The worst enterprise location I have ever rented a car from. My vehicle is down and my insurance company is covering a rental for a month. So I made an appt for the morning got there and they told me that they didn't have a vehicle ready for me until the afternoon. I ubered there! So I told them can I please just have something doesn't have to be luxury car. They gave me a broken equinox. The drive terrain is all messed up car vibrating and unsafe. Called immediately after leaving. They told me they didn't have availability for me to swap out until Friday... today. I get there on my appt time. SHOCKER THEY HAVE NO VEHICLES FOR ME! I work and am at the mercy of having to commute they asked me to come back in the afternoon they MIGHT have something! Absolutely not giving me a broken car! UNSAFE CAR! Tonight took the cake. I used my Enterprise+ membership to reserve and pay for me wife's rental car when she flew into Philadelphia but got nothing but a horrible service on the website as well as calling customer service. They told me I couldn't use my membership for my wife to take advantage of the Enterprise Plus. That's absolutely ridiculous and said it's all for safety. That's a bunch of BS. These ppl do not ever, ever, EVER answer the ftiggin phone!! They are nice enough and mostly helpful when you get there but you have to drive there to get anyone to talk to you. The phone volume is turned low and they simply ignore it so it is left ringing and ringing. In response to my question about why they don't answer the phone, I was told by an employer there that they were "trying to get away from that". Like most businesses, I guess, the insatiable quest for ever higher corporate profits comes with a decline in customer service, and apparently that means they don't talk to customers unless you walk in. The other (south) McKinney location actually answers the phone and TALKS to customers, and they are very responsive to customers. Their service is so much better than this location and that's why I usually go there. They did not have a car this time so I went to the north location. I won't go here again. If the south one is not able to accommodate me in the future I'll go to Hertz instead. They answer the phone there too. read more

Had to rent a vehicle from them due to somebody smacking mine and it being in the body shop. Those boys don't beat around the bush and handle business to get you in and out as fast as possible. We had a terrible experience renting a car and will not be ever renting a car from enterprise again. Budget treated us much better a week ago and we wish we used them again. We had rented a mini van for our family of 6, all with large suit cases for a week long trip we were taking. Enterprise instead gave us a smaller vehicle even though we held it weeks in advance. This vehicle barely fit all of us and called for us sitting on suitcases on the way home. We rented it July 3 at 10am and were told we could return it to our destination the next day at 10am. After checking online, we then learned all locations are closed on July 4 and the closest one that is open is located an hour from us. Which means we have to drive all the way there with the rental vehicle, our vehicle, and pay more money on gas, tolls, and mileage on our car. The worst part is that we have to waste time on our last day with all of our kids in town which only happens once every few years. After a long call, they said they would give us points that would only cover a third of a day of a rental. Sad. Make this right, Enterprise. read more

When I walked in it was crowded AF, but I waited maybe 15 minutes and they got me a decent (not great) car. A woman named Shelby saw me struggling with blu tooth stuff in the car and helped me get my tunes right...She even sang a song with me (pretty good voice) and... we reenacted the iconic Thelma & Louise scene. Arrived to return a car, no staff up front. One staff member was sitting behind the front desk area and never greeted me or asked if I needed anything. While waiting the other staff asked can he help once finished with a customer. As he started to help me the one guy comes from behind to help a man who just walked in. I feel like this place is racist and didn't want to help me due to my race. It was obvious once he was willing to come from behind the desk to help a man who just walked in. I also couldn't get a ride to Mercedes to pick up my vehicle. I ended up calling the dealership and having them come pick me up. I would not recommend this place and I work in insurance. avoid these con artists at all costs. My son got into an accident. The other drivers fault. The other drivers insurance provided rental car through these rip offs. My son tries to do things on his own. He is 24 and tries to do whats right. Hes as student with a part time job and cannot afford to pay for something out of his control. Come to find out, these con artists told my son they only had an SUV and would need to charge him additional $ since they didnt have a smaller car. I rent cars all the time. If they are out of a certain size, they give you what they have for the price originally agreed to. I wlll be contacting better business and the texas license board to complain. The second one was worse than the first car, I could hardly see out the windshield with the sun shining because the windows were filthy inside and out. Unable to rent a car because I don't have the right documentation to use a debit card and wouldn't rent one to my husband because he is not the primary driver. (Of course not because he is blind and requires a driver). How many places require proof of address on multiple documents to use a debit card? Is documentation really necessary when the blind man is standing right in front of you? We will be renting or borrowing a car elsewhere. I wanted to express an experience my wife had with Tanner Boser at the location of 380 and Hwy 75 in McKinney Tx this morning, We had a rental from Enterprise though an insurance claim for about a week and a few days now. There was an issue with the tire in the rental truck. It started losing air daily. I put air in the tire to the specs on the door a few times but it never seemed to hold air properly. We called the Enterprise where we picked up the vehicle and explained the issue. We ask if we could take the vehicle to the closest enterprise as we felt it was unsafe to drive all the way to Lewisville where we picked it up from. We explained the tire pressure was supposed to be 40PSI per the door specs and it was reading on the gage at only 25PSI. The manager there was super friendly and stated it would not be a problem. My wife filled the truck up with gas and drove to the location which was just down the road from us. She met with Tanner Boser and explained the situation. Tanner inspected the vehicle and ask my wife if they had written down the damages to the truck. She stated they had done an inspection prior to the rental and found damages around the vehicle but they were written down on the sheet. Tanner stated there was hail damage to the top of the vehicle and was not on accounted for. My wife had explained that we only had the truck for a week and that it has not hailed in our area in months. Tanner told my wife he would except the truck but because of the hail damage he was going to have to charge her for the hail repairs, since it was not on the damage list. He told her she would have to take it back to where she rented it from or incur the charges. My issue is not process but principle. Common sense would dictate we did not cause hail damage to the truck. One, I can't make it hail, that is an act of God. Tanner did not use reasonable judgement to do the right thing. I would assume he didn't want to receive the truck as he would then have to take responsibility for it. Maybe this is extra work on Tanners part, I don't know. I don't feel like we should have driven the truck at all but since it was stated to drive the truck to the nearest location I would think that was an acceptable risk on both us and Enterprise. It was only a few miles. However, to then make my wife drive across town knowing there is an issue which I would consider is a safety concern because of a paper work issue is unacceptable. At minimum I would have thought he would have offered to add more air to the tire before sending her on her way. If this was Tanner's family member or yours would you have done the same? What if there was a flat on the way there, or a blow out? What if my wife was in an accident and got hurt? None of these things seemed be a consideration for Tanner, other than what is he going to have to deal with if this vehicle was accepted at his location. I am doubtful this message will be read or even addressed, my hope is that it will be taken into consideration for accountability. Not to end on a bad note, There are some really good people that actually care about their customers at Enterprise. The manager at the Lewisville location was super amazing. He did apologize for the inconvenience, he offered a free tank of gas. I declined the free tank of gas but it was a nice gesture. I am not looking for compensation but accountability for ones actions. He went a looked at the truck, and stated there was hail damage to the roof of the truck. He counted three small dings. read more

They say non-refundable is clearly stated on Expedia app. It is not. If this is how they make money this organization won't be in business for long but apparently it works because they rip off people every day and they have the process of disputing your claim down to a science. The customer service when we have had issues has been top notch and they are always accommodating and kind. I've never had a bad experience here, and I love that the staff is always so well-dressed and friendly. The cars are also always CLEAN which is nice. Be aware as my normal locations in Allen have been consolidated to this location due to COVOID. Normally all I have to do is present drivers license and debit card. Insurance is a given as its on file. Contacted ahead as time sensitive and informed now I'll have to show a bill with address on it as well since using debit. I'm still at work, don't have a bill on me nor can I pull it up on my phone. I rent vehicles almost weekly for business purpose prior to COVOID. Do not rent from Enterprise in McKinney. It's worth driving to one of their Plano or Dallas locations. We had a very bad experience and they are not on par with the other Enterprise locations that I have rented from for 2 decades in the past. I am a long time member and my Member # is 3XCPT64. Our initial request for the type of car that we wanted was ignored. Despite repeated calls to their dealership we were not able to exchange the car until we drove up and waited at their location. We were alternately told they were too busy or had too small a selection. The car that we we rented would not start in our driveway the day that we planned to return it. When we asked them to come and check the FOB or battery we were told they were to busy and that we would have to pay for roadside assistance. Do not rent from this dealership. They do not value service and do not represent what Enterprise has always shown us in the past. read more

I am happy with service provided at that location. My insurance company made reservation for me and I was picked up by the Enterprise driver from nearby Service King location just before they were closing. Rental office stayed open for some time after 6:00 pm to get me a rental. Paperwork was done quickly I was surprised to see nice and clean Jeep Grand Cherokee waiting for me. When my car was fixed, I left my rental at the Service King and they arrange pickup of the vehicle right away. Few days later I received thank you call. read more

They have cars available as long as it's not for an insurance claim. If it's for a claim, then you will need to wait 2 weeks for a car. My daughter was in an accident that wasn't her fault resulting in her car being a total loss. The insurance company approved a car and let us know that we could pick one up at our local office. At this time, we have NO CAR and no way to get to work or school. I called to confirm the rental and was told there is a 2 week wait for cars. However, if I go to book online, they have plenty of cars to rent. Just those aren't available for insurance claims because insurance doesn't pay enough to the rental company. They hold those cars for people who will pay more or business rentals. I was told it would be 10 days to 2 weeks before they would have a car available for an insurance claim. I would need to call all the Enterprise locations in the area to find one that can do a rental. I've called 5 places so far and SURPRISE none of them have any available. The person at the local office told me that if I reserved a car on line they would call me and tell there aren't any cars available and cancel my reservation. They are also not able to look at any other locations for availability I would need to do that on my own. She told me "It's like an airline we overbook all the time" Ummmm.... when an airline over books they find you a seat on another flight,or offer you compensation for the overbooking same with a hotel. They accept reservations online and then not honor them. Maybe this girl needs to check up on how the airlines actually work before she used this analogy. Overall, pretty bad customer service. I find it very hard to believe that with the technology available Enterprise in unable to look across their network and see what is available at each location. If so then they need to invest in some better technology. read more

An extremely engaged manager standing by to help, very professional reservation help, and the gentleman helping us with the car emanated service! I completely admit I was a difficult customer today who needed a rental ASAP, changed my reservation type after the transaction had already been placed, and then really needed the tank filled so we could get on our road trip without any further delay.
