Met friends at Enchiladas Y Mas on Anderson Lane. This restaurant is definitely local with a neighborhood feel... looks like a previous home.. It has typical Tex Mex food...enchiladas, tamales and fajitas. Ironically we all got a different version on the Mexican plate - enchilada, rice and beans. I chose the chicken enchiladas with chili sauce....great taste and right about of food. Also, we received complimentary tortilla chips with two types of salsa. Amy, our server, was very attentive and was deftly managing multiple tables. Ice cold water served...check....meals delivered...check...checks distributed...check! The guests at Enchiladas Y Mas were diverse included families, friends, business people, and individuals. Laid back, take your time to enjoy your meal vibe...

You come here for incredible prices and strong margaritas. Super relaxed and busy Tex Mex food with zero frills. Their Spicy salsa is some of the best around. Street parking behind is the easiest option vs. their tight and crowded lot most times. $8 for 3 crispy beef tacos can't be beat.

I highly recommend the frozen margarita and the cheese enchiladas with beef sauce. Both were excellent!

Great food friendly staff and great Rita's. Service is great and place is an Austin original.

Always extremely busy drinks are probably the best thing on the menu. Pretty authentic dining arrangement. Cheese wasn't the greatest don't plan on coming back.

The food was delicious! The chicken enchiladas platter was delicious! Service was good. Emilio, I believe was our server and he was attentive. We will be back. Nice place that reminds me of a small restaurant in Mexico City

Came here with a friend for dinner and I really loved it here! Our server was so nice and gave us good recommendations when we ordered and our food came out quick! I ordered the carne guisada and it was so flavorful and tender. The refried beans are also super good here. My friend got the chicken enchiladas with the verde sauce and sour cream sauce which I tried and the flavor was alright but the chicken was super dry unfortunately. Overall I would definitely recommend this spot! Very Mexican diner kind of vibe and had plenty of seating.

The food is amazing. Our table ordered some margaritas and sangrias along with enchiladas and fajitas. The food was amazing I live in Missouri and I have never had a fajita that had such great flavors It was a bit of a wait but it went by quickly and was so worth it.

I was craving Mexican food so my partner picked this place. Pulling up, it didn't look very nice in the outside but to my surprise, there was a ton of business inside, so I expected there must've been good reason. The chips and salsa were pretty good, but the enchiladas were standard imo. I was a bit shocked that the rice and beans were extra and cost $3 so I didn't get them which was a mistake. The enchilada con queso was so salty but at least it came with a couple tortillas which I ate with the sauce. I'm giving it 3 stars because it's pretty standard and service was just ok and granted, I'm not a big enchiladas person.

We got to this place at almost 8pm on a Friday. It was packed and wait time was about 45 minutes. There is nothing fancy about it, pretty much the opposite, but it is just like your grandmas house when all the family comes for dinner. It's chaotic, loud, but you know the food will be amazing. I ordered the small queso and it was very good. The chips were crispy, salty and still warm. I had a large frozen margarita and that thing is dangerously good and very strong. For main, I had the beef enchilada that comes with refried beans and rice. The plate comes piping hot from the kitchen, so be careful, but it was amazing. It was well seasoned, not too greasy, and the portion was huge. I'll definitely be back.

Friendly and welcoming, and decent Tex Mex food served piping hot. We were recommended this spot by locals, and weren't disappointed. Queso dip was amazing!! Very busy on a Friday lunchtime.

I could have done without the cockroach walking across the ceiling. This restaurant sure could use an exterminator and a major make over.

First, the menu needs a rewrite for content and clarity. For example, buying fajitas doesn't list guacamole and based on size, single, for two and family you get more sides of rice or beans. There's no definition of how much actual meat you get and our server couldn't provide that information beyond a rough estimate. Second, the fajitas we got of family size and for two portions for 7 were not consistently cooked. We asked for medium rare and got about 25% at that with the ones in the center at a more well done. Again, the multiple tiny sides were more obnoxious than anything as it's legit beans and rice unless you want to upcharge. The cilantro lime rice tastes like nothing so skip that and go for abuelita rice which has a hint of flavor. Overall, the butter/gravy that go on the fajitas is the real winner but again a menu where you overbuy and misunderstand (that doesn't even list extras like guacamole or a simple small queso) was beyond frustrating. I would stick to them for one to possibly get a better cook.

She noticed I was ordering dairy items on side and asked about if pesto in guacamole was ok. So astute and kind of her. Also on my friends second drink remembered she didn't want salt or her rim without even asking - Everything tasted so fresh and high quality - Brisket tacos: packed with flavor--maybe it was the wagyu meat or the black magic oil. Freshly made corn tortillas were awesome. Usually corn ones and pretty throwaway meh, but these added to the greatness of the tacos. 5 stars - Duck flautas: crispy covered in mild mole. Loved the mashed potato addition inside for some mellowness and texture. 5 stars - Guacamole: so fresh and that dollop of pesto on top was lovely. Served with crispy masa dippers were impressive almost a 8x11 page size. It was fun to crack off into pieces, but hard to stop eating it. 5 stars - Sweet potato: friend loved these long charred wedges. 4.5 stars - Cocktails were stellar. I got the Don Dario which was a play on a marg and delightful - $12 of a few drinks during lucky hour (Mon-Fri 5-6pm, Sat-Sun 3-5pm) - High energy vibes in a clean, open, tan colored space - Had their bottle water on the table in a champagne bottle which speaks to my heart Midlights: - In East Austin so have to Uber if you are staying more central - Tacos come in orders of 4. Wish it was less so we could've tried more variety. Lowlights - No food discounts for lucky hour - Didn't have time to try the choco taco which looked amaze - Large gap of time between items first few items coming out and the rest

We did not feel rushed at all. Drinks: 4/5: I ordered the frozen margarita and it tasted pretty good. Not much different from other frozen margs Ive had. Drinks are a bit pricey here. Food: 4.5/5: You get chips and salsa for the table. The green salsa was tasty, but the red was missing flavor and spice. The Shrimp Ceviche was good, but I did expect more flavor/freshness out of the dish. The star of the show was the Chicken fajitas with cheese! The chicken was so juicy and the cheese was so delicious. Every bite I took of my taco was amazing. Probably the best fajitas Ive had in Austin. Cannot wait to eat them again. Overall a bit pricey, but would definitely recommend! Cant wait to be back.

I got them on corn tortillas and I'm glad I did: idk if they make them in house but somebody in some house is making these because they definitely aren't store bought, and if they are I want to know where! I tried the orange habanero and creamy serrano salsas. The habanero was spicy off the bat, while the serrano had more of a lingering burn. Both paired well with the steak. They have a little bar, too, though I did not imbibe this time. Seems like they have a decent selection of agave spirits, and even Campari behind the bar (iykyk).
