I would give zero star if I could, been a long time customer, alwzys used fir rentals, I made a reservation about a week or so ahead of time, to pickup at 8am on 6/5/26, even called the Stone Park. IL location the day before to verify. They call and say can't rent without a mojor credit card for the large SUV, but smaller can use debit card, fine. but than also said will be a short delay to get the vehicle. Mind you we have a 6 hour ride ahead of us! My husband goes there and now they don't know when they will get the vehicle, I had a reservation to pickup at 8am and it was already 9 am. We couldn't wait any longer as we had to be at a wedding. Had to end up taking 2 personal cars because of their incompetence! I will never use them again. As there are plenty to choose from! I do not recommend them ever! Really cause alot of problems for us. read more

Stopped in earlier around 10pm for my rental reservation, as you first walk in I see a line & Blake seemed overwhelmed on the phone asking for help I try to be helpful & come back later today 8/18 for Blake to tell me he doesn't feel comfortable renting to me because state of Illinois gave me a paper Drivers License while I wait in the mail. I believe his decision was based on judgmental reasoning based on my appearance & the conclusions he made himself either way he might just be having a bad day but if so please get him some help so he can be in a better mood & service customers better or try to find a solution being the manager I believe in helping not being dismissive to get them out the door. No David Chapman needs to go. He is rude & not professional at all n lazy . I have Statefarm n tried calling to set a pick up for a car that my Insurance told me I can get from them only to be told by him I can't do that I have to go to villa park where my truck is going to get repairs done. I've dealt with this autobody shop before n this enterprise and never had this issue. I will never go here or recommend this place as long as he is there . I made it clear to him it was best for me there n I didn't need to get picked up or dropped off still he said no . Never again .. read more

I took my car to CarMax for service and was told I would need to get a rental car against my better judgement I did take the rental asked to pay up front which is something I have never been asked to do before..... Okay now the problems begin I was charged 214.00 up front when my warranty company only requires me to put down a 100.00 deposit I picked up the car on 4/8 and it was returned on 4/14 but he stated it was returned on 4/15 when my receipt from CarMax says 4/14 .... so on 4/19 Enterprise tried to charge me an additional 125.37 now I'm really confused luckily my bank do not allow charges without my card present I called and spoke with Oscar and asked why he told me that my warranty company pays 40.00 a day and the car I had was a 50.00 a day really how is this my problem when my contract states 35.27 a day for rental something is definitely not correct then when I questioned the charge he told me it was for taxes ...So by my calculation my warranty company paid 280.00 I paid 214.00 up front and now you want a additional 125.37 the total for my rental was 619.37 really someone please help me understand I should be getting a refund not charged more car was not clean at all I had to wipe it down with Clorox wipes my self floors was not clean and it had a odor in it .... I will not use enterprise ever again if my car needs service I will just get a ride or a uber and that will be much cheaper that renting there dirty cars and being overcharged.. My insurance pointed me towards Enterprise, so I found myself here in dire need of a vehicle to shuttle my fat ass from home-to-work-to-Portillos. I sauntered in around noon on a Monday and began the process of acquiring an 8-day car rental. Staff was fairly chill (perhaps too much so?) but they took care of me just fine. That is, until this happened: Them: "all we currently have available is a minivan." Me: "I'd rather use a freakin' pogo stick." A minivan?? What am I, a semi-sexy, yoga pants-wearing, mid 40's soccer mom who buys her rosé at Trader Joe's and has a kid named Ethan?!? Get real, I'm not f*cking driving that sh*t. Although, seeing as how the other option was to hitchhike my fine booty home, I took the keys to the Dodge Grand Caravan (smh) and drove that bitch for 24hrs..... ......until I returned the next day for a normal car. Upon which they gave me the keys to a midsized 4-door sedan in a similar class as my Zoom-Zoom. And guess what? It was a legit nice car!! So for the next week I'll be zipping around in a jet black 2016 Nissan Altima that's got a clean interior and exterior. This more than made up for the initial blunder.....which honestly wasn't their fault, just the laws of supply & demand at work! I'm sure the drop-off next Wednesday will go off without a hitch. It always has in the past and I don't see why next time would be any different. I had my vehicle fixed via Carmax and was covered for a rental through my insurance. I rented the car on Tuesday and returned it to Carmax on Friday evening- leaving the key in the receptionist hand. I have done this process several times with no issues. Today however I receive a phone call from the new manager Blake saying that it is a new policy that when I return a vehicle to Carmax I need to email Enterprise because they will be charging my card for non usage of the rental over the weekend. I asked Blake if this policy was written in their contract. He initially said yes and that it is also verbalized when they give me their business card. I ensured him that I wasn't informed of this policy when getting the rental and that I would look over the contract and asked him not to charge my card. He says oh you won't find it in the contract. I explained that you can not have a verbal contract about something as serious as this and assume it was verbalized. He said he was sure I was informed and was upset that I kept interrupt him when speaking. I'm not sure why he expected me not to interrupt him when he is trying to bill me for a car that was not in my possession. he kept telling me not to interrupt him and when I saw that he was going to bill me despite the (imaginary verbal conversation not happening) I hung up and called Carmax myself. If it is an agreement with Carmax and I'm the third party and Carmax has possession of the vehicle why is Enterprise trying to charge me additional money? read more

From the shuttle drivers to the check-in clerks to the person who checked our car back in, this was probably the most friendly car rental service I've ever encountered, and I travel A LOT! Every single person smiled, asked about our trip, offered to assist with luggage, asked if we needed directions... And, we'd just missed the shuttle for the return trip to the airport, and the manager rushed out, assuring us that he had another driver that would be there in two minutes. My only suggestion... Unbeknownst to us, we passed the last gas station and had to turn around and go back to fill up. It would be a nice touch if the check-in clerk would let customers know where the closest gas stations are so that when customers come back, they won't feel rushed. read more

I was blown away by my experience with this Enterprise. I called this Enterprise first and talked to Corey, who was very professional and helpful. Once I was there, I experienced quick service and was in and out. I actually was able to drop my rental back off a day early because my car had been repaired earlier than expected. I called Enterprise back because I had questions about a the early return and I experienced another very helpful and professional guy who I later found out was also named Corey. Keonte was also very professional and helpful upon me returning my rental. I was happy that I was able to get dropped off at the repair shop to pick up my car. So I had to use this stone park location several times because it is partner's with Carmax's warranty. Each and every time I have to use their service, the cars are filthy and nasty inside and the customer service isn't great. They first start off by bringing a car to carmax for you while you wait for your car to be serviced. When the Representative arrives with the vehicle, they NEVER have a work I.D or business card. They never have anything but car keys and tablet/paperwork for you to complete in order to get the car. The kicker is they turn right around and ask you for an I.D and credit card. RIDICULOUS! This last encounter last week was the icing on the cake. Each and every seat in the rental was completely stained and dirty. So DISGUSTING! I reported it to customer service and they just made a report. Nothing was done and the regional/district manager never called like the customer service agent said they would . I'm just convinced they give all the NASTY cars to the Hillside Carmax location and they don't care about the poor customer service. The Only thing they could possibly be concerned with is the old mighty dollar. Save your money and time and choose another location. read more

Got there Wednesday 9/13 as scheduled but they didn't have any vehicles available; even after calling me day before to confirm my visit. Was pretty annoyed as were some other customers. However, in 45 minutes they found a comparable vehicle at a nearby location and drove me over there to it and also gave me a discount due to the inconvenience. Considering they took care of it pretty well and gave me a discount, this definitely helped. Thank you. read more

This place gets zero stars for there service. I work for an insurance agency and send a lot of business to this location. They charged my client for insurance when she didn't need it so I called today to politely ask if they can reimburse her for it. I was transferred to a manager that did not care to reimburse my client. He was very rude, had horrible customer service skills and didn't seem to care at all. I was told that she must have knew what she was signing for but she speaks no English. Obviously she did not know. This is the last time I refer anyone to this location since they just don't care. It cost my customer a measly $65 for something she didn't even need and they didnt care to reimburse. Do not do any business with this Enterprise. On Dec 20th, I called State Farm to follow up on a claim since I was going to drop off my vehicle at a local auto body shop. I was set up with a rental from Enterprise in Stone Park, IL for the following day Dec 21st. I stopped by the Enterprise and was told that they did not have a vehicle ready for me since no one made any reservations. Its a lie because someone on behalf of Enterprise called me Dec 21st at 9:54 am from a phone number 708.343.5023. They are charging me an additional fee per day because I chose not to wait for the following Monday or travel to another Enterprise location to pick up an equivalent vehicle to mine. The guy who helped me just gave me a b/s answer and unfortunately for him, this is unsatisfactory which is why I contacted headquarters and taking care of it. read more

Rented a car for 4 days. Got a quote. By the time I returned car , insurance was added, which specifically stated no need for insurance, toll road was suppose to be included, got charged for it, & extra day, which I returned that day. It went from one price to a totally different amount. Car smelled like smoke. Dirty Windows . Steering wheel was filthy. He said he was the manger. He never stopped talking and let you say one word. I kid you not the whole process from the time the shuttle picked us up until the time I drove off the lot...wait for it...took no longer than 15 minutes!! We just flew in from L.A. I had my family and was in no mood to deal with renting a car. Steve S. Took care of me...Great kid.very professional and good sense of humor. If i can give this location zero stars, i definitely would. Reservation made for 2 days ago yet no car available. I spend day 1 calling to get hung up on. Day 2 I call and spoke to the "manager" Lucas who sounded was very unplesant and dry to be in customer service and says theres nothing available until that evening. Didnt offer to look for another location that might have a car. Just hung up. Called back to request pick up. Was told it wasnt a problem to then hear background talk & someone asked for my name. When it was given, the guy came back on the phone and said they dont have vehicles available for pick up. Even though 2 sec before it wasnt a problem. I get to the location at my scheduled time for every visible staff to be taking care of one customers with others waiting. "Assistant manager" K Green finally decides to help me. When given my name he said and i quote "your not getting a car. Have a good day". When asked why, he said his boss, Lucas told him to reject my business when i came in. Mind you, i had spoken to the location 30 min before. Green continued to show his unprofessional service by laughing and making jokes as if he was out on his personal time to other employees and 2 customers and not at work. When asked to speak to Lucas, Green again said your not getting a car. Goodbye... DO NOT go here!!!!! Take the extra 5 minute drive and visit the Villa Park Location. read more
