I am still waiting for a response from Huy. I brought my car in for a tune up, and to check out a rattling noise from under the car. He told me the noise came from the dashboard (not) but also that he tightened the screws to the shield he put on over the catalytic converter. Hmm.... Huy then told me my catalytic converter needed to be replaced. Huy put in a new catalytic converter two years ago. I reminded him of this and did not get a response other than "it's bad." Catalytic converters should last 10+ years. Now I am driving around with my catalytic converter making a loud noise, feeling ripped off from this experience. I will not return or recommend this business after this experience. read more

I'm genetically predisposed to Prius ownership so you can imagine my joy in finding Prius specialists. These guys are awesome. They rebuilt my engine a year ago and got my 2013 Prius past its inevitable milestone head gasket death. Head gasket repair is worth it for these, ask Huy about his Priuses with a billion miles on them. Best price in town and more thorough than another hybrid specialist. These are real Prius people, are enthusiastic about these cars and happy to help. They've taken care of a number of issues I've had. He's very knowledgeable on the cars (I'm a big 3rd gen Prius fan - it's great to find a Pirus enthusiast who's an expert + extremely knowledgeable on the Prius as well). He's also been taking care of all my maintenaces. If you need a Prius specialist or a looking for a Prius, then look no further. I have know Huy since September of 2018, and I have been meaning to write him a review for some time. I'm glad that I have waited, though, because I feel like my experience with him goes back far enough now to provide a substantiative recommendation. I came to Huy when I was in the market for a used Prius, based on the recommendation of a friend. He showed me several cars and gave me all the time I needed without the usual pressure. I ended up deciding to purchase elsewhere because I was looking for a model with lower mileage (more on that later). Based on the trust and rapport I had built quickly with Huy, I brought that car to him for an inspection. He did a very thorough job, even taking it on the highway with me to make sure he could get readings under different conditions. I have since brought the car back to Huy for all of my regular maintenance, and he has continued to earn my trust and respect as a mechanic and as an ethical businessman. Here are the highlights of why I love having Huy as my mechanic. -Huy is a funny, kind, and interesting person, and I like doing business with him. Don't believe me? Just ask him about his gospel-singing dog! -He's a good communicator, and always responds to texts, which makes things much easier for me. -He has a loaner car for you to drive if you need to leave your car with him. Just plan ahead with him to make sure it's available if you are going to need it. -Huy is honest. He won't try to sell you things you don't need. He will actually take the time to explain things he's doing, what parts he is using, etc. -His rates are very reasonable. In the end, I really just should have bought my car from Huy. The one thing that he found wrong with my car in the pre-purchase inspection was a damaged AC compressor. The seller told me that they had fixed it when we finally made the deal, but their repair only lasted a few months. I took it back to Huy, who did the job right. He even made a trip to Salem to find me a used part at a reasonable price. I don't often write reviews for businesses unless I feel like they really deserve some recognition. This is one of those cases. I would absolutely recommend Envirocars if you are looking to buy a used Prius or if you need any work done on your Prius (or any car, really). read more

Love Envirocars, highly recommend anyone in the market for a quality used Prius to start their search with Huy & company. I bought a 2008 Prius from these guys this past April, and have only positive things to say about my experience. I would recommend Envirocars to anyone and everyone. I've brought my 2007 Prius Hybrid here for a water pump replacement and some engine work recently. I was driving around near mall 205 and my ABS light came on along with the triangle emergency light. I had my family in the car and was really worried because we live in Estacada. I called Envirocars and I was able to get my car over right away with just a 20 minute wait and he let me know what the problem was right away. We have one working car right now and I was worried about that and was told "don't worry, I have a loaner you can use". Might I add this was free and I live in Estacada. I won't go anywhere else. Huy (pronounced Wee) is the guy if you need to buy or repair a hybrid. He knows them inside and out and it's nice knowing that these complicated machines can be handled by local craftsman instead of the dealer. Huy was super honest in our repair work and even kept us updated with photos as he worked on the car, never had that kind of service from a mechanic! Had an awesome experience with Envirocars! I needed to get a new car battery and also got my problematic lights changed out for LED ones. A few of the auto shops I've been to in the past struggled with Prius lights and told me I had to get them fixed at the Toyota dealership. Envirocars changed them with no problem. Quote for both fixes were EXTREMELY reasonable. Turnaround was quick. Free loaner was a cool surprise as I was stressing out about renting a car. Will definitely return for future fixes! read more

We are very happy with the two vehicles we purchased from Huy. His prices are fair and both cars have proved to be very reliable. Our first vehicle was a plug-in Prius. He sourced a new charging cable, went out of his way to familiarize us with the vehicle (our first ever Prius), took a trade-in, and gave us a generous deal. This guy is great and his word is gold. My son bought a Prius here in the fall of 2016 and then took off for college (in state). At first it was disappointing because the check engine light came on right away. We had the codes ran and found out the catalytic converter was bad. I called Huy and he told me to bring it in and he will look at it. Well, with my kid gone in college it wasn't going to be just a "stop by" kind of day. It took about a month before my son could get up to Portland and Huy still took a look, agreed that the cat was bad and replaced it. No problems with that again. Then a few months later the window seal started falling out on the drivers door. I spoke to Huy again to see if I could buy one from him and he said just to bring the car in and he would take care of it. Once again, not a quick trip, but this past weekend my son was able to get up here and Huy hooked him up with a new one. Stand up character and good prices. For sure check him out! read more
