Our realtor recommended this company, and we should have vetted them more carefully. I had very specific written discussion with Amanda and a mold inspector, Tom, regarding this work. Tom explained in writing via email that first the ducts needed to be cleaned as a part of mold remediation, then we would replace our HVAC system with another vendor. We agreed, in writing via email, and he sent us to Amanda to schedule. I communicated very carefully regarding the timing, all in writing. Today, the day when the work is supposed to be done, they're telling me that cleaning the ducts was not part of their quote, they'll "get me on the schedule to have it done" "but we're not doing it for free" (I didn't ask for anything for free). Our HVAC is supposed to be installed on Monday (today is Friday). I would never use this company again. ETA: I have increased my rating because the company did clean the ductwork and did it at no additional charge, which is appreciated. The communication around scheduling hasn't been ideal. When one of their employees came to replace a sump pump (based on Tom's initial quote saying it needed replacement), the employee said it didn't need to be replaced so did not perform the work. Although we appreciated his candor, Amanda attempted to bill us for this full amount noting on the invoice that they replaced the sump pump on 8/21/25. Accidents happen, and James has worked really hard to resolve these issues, but this has been a frustrating exercise. read more

The worst company I had to deal with. Charged for remediation and reconstruction thousands of dollars. Five months later - mold in the same location and another flood. They came out cut out walls and baseboards and left it without any follow-up. On top of this they cut my Internet line, had to wait for another contractor come and fix it. read more

They have a great team that will get to the bottom of whatever problem you're having with your home. I had a major leak that had turned into a nightmare and Ensign Building Solutions got the issue taken care of and got all of the mold cleaned out of the walls and flooring. My wife and I can literally breathe a huge sigh of relief now that we're able to have clean air in our home again without the fear of mold spores filling our living spaces. I had such a difficult time working with this company after moving into my new home. I hired them for mold remediation. The team missed areas of mold in the wood framing in my basement, which their QA manager came out and fixed. Multiple members of their crew had to repaint a wall they repaired at least 4 times due to poor quality attempts. A team missed several vents in my home when performing duct cleaning, even after coming out a second time. The third time a new crew finally did the job right, however twice my furnace got turned off during the process and we lived without heat for 2 evenings in the colder months of March/April 2018. After all the trouble I was asked to pay the final bill in full. I urged consideration be made of all the extreme inconveniences I had during the process and they knocked 10% off the bill. I am thankful the job ended up getting done right, just regret that it caused me so much trouble. read more

Do not waste your time with the company. I took time off from work to meet with the estimator, Tom, at my new home I am renovating. Tom was to get the quote for the work to me in a week. Every contact I had with him was a promise to get the quote to me in a few days. I have yet to receive the quote. For the small job that I had, Ensign was quick, professional, and honest with every step of the process. The crew was able demo and treated the necessary areas in a couple hours time. Tom was also great in explaining what was going on and the best route to clean up the mold in the place that I was purchasing in.
