I have been a customer of Enterprise since 1978, and of this particular branch for at least 15 year, probably longer. What keeps me coming back to this rental location is consistently well above average service. There is never a mix-up with the reservations, the car or van is always available when promised, and the rates are, if not EXACTLY what I was quote, actually less than I originally was told. My paperwork is ready when I walk to the counter and the vehicle is usually pulled up to the door and running when I get there All the staff, especially Rebecca and Joe, are friendly and outgoing without crossing the line between "friendly" and "professional". I have NEVER been treated with anything less than courtesy respect and appreciation, and I assure you, I can be a difficult customer, especially in the matter of pricing. Enterprise obviously pick people that are mature despite their apparent age, and totally immersed in customer satisfaction. Lest one think that all is totally unicorns and butterflies, there was once a problem with a rented vehicle. As Thomas Edison once said, problems are opportunities in work clothes, and this Enterprise makes the most of them. The one time I had a van that would not start (key would not turn in the ignition) I called the location and within 35 minutes there was a person from the location at my side and they freed up the key and got me going. This is all the more positive since the driving time from the rental location to where I was stuck was at least 30 minutes :) Turns out that particular van was noted for this problem and there was no fault of maintenance on the part of Enterprise. Another time I returned a car after sliding nose first into a snow bank and damaging the splash shield under the front bumper. I was treated with the utmost courtesy, I was asked several times if I myself was OK and uninjured, and there was not the slightest problem with the return. The paperwork for the damage took only a few minutes, and when I got the bill from the body shop it was a few hundred dollars less than I had anticipated. read more

Yes, I called Customer Service the next day to suggest that they improve their reservation system to reflect actual availability! I also was curious to see if they would offer me something for my wasted time and $60 in Uber fees. They offered me 500 points in their loyalty program (no thanks!), and didn't seem interested in real world feedback. read more

Wouldn't use any other rental company. Always reliable, professional, reasonable. The only thing I noticed this time that was slightly unusual was that the rental vehicle was older than a typical rental With over 30,000 miles on it. read more

Worst customer service experience ever. Was accused of returning a car with a ding, which they called significant damage. Turns out the location where I had picked up the car documented the damage. This branch still tried to pursue a claim against me and called employees of the other branch liars, even though I have a screen shot of the damage notation in the record. This office is staffed with immature, rude and disrespectful stage. Maybe they're nice when everything is fine, but good luck with them if they think you damaged a car. Great place! Moved to the area and used this location for the first time. Usually use CT locations. This one is a little bit faster and the cars are a little dirtier. Lol. But I guess it's the contact with the employees that matter the most. 5 stars for customer service and friendly staff. The lot is packed. read more

Worst experience ever. Was trying to surprise my mom, who had just turned 80, with a trip up north in a big comfortable car. I reserved a "Premium" car several days before, and someone from Enterprise called me the day before to confirm the reservation. I told them I would be there the next morning. When I arrived, they told me they had no premium cars, only a Hyundai Accent, and possibly a Nissan Altima (which was nowhere to be seen), a tiny Buick SUV, and a pair of huge SUV's. Why would a rental company let me reserve a Premium car, and then confirm it the day before, if they had no premium cars to offer? Really infuriating. I will never do business with this company again. If there was a rating for zero stars, I would definitely choose it. Stay away! This is for the Clifton Park, NY location. read more

Not a great or even good experience when interacting with employees. Representatives showed up late even after I stressed the importance of being on time so I could get to work at a reasonable time. Both arrived looking disheveled, one wearing gym shorts and a tank top. The car was in great condition, worked very well for the time that I had it and was probably the only good thing about the experience. However, after turning it in, my emergency contact was called to confirm billing and payment information, which is obviously not ideal and not something my emergency contact should be able to approve. I do not rent cars often but will try my best to avoid using this enterprise in the future. read more

I'm in town visiting family and we decided last-minute that renting another car would be easiest on everyone. Online reservation was fast and easy, and we ended up getting a great rate from their website. The three guys in the office were not only fast and professional in getting us into our vehicle, but friendly and personable the entire time we were there. They made small talk which didn't feel like they were just trying to upgrade and up-sell us, and answered every one of our questions to a T. Highly recommend using this location if you're in the area. read more

This is negative review for the entire Enterprise company, not this particular location. DO NOT TRUST the Enterprise reservations system. They bait and switch all the time. They will tell you a franchise location has the vehicle you want and you therefore make the reservation. When you go to pick it up, it is we are so sorry, but you can have this vehicle we have here instead, or go some place else. Of course you have no time to do that, so you take it. That is what happened to me, only I was driving across country and I really needed a large SUV to transport some delicate electronics back from the Midwest. I was told I could check other locations across the country on the way there and swap out the vehicle. So I took the small car they had available to start my trip. What burns me the most is that I called the Enterprise Customer Service desk and you would think they would help me find a replacement since it was Enterprises fault I didn't get what I reserved and needed, but no, it fell on me to call every location across the damn country to find a replacement. Same went for every franchise location I called. They all would take my name and phone number promising me they would call when something came available. They never did. They recommend I check another local location which I would have to call, not them. After hours of calling locations across the Midwest I was able to locate one in Des Moines, Iowa. I know other car rental companies have their issues as well, but at least they had the decency to tell me they didn't have what I needed available, unlike the bait and switch Enterprise tactics. The Enterprise company got my money this time, and I am a frequent traveler for work, but they will never get another penny from me. Customer service is more than telling someone what they want to hear just so you can make a buck. It is about actually helping the customer. Stay away from Enterprise car rentals!! read more

Our daughter was getting married and we were looking for a 12-15 passenger van for the wedding party and enterprise's web site stated that the Clifton Park location was the only local area that had this vehicle. But when we went there we were told that Enterprise did not rent that type of vehicle in NYS. This was upsetting to us. BUT here is the reason for the top rating. The gentleman at the office told us about the big GMC/YUCON/Suburban that were 8 passenger vehicles. They gave us a great price and we rented two for the wedding. The two vehicles cost less than renting a limo for 3 hours and we had them for 24. The staff were great! And they called us the next business day to see how we like the vehicles and asked if we had any problems. Very nice staff and great customer service and follow up! Will recommend and will use again! read more

Terrible customer service. Reserved a sedan and when I arrived was told that I would have to take a Minivan as they did not have the sedan that I reserved in advance???? When I explained that I really needed the sedan I reserved at their location - I was told that I could drive to the airport location to see if they had a sedan. I asked if they could check the airport location prior to my driving down there and, of course, the airport location did not have a sedan available. So I was told there was nothing they could do... they would refund my money and I could try another company... The person behind the counter then got mad at ME for being very shaken-up because I didn't have the rental car that I desperately needed and told me that she did understand why I was upset when she trying to help me and that I was "hurting her feelings" - Really!!!. I eventually did get a sedan that smelled terrible and had a car floor carpet that worn through... also needed to be serviced ... Why take a reservation if you have no intention of holding the reservation. Try any location but this one. read more

Hope you enjoy my 400 dollars I didn't need to spend on " extra coverage" when I had my own collision insurance. Poor communication and policies. Rebecca the store manager helped me a lot, but as far as the company as a whole; I'm very disappointed and frustrated that my concerns were deemed "personal". Estimated payment on the reservation confirmation was very deceiving. After my son picked up the car, the fee essentially doubled. He was told to "read the fine print". Location was perfect,but the final fees surprised us. read more

I always receive excellent customer service at my location in Clifton Park, NY, and have on occasion been given a free upgrade. They also call back to check to make sure I had a good experience and go over the final fees. Very impressed compared with others I have worked with. read more

Staff was very friendly and helpful. Price was reasonable. Rented a minivan that had the seats fold down into the floor, however one seat would not fold down. Several employees tried to get it down but it would not fold down. 2 keys were cabled together which made for a very bulky way to carry the keys around. Was advised it was like this incase of vehicle being sold out of state or on a one way trip. I think there could be a better way of attaching these in that case because if I had actually locked the keys in the vehicle then both keys would have been locked in the vehicle. read more
