience was nothing like those described above. I visited the dealership for a test drive on a Monday, but was unhappy with the inventory. I was told by their sales guy Jose that they'd have new vehicles within a couple of days, specifically the Lexus model and year I was interested in, and that I should try back later in the week. I called Jose by week's end and bingo bango I was driving the perfect car, down to the GPS package I was looking for! I use a wheelchair so I needed to install special equipment in the vehicle before I could drive it out, and they were very accommodating in allowing me a few extra days to close on the deal. I found the staff to be friendly and very helpful and went out of their way to make us feel comfortable; again, I may have been a special case I guess because I had an extremely good experience and would recommend them 100%, keep up the good work! read more

I purchased an Acura the end of Feb 2015 Emg said the vehicle was never in an accident, and the vehicle was in great shape!!! Found out this was nothing but LIES!! The vehicle had been in a front & rear collision disabling the vehicle (so it was very badly hit) I brought the vehicle back 2 days later & they wouldn't take the vehicle back!!! Bad Business Never go to this dealership I didn't expect to pay premium price for a vehicle that was involved in a serious car accident I'll be seeing them in court!! read more

After writing my initial review on EMG, i was contacted by Wendy. She showed concern for my issues, and seemed like she wanted to help do the best that she could for me. I went in to meet with her, and she brought the general manager, Henry down to speak with me. Both Henry and Wendy were very pleasant to deal with. Henry apologized for the lack of care the other staff members showed me when speaking to them about my issues. I explained to him why I was upset, he took a look at my rims and decided to write me a check for the wheels to be refinished. He also assured me I would get an oil change free of charge. He gave me his card and told me to contact him in the future if I have a problem. Overall, they turned a bad experience into a good one. Only reason why I gave them 4 stars is because it took a bad review for them to show concern. I may consider coming back to EMG for a future purchase. Thanks again Wendy and Henry! read more

Well not even a month later and the engine in my car blew up out of nowhere. Over 3500 to fix! I don't no who to blame this sucks!
