Absolutely unacceptable. Our church has rented from this Enterprise location many times, including for multiple youth trips. For our most recent trip, we reserved a 15-passenger van months in advance. The manager even called beforehand to confirm the reservation. When we arrived, there was no van--and no plan to provide one. Our entire day had to be reorganized at the last minute, scrambling to find parents to transport our youth group to its service projects. Later that same week, Enterprise failed to honor a second reservation. Two vans were sitting on the lot, but the manager told us they were being given to another customer because they "rented more often." Once again, we were forced to scramble to keep the trip from falling apart. Unfortunately, this wasn't an isolated incident. Vehicle returns routinely aren't checked in unless you insist they do it while you wait. On one occasion, it took nearly two weeks--and intervention from Enterprise corporate--to get our deposit refunded. We filed two complaints with corporate and were promised a "rapid and satisfactory resolution." Nothing happened. This location used to be well managed. Today, it is unreliable, unprofessional, and impossible to trust. Reservations are meaningless, commitments are not honored, and customer service disappears when there is a problem. We will never rent from this location again, and we've encouraged our church community to do the same. After sharing our experience, several members told us they had experienced similar problems. read more

We were spending the day in Savannah before heading up to Hilton Head for the weekend. Because of the incredibly late flight that we had the night before, it wasn't possible to pick up the car at the airport. Thankfully I found this Enterprise, because we were able to pick up the car after exploring the city. They were super nice and helpful here. Our car was ready for us when we arrived for pick up and there were no issues with the car. I would not hesitate to pick up a car here at this location if we're in Savannah again. read more

Been renting from Enterprises for years and while it's never amazing, it's usually not like this. Fat blonde chick, Charlee (the assistant manager), is a terror. Literally the epitome of poor customer service & having a power trip due to a title. Was rude to me for no reason, after leaving me on a 10 minute hold, and threatened to withhold my rental because she said *I* was rude to *her.* I was on the way to pick up my dead mother's remains so I had enough on my mind, I was not there to be rude to a random chick with a power trip who was feeling some kind of way due to her own poor customer service skills. I just wanted the car, period. Manager Payton later recovered the situation and provided excellent customer service. And while I'm thankful, trying to communicate with this or any Enterprise branch on the phone is next to impossible, and this company on the whole really needs to do something. Consistently leaving people on 10-20 minute holds, some of them just being disconnected after a 10 minute wait, is no way to do business. I think the folks working in your branches are trying but your system is frustrating and impossible. If you up your standards and customer service, you wouldn't have to give away rental days as an apology. Seems smarter to do it right the first time. I'd give Payton 5 stars, but everything else about this is an absolute 0. I think 3 stars overall is generous. read more

I set up a rental car a week in advance, and I get a courtesy text last night to check in, (which I did) and I just get a call 3 hours before I am supposed to pick up the car a leave town to let me know they have No cars available. My wife and I flew into Savannah for a couple days before a family reunion in Hilton Head. Upon checking our airport rental made through Priceline, we discovered it was missing. We had a day to figure it out and walked over to this Enterprise location. The two women said they didn't have anything for that Saturday but did have something after a cancellation for that afternoon. We came back half an hour later and they set us up with smiles. Shirlysia gave me her card for any issues. There weren't any. She was great upon return. We took an Uber to the airport so everything worked out and their rate was less expensive than our original airport quote. We'd definitely use them again. read more

The location is on the edge of town, therefore its a decent walk from most hotels, but hey at least there is a rent-a-car in town. When we came to pick up and drop off our car, the place had a few customers before us, therefore there was a bit of a wait, but it just means they have business, so good for them! Four stars because just like most car rentals place, this place is closed on Sunday's, which messed up our plans a bit, but all well. Our car was great, along with the price. I have been a loyal customer for years. I am taking my daughter for a College Campus Tour in Savannah, GA and Auburn AL. We were to fly out and pick up the car on 3/15/21. I live in Denver. Of course a snow storm came through. I now fly next day, 3/16/21 to GA. Because of Spring Break the whole state of GA rental agencies are sold out. I have my reservation but Enterprise "WILL NOT" help me with moving the reservation to 3/16/21. I told the many reps I talked with that I would pay for today if I could pick up the car tomorrow. NOPE! They told me that I wold have to cancel my reservation and rebook, but since they are sold out, I would lose the car. March 1 - Marketta - Escalations Support - Happy to assist me - nothing has happened. March 12th - responded and asked for Phone Number - gave me location phone number - they were no help first three times I called. - forwarded to regional Management Team - allow some time to reach out. March 12th - Alison - Regional office should be in touch with you soon - Nothing to date. March 13th - Responded and asked how long is soon? March13th - Allison - a few business days - appreciate patience. Today - April 6th - 17 Business Days - I believe that 17 Business Days since last email is enough to hear from Regional Offices. Not too happy with this company right now. Called 2 days ago to reserve a car and schedule a pickup at my hotel. Nobody shows up, so after 15 minutes I call and they didn't have a record that I needed a pick-up. So they send someone to pick me up. I get to the office and they are short on cars. So now I have to wait longer for a car to be returned or come from another location. Everyone is very friendly and apologetic, but something is not right with the management or process. The manager really tried to make things right and I give him credit for that. Everyone was super friendly, but I still lost an hour and a half of my day due to mistakes...and there were 3 others is the office waiting on cars that were pretty upset too. read more

Please note that 1 star is a NEGATIVE 5 Star rating. This location is pitiful. Groups of people waiting endlessly for nonexistent cars. And, when I say waiting we're talking 2 hours plus, despite reconfirming the reservation at least 4 times . Picked up from the collision shop they still did not tell me there was no cars available and that there would be a 2 hour wait! On top of this the "manager " , Joe Ervin ||| was rude and unprofessional and And perhaps worse. He was most insincere and as a representative of Enterprise he had no interest in customer service or basic courtesy, nor did he care about all of the frustrated customers walking out. He stated there were no returns scheduled for today and 15 minutes later there were 2 returns. If not for the area manager, Erik, conducting a training I would not have had a car. Finally, Chris , approached the waiting customers to offer water! And of course the blame for this was the recent hurricane yet Yelp reviews from months before reported the same problem. Erik was able to locate me car that Joe could not and then joe still tried to switch me to a truck that I already declined. My friend called in the morning and got quotes for various cars but when we arrived .. we learned all the cars were booked. After not only one but two screw ups on car rentals I've scheduled I've had it. Thanksgiving I went to reserve a car through them, received my confirmation showed up and was told that there was a mistake and they had no cars available for me. Then again today I scheduled yet another car rental through them to head home for Christmas just to arrive and have them tell me my credit card was "declined" and they don't take debit without proof of residency. I left irate just to check my credit card and find out that they CHARGED MY CARD. Of course they where already closed so now I'm set back a day of travel and time that should have been spent with my family. This branch needs new management and competent employees. read more

I don't understand how this Enterprise has such good reviews. My husband and I had a terrible experience renting a car here. First, they offered to pick us up, then we waited over 40 minutes from our scheduled pick up time. Once we got to the Enterprise location, they didn't have a car for us and said it would just be a few minutes until they got one from another location. We then waited another 45 minutes. I'm completely understanding of limited car availability at times at rental car locations, but what was most frustrating was that the branch manager, Molly, gave us nothing but excuses. As someone who has worked in the service industry for many years, I found her attitude and demeanor completely inappropriate and unacceptable. In my experience, a sincere apology with an effort to correct the issue would have gone a long way. read more

The selection of cars here is disappointing. It is a convenient location if you are staying in Downtown Savannah, but the Skidaway and Highway 80 locations have a much better inventory. Absolute worst customer service. They confirmed we had a car reserved. We walked 30 min to pick up the car since they had no pick up drivers avail. When we got there we were told there were no cars and that their reservations team are told to say cars are available and reserved until you show up. My girlfriend and I rented a car from Enterprise in Savannah, GA so we could take a drive up to Columbia, SC to visit our college friends. We picked up the car at their 500 Montgomery St. location in Savannah and started driving. Not even 15 minutes later, we were going about 60 miles an hour up highway 17 when the front driver's side tire blew clean off the car and rolled into the woods. Luckily, I was able to get the car off to the side of the road without any issues, and a tow truck driver happened to pass by a few minutes later and gave us a replacement tire so we could drive back and swap out the car (because Enterprise decided to put a compressor in the spare tire compartment rather than the tire itself - thanks Enterprise!). It's worth noting that when we initially rented the car, the clerk noted that the front driver's side tire had some "cosmetic damage", but it was safe to drive. And if anything were to happen, I bought the insurance (lesson #2 - don't buy the insurance). We got to their Savannah airport location and asked to speak with their manager, who was a real winner. When we explained the situation to him, he flatly denied any responsibility and claimed that "tires blow off like that all the time". I'm no mechanic, but something tells me that's a wildly inaccurate statement. Anyway, we finally managed to swap out the tricycle for a different car and went on our way. When we returned the new car at the Charlotte airport, they asked us how our trip was. We explained to them that it wasn't ideal, and they wiped the charges and apologized for the trouble. We were satisfied. At the time. One month later, I'm staring at a bill for $1,112.31 because Enterprise's totally non-biased Damage Recovery Review found that I'm responsible for the damages to their vehicle. So much for that insurance I paid for. So to summarize, Enterprise gave me an unsafe car that clearly hadn't been properly inspected prior to renting it out, resulting in me having to steer a 3 wheeled car off to the side of the highway going 60mph, and because of my newfound ability to will tires to explode, I'm on the hook for $1,112.31 (which they shouldn't hold their breath for, especially with air's apparent tendency to explode at this company). Worst customer service ever. Insurance company made reservations for me when I arrived the agent stated there were no cars available and I lived too far away to get a ride home. Agents had nasty attitudes and no command of the English language. I called customer service and he recommended I take Uber. I watched several cars being returned and locked away in the parking lot.
