Our 90 year old Oriental Plane trees in East Sacramento needed some serious attention...a lot of weight-reduction was needed, and the removal of dead and dangerous limbs. A couple of us neighbors banded together, to get our trees serviced. The estimate was reasonable and I was even more impressed by their knowledge of the tree species and careful consideration of the overall future tree health. In addition, they definitely had the proper equipment to execute and finish quickly and neatly. They delivered. I will also add that my experience with their estimator, Jeremiah, was the most professional encounter. The working staff in the trees were extremely careful and skilled, in maneuvering the hydraulic platform to get the best cutting angles. Their invoicing and documentation was by far the most professional and complete in description of services. I appreciated that disclosure and compliancy to city tree maintenance codes. Clean up was quick and efficient, absolutely the best recommendation. Where do I start, Jeremiah showed up early for the estimate appointment and was told by my sister I was busy so he left with a verbal estimate. Here's my problem, I immediately called back and told him I was just in the bathroom nor was I late for the appointment. He refused to turn back to meet me in person because he had an appointment in Galt. We speak for a bit about the tree. If im paying for a job of course I would rather meet you in person so I could voice my concerns and understand what needs to be done assuming that's what scheduled appointments are for. How unprofessional is that. Avoiding the red flags because it was a good deal, regretfully a day later I accepted the quote and scheduled a day for my tree to be trimmed. He doesn't pick up his calls and he takes hours to return a simple text. After texting a few more of my concerns he tells me I'm better off with another tree service, again excuses. From the start he didn't seem interested in the job. I had to contact him a day later for a quote. Here's my thing, if you don't want the job just say so. I have no knowledge in trees whatsoever. My questions weren't even answered promptly or thouroughly, leaving me confused. Quite honestly he just seemed annoyed with all my questions. Truly Unprofessional. Work on your customer service, I was kind and understanding. Overall I'd rather pay more for better service. read more

Environmental Tree Service is great! My mom's house had a rotting maple tree and a major limb crashed on her house. We called ETS for a quote because they replied to nearly all their Yelp reviews, both positive and negative. Their quote was 35% lower than the next highest quote. The tree was removed, stump ground and completely cleaned up quickly and efficiently. I have a fairly large oak tree about 4 feet from my own garage and I may be removing it. Couldn't ask for a more professional tree service. We have been trying to get a 100'+ eucalyptus tree topped. 5 tree services have flaked. Was great the first time hired about 5 years ago. Not so much now. Managed to step on an crush garden lights (the expensive LED kind) and stomped and ruined a rosemary bush. I bought a derelict home in 2022. I hired ETS in late Dec 2022 or the 1st week of Jan 2023. mostly due to a ~50ft pine tree leaning over the house chasing sun (roughly 30deg lean). Jeremiah came out to estimate & then a big storm hit. We were in negotiations on the contract and then another big storm hit and trees were down everywhere. He didn't try to change the quote at all, and in my gut I was waiting for it. I was removing and grind stumps for a pine tree that was leaning over my house--touching my chimney, a mulberry tree, palm tree stump against my house, and some other misc small trees and stumps from my property plus planting a maple tree. At that time companies weren't taking non-emergency jobs (like the tree is IN your house emergencies), if you could even get them to answer the phone. I had numerous estimates scheduled after ETS came out who no showed or didn't respond to questions after the estimate. Though he postponed my appt a few times, he didn't cancel. I got nervous as more trees kept falling around me, then my fence fell, and then my neighbors 80ft eucalyptus started dropping branches the size of trees, onto my driveway and roof. I probably bugged him a little bit in my panic, but he told me to call. He always assured me he was still coming and he'd be out before the pine tree fell. And he was. I say they made it by a day, he might say otherwise. But we'll never know. Environmental Tree Service & Jeremiah were great and I've been referring them to anyone who's mentioned needing tree service. His estimate was extremely fair, didn't bs just kept it honest, the workers were prompt, clean, polite, and helpful. Not only did they clear the downed eucalyptus trees in my driveway (without me asking), but they did my neighbors too. Scheduling aside, did everything go "perfectly?" No. But Jeremiah promptly rectified it without excuses, the office staff supported him as they should, and if that's how they perform when the city is in shambles.
