Nice views of the lake. Vita is great bartender. The others are lazy. I sat at the bar waiting for someone to get me a drink while the bartender ate pizza with her friends. She looked right at me. Then proceeded to eat more pizza. Not good!

Visited here on a Wednesday night. I was a bit worried prior to my visit after checking out the most recent reviews. Although we did have good service and the food was good. The best part about this spot is the location. This is located right on the lake and there is a nice outdoor patio, screened in and not screened in seating. We were seated right away when arriving and plenty of available seats both inside and out. The food was good, we went with pizza, a wrap, and nachos. I'd come back during the warm months for sure because of the nice patio situation!

The view of the lake is great, be sure to stock up on mosquito repellent though! I guess there was a reason why that we were the only ones outside during out visit. The interior of the building, it looks like one of those old school Chinese restaurants that had fish tanks everywhere and the bar seems like an old school dive. The taps reflect that too, with the majority of them from macro breweries with one or two local options. For dinner I got their stuffed baked potato, taco style. The potato was large and it was definitely a dinner sized portion but it was pretty bland. I basically was thankful for Tabasco that day.

It used to be a nice place. Not sure why now but the prices seem insane. Especially with the drinks.

I like their food here. It's consistently good and the patio dining is beautiful. I like taking friends here to hang out

We wanted an informal place with a place where we could talk, laugh, eat and drink without bothering other diners.

I was looking for a new place to try a good tavern-style crust at, with nicely browned cheese and…read morequality (not cooked and then frozen) toppings. My girlfriend wanted Chicago deep dish though... Antioch was the place on our list to try next whose menu claimed to be able to meet our desires. They sure did! Sauce wasn't too tangy or sweet, the sausage was not pre-cooked frozen crap, and both doughs were great! Another big thing to me, is how good pizza is cold the next day, and BOTH excelled in that category! It's a small place with limited indoor seating (6 - 8 booths) and uncovered outdoor seating that's shared with the rest of the businesses in that little nook of a strip mall. The employees were helpful, and in a great mood which is sobering I always feel is transferred into the final product of any restaurant! We didn't know, going in, that they had been honored at The Best Pizza Awards during a prestigious 2025 pizza industry conference in Milan, Italy! We both understand why now. I DEFINITELY recommend trying this place. With as many places I still have yet to try, I will make time to go back here!

Not that Ron and Pat was horrible or anything but Antioch pizza shop was super awesome. It even felt so old-school being able to order directly with the restaurant instead of going on Uber Eats or something like that. Anyway, got a 18 inch pizza that comes with a free 12 inch pie... Got so many toppings. It's kinda hard to name them all or remember since he was a pretty hazy night but everything was correct, crispy, and extra delicious. Antioch pizza definitely my favorite pizza joint in the area and I'm not exactly sure which location I went to, but I think it's the original location so thank you. I think I'm gonna order it again today.

If you're from Cali, you probably think you've had Chicago-style pizza because you've seen a…read moredeep-dish pie or two, right??? Yeah... I thought that too!!! Turns out, I was very wrong!! So wrong!! A REAL Chicago pizza is basically a full-blown cheese & toppings filled pie with a thick bottom crust, generous amount of cheese and the sauce piled on top like the grand finale. We stopped at Giordano's in Gurnee and ordered a 14-inch build-your-own w beef, mushrooms, and onions. "Large" apparently means "feeds a small village" because this thing was massive, easily enough for a family of 5!!! Every slice came with that dramatic, slow-motion cheese pulls that make everyone at the table stop talking and start taking pictures!!! The ingredients tasted fresh, the cheese was gloriously gooey, and each slice was hearty enough to qualify as a meal and a half. We also grabbed the mozzarella triangles and buffalo wings bc apparently self-control wasn't invited to dinner. The mozzarella triangles were crispy, cheesy little pockets of happiness, and the wings brought just the right amount of buffalo kick. Both were absolutely delicious and disappeared way faster than they should have. The service was fantastic too!! Drinks never stayed empty for long, and the staff was attentive throughout the meal. We walked out stuffed, happy, and officially educated on what REAL Chi-town pizza is supposed to be!! If you're visiting Chicago, Giordano's is absolutely a must!!!

I hadn't had Giordano's since 2009, and while the pizza still tastes largely the same, I remember…read moreit being better back then. That may just be my palate changing over the years, but I'm giving it a higher rating overall because the majority of my family enjoyed it, and for most of them, this was their first experience with Chicago deep-dish pizza. Pro tip: If you're planning to treat your sailor here after PIR, come as soon as possible after graduation. The restaurant quickly fills up with sailors and their families, which can lead to longer wait times and slower service - and time during Liberty is very limited.
