When I picked it up, the initial inspection was rushed and not detailed at all. The young man who checked the car didn't mention anything specific, nor did he go over any existing issues. As soon as I got home, I took pictures of all parts of the car just to be safe. When I returned the car -- clean and with the gas filled as requested -- a different employee came out with a camera to check for ice damage, claiming that there might be some because of the route I had taken. She told me I would get my deposit back and that everything seemed fine. Now, days later, my insurance company is calling me saying I owe $4,000 for supposed ice damage -- even though it never even rained during my trip. I'm extremely upset. This company is not serious or trustworthy. They contacted my insurance directly without ever reaching out to me first. I absolutely do not recommend this location -- Enterprise at the Fort Worth Airport. Terrible service and unacceptable treatment of customers

His professionalism, patience, kindness, and understanding made the process smooth and enjoyable. His customer service was truly exceptional! I was also privileged to meet the handsome CEO, Chandler Hunt, who serves in the National Guard and leads his company with respect and honor for veterans. I asked if they had any agreements in place with local rental companies for when these events occur since their closest sister company was so far away and he said "No, on account of that I work for Hertz." Unhelpful, sassy, rude, and a waste of everyone's time. Now I have 5 hours to rent elsewhere and just accept whatever price is available. They said at the weekly rate it would come under $65/day with taxes. Had it 33 days. They charged me $75.99/day, plus taxes. I also added the $29.99/day insurance for only 3 days because we took a trip. I came back after 3 days and signed a tablet that I was removing insurance. On final bill, I was charged for 29 days of insurance, as he never took it off. Branch manager says there's nothing he can do. I call customer service 6 times now, and they say a regional or district manager will contact me. They never do. I went back to the branch. Manager not there today. Customer service says they cannot do anything. Someone will respond to this message about how sorry they are and refer me back to customer service.

The employees at the DFW location were great, but now I'll likely end up having to fight the charges on my credit card because there's probably less than a 0% chance I'll find someone that's actually an AVIS employee to speak to about this. Because I needed to be somewhere shortly after my scheduled pick up time, I didn't have time to pick up a vehicle anywhere else. I called the 800 number after my meeting and they were useless. They told me that because I cancelled after my pick up time, I wouldn't be getting money back. I, not so politely, informed them that I didn't cancel the reservation and that I was pissed because it was cancelled by the agent at the rental place and I still needed a vehicle for the week. They escalated it to claims or something and said I should get my money back in 7-14 business days. I don't understand how the website could let you prepay for something that isn't available. Save yourself the headache and rent elsewhere.
