The overall Ambience of this restaurant is family owned which is a good thing in my opinion. The staff was very friendly and the service was pretty fast and accurate. The overall cost was affordable. The food taste great. The only thing that grabbed my attention that wasn't a positive was the little bit of construction that was needed in the area in which the bathrooms were located. Seeing cables going into other rooms to Supply Power was a little concerning. The overall Vibes were Diner vibes which I think is quite Pleasant. The food was good, it's always a clean place to eat and the servers are nice. They just updated their menu and the prices definitely went up. They charged me $3.75 for a cup of coffee..which, isn't the best quality but whatever.. it's the watered down coffee that every dinner serves but the biggest frustration was they charged me $6 for a side of bacon that came with two little pieces of bacon! I got the steak skillet with potatoes and two eggs ($21).... So after tip, I paid $38 dollars for a skillet, side of bacon and coffee... Went there Sunday March 1st big mistake have been going there for years when we saw the "under new ownership" sign that said it all! Place was empty, we both ordered the smash burgers. Looked good but didn't taste good. Very greasy brioche bun was drenched in butter! fell apart. Apparently, there are no refills on coffee or soda we were never offered any and as I looked around no one else at all was being offered refills EITHER! Then they add a Convivence fee to your bill without telling you. As a business if you choose to take credit cards then YOU eat the cost! If you pay with a debit card, they take it off. I wonder how many people don't notice this. If the food, service and lower prices than I can justify it maybe. I was craving pancakes and I ordered the breakfast combo #1 and a Western Omelette. Ordering was easy online. We have eaten at as well as ordered online from Emily's in the past. Always had a good experience and my only complaint was the short hours , but that wasn't a complaint as much as it was a craving occasionally hitting and realizing that they were closed. I noticed that they had a pop up on website when ordering indicating they are hiring. We pulled into the lot to pick up our food and saw the under new ownership sign... "uh oh" says my husband. I order was set to be ready in two more minutes. He went in and came out 20 minutes later and made a comment that they're struggling. Cashier was digging through trash for a receipt, waitress came up to hostess and said stop sending people to this side, I am swamped... We get home and.... No pancakes My husband said his omelette was watery and disappointing. I was still staring at my pancake-less combo. The eggs were edible but I would not say good, but my tastebuds were trying to overcome my disappointment. I did not call to advise of the mistake, so I cannot say if they would have rectified the problem. Saturday was my birthday, and 2 of my daughters and my 2 youngest grandchildren went to Emiy's to celebrate as is our custom. I ordered a greek omelet as a treat for me. when it came ig looked more like crambled eggs than an omelet, but more importantly while I was eating it I wasn't getting the right taste!! There was some kind of meat, tomato's , a very small container on the side of sone kind of a white sauce....but not one piece of spinach anywhere to be found and there didn't seem to be much feta cheese, Before I finished we received a phone call that we were needed at home because my husband was having a medical problem. On my way out I told the waitress that I had not found 1 piece of spinach, and she told me that if I had ordered spinach they would have put it in. Came back today with my wife and two kids. Prices are insane and the portion sizes have shrunk. No kids menus were offered. My wife and I ordered the country fried steak. It is half the size than it had been previously, and the coating is different. Tasted like of of those frozen dinner country fried steaks. My daughter had a small glass of chocolate milk, and I mean a small juice sized glass that cost $4.50. No refills. My son had a single belgium waffle with some fruity on it, no sides, and it cost $16.50. What happened to the whipped butter? You now get little packets of butter, like I'm at McDonald's or something. Oh, and they bring out the syrup in plastic squeeze bottles which makes the the place look cheap. Anyway, total bill with tip was over $100 (I feel completely ripped off). This is what I would expect to pay for dinner, not breakfast. Superb pancake house. I had the Breakfast enchiladas with scrambled eggs substituted chorizo for the chicken along with peppers onions and ranchero sauce. It was covered with Monterey Jack cheese. For that we were underwhelmed with extra crispy, ie burnt bacon, unfluffy pancakes and generally food without a lot of flavor. Our waitress was very nice though. I would think if you have pancake house as part of your name you would have good pancakes. These were nothing special. My butchers omelette was just so so. I have been here before and I preferred the breakfast burrito so maybe it's best to skip the traditional breakfast items and ho for the specialty stuff. We did see some nice looking mini waffles but they were $6. That might not sound like a lot but they were small. You could buy a box of Eggos for less. I get that everything is more expensive with inflation and a lick of workers which is exactly why eating out should be special. This wasn't. I don't understand why one order of bacon was perfect and one was burnt. Where is the quality control? This was the first time we went out for breakfast in a long time, not including vacations or travel. We probably will wait a year before we try this again. I will say this. The toast was great. Was wary based on previous negative reviews, so I was surprised when we entered and saw gourmet specials on the board. The environment was jolly and we were seated near a large group enjoying themselves immensely. The menu held more gourmet options as well as basic favorites. One downside to the menu, the pretty lime green titles on the menu were distracting and so light that you could miss something if you didn't look hard enough. Had the French Toast combo. What an absolute JOKE of management there. JOKE..... Their website offers on line ordering. It is through Grubhub and it offers delivery and pick up. I placed an order on Friday for Saturday, received text and e-mail confirmations. The order was for my mom's 87th birthday. I got here early, the hostess checked on the order and said it was in progress. 15 minutes later the manager (could be owner) asked me if I had been helped, I explained my order. She told me they do not do on line orders, I showed it on her website and I showed my confirmations. Much arguing back and forth and she refused to accept she was WRONG. My family and I enjoy going to Emily's about once a month. The place is always busy but that a sign of a good restaurant in my eyes. The service is quick even when the place is packed. The atmosphere is always pleasant and welcoming (we have gone after all type of even and always been welcome I.e. early morning sport events, church, just waking up hungry). If you order a la carte your bill could get a little pricey for breakfast expensive, so I'd suggest looking at some of the combo and see if anything catches your eye.
