She is why I prefer to stay at Hilton hotels and will not stay anywhere else in Boston. She was friendly, helpful and went above-and-beyond to get us in our room!! The room itself was spacious, VERY clean, comfortable and well appointed. The location was great, very close to the historic district and a short Uber from the cruise terminal and the airport. If you want comfort in Boston, don't look anywhere else!

Now the area is always busy and non stop traffic, but it was centrally located for the things I wanted to do. I only did ride share for things that were outside of the downtown Boston area or too far to walk with my mom. The hotel is clean, front desk associate Wensley, was always so kind and pleasant whenever I needed something or returned from sight seeing. I was in a premium double queen and OMG, spacious room, barn door bathroom, hardwood flooring, a seating area, view of the greenway, fridge in the room, and an overall very nice and comfortable room. It was enough space for us; we weren't stepping over each other and we used the extra seating area as a changing area when we needed to change for the evening dinners. My only complaint is with housekeeping, the room was rarely cleaned prior to 4pm and we would leave around 9am every day. We only received 2 face towels despite asking for 4. After going to the front desk and asking a note be entered we finally received enough face towels. We couldn't figure out when they would take our bath towels, we put them on the floor they would take them, put them on the rack they would take them. I have always put them on the floor and if on the rack it means I'm using them again. Either way, I did appreciate fresh towels on the days the room would be cleaned prior to our return. Overall the stay was comfortable, the bed and pillows were comfortable and I slept better there than at home. I'm starting to notice a pattern with sleeping away from home....maybe I should stay away from home more often! One thing to note, each floor has an ice and filtered water machine. That was a nice touch and it kept me from having to purchase bottled water and spending extra money for delivery of water.

Check-in took a long time. There was only one employee at the front desk working through a building line of incoming guests. Once past that, the valet was quick to grab our bags, get them to the room, and take care of the vehicle. If you don't have much luggage you can probably walk straight to the airport; it's not far. There's a good restaurant and bar inside and a decent spot for coffee & pastries or lite bites. When I returned the rental car, a gas station was only a couple of minutes away and the Boston rental car return center sat just past it. As soon as the car was turned in I called the Hilton front desk; they immediately sent a driver to pick me up and bring me back to the hotel. An Uber into the North End for dinner on Hanover Street ran about $23. I would definitely stay here again on a final night in Boston. The shuttle running every 15 minutes made the morning departure easy.

The location remains excellent, and the bar is still one of the hotel's best features. Unfortunately, the rest of my recent experience fell well below the standard I remember. The shuttle service is one of the biggest issues. During my stay, I watched multiple Hyatt shuttles come and go while I continued waiting for the Embassy Suites shuttle. The scheduling and reliability could definitely use improvement, especially for guests who rely on it to get to and from the airport. Customer service over the phone also needs attention. Calls often go unanswered for an extended period, and instead of a staff member greeting you or asking if you can hold, you're simply placed into a waiting queue. A small courtesy, such as acknowledging the caller before placing them on hold, would make a much better impression. The hotel itself is also showing its age and would greatly benefit from a comprehensive renovation. The property has a lot of potential because of its location, but the facilities no longer reflect the quality many guests expect. I'm not writing this to criticize for the sake of criticizing. I'm sharing honest feedback in the hope that management will address these issues. But the nightmare we were about to uncover is not worth the price. The walls were peeling, the room smelt of a smoker, horribly rude concierge, and the cherry on top BED BUGS! Yes, the bed bugs did indeed bite that night. While my friend and I were relaxing we saw a tiny creature crawl up one of our pillows. We immediately got up and saw that it was a bed bug, we then checked the sheet seams and behold, tiny black and brown dots everywhere. Bed bug droppings all over. We left immediately and after throwing all our belongings into trash bags, ended up sleeping in our car.
