I was charged $75 total, which included removal, cat eye, shape, and design. Reasonable enough. This time, I asked for something similar--just with stars instead. Without asking or informing me, Chloe added a gel builder (something I did not request), and then told me the total was $110. She broke it down as removal, gel builder, shape, design, and gel. When I pointed out that I paid $75 for the same type of manicure at their other location, she said, "Prices are different depending on the manager." That's not a fair or professional business practice. I've been a loyal Milano customer for years, and there are no rewards, no loyalty perks, no incentives...nothing to make customers feel valued. Instead, it feels like they tack on extra charges wherever they can. $110 for a basic gel manicure is absurd. There are plenty of independent nail techs who offer higher-quality service for far less. In this economy, Milano's practices feel exploitative and sketchy. This company is not transparent and does not prioritize customer trust. I won't be returning.

The ladies did a great job, especially considering the deplorable state that my nails and toes were in - my visit was about two weeks overdue. The lady that did my mani (don't know the name, she had no name tag) was very gentle and cautious with my several broken nails, which I really appreciated. I would give them five stars had they not stopped during the pedicure to tell me that removal of callouses was an extra $5. They should factor in those $5 in their prices in the menu instead of presenting it as an up-charge. It just rubbed me the wrong way. This is the first time I heard of ANY nail salon saying that I had to pay first! Vivian says that it is a rule that "if you spend over $20 you have to pay first" in those exact words! So if that was the case..... pedicures there are $25... so why didn't she(Vivian) ask me to pay for my pedicure before hand ?? What is so different about me that I have to pay beforehand in order to get my nails done? Hmmm Another this is before I called my mother I asked her the total and she tells me $105.. $25 for the pedicure and for my nails $75.... So how the heck does that even add up to $105?? She(Vivian) is money greedy apparently trying to over charge me like I wouldn't notice. At this point I left, I paid for my pedicure and left because It's the principle of it all. They may not be glamorous, but overall they appear to be clean and they always do a very good job on pedicures, manicures, acrylics, designs and waxing. The owner is there every time I go and if you're a 'regular,' she has numerous times given me free nail fixes if something happens in between refills (Which for me happens often. Damn my nail biting). And this is even for the white and pink powder nails. She certainly never has to do anything for free, so I feel that she goes above and beyond to make her customers happy. I've always been very happy with my pedis, manis and eyebrow waxes. And I never feel like I'm spending an arm and a leg. For example, an eyebrow wax is only $6. Today I got both a regular pedi and a full set of french nails with both white and pink powder all for only $46. They usually take about 5-6 people at a time on the weekends, and about 4-5 people at a time during the week. They do both appointments and walk-ins. Give them a chance and you might be nicely surprised. Highly recommended.
