Highlights: Prime location for shopping and sightseeing. Walking distance to Boston Public Garden. Easy access to the orange and green line that will take you to the North End near the Freedom Trail to enjoy the historical sites. Plenty of coffee shops, bakeries and restaurants. Trader Joe's and Star Market within walking distance. 15-20 minutes from Boston Logan airport. I'm a Marriott Bonvoy member and wanted to earn points. I debated between this location and the Long Wharf because I wanted to see the 250th 4th of July fireworks. This location is within a 20-minute walk to the Esplanade, which actually isn't a bad walk since there's Copley Square and an abundance of shops and eateries. The Copley Place mall is attached to the hotel, and you're about 1-2 blocks from Newbury St. which is known for its shopping and food. Copley Place mall has all the luxury designer stores like Celine, Fendi, Dior, Gucci, Burberry, and more in addition to J. Crew, Victoria's Secret, etc. For sightseeing, you can book a duck tour (highly recommend to view the landmarks by land and water) across the street at the Prudential Center or take the T to the orange or green line to the Freedom Trail/North End/Boston Common. Marriott Copley Place offers a pair of free tickets to View Boston at the top of the Prudential Center and a daily $20 credit for the Yard House restaurant on the second floor. There is a $30 daily destination fee, but with the daily restaurant credit and tickets, I think you get your money's worth. You just bill the Yard House to your room. I used it for drinks and happy hour or appetizers to watch some of the World Cup matches. If you don't use it, you lose it. The elevator can be tricky at first. I've never seen a set up like this before. You pick the floor you're on or want to go to, then it will tell you what elevator A through F to take. It takes a bit to process where the letter is among the open area, but once you get the order, it's quick to follow. The river view room on the 22nd floor was lovely. I'm sure I could've seen the fireworks and drone show from there, but I prefer to be in the live action for this historical moment. The room itself had a nice shower with non-slip flooring. The bathroom was a little small and didn't have much space to hang towels but for one. The queen beds were ok. It was a little too firm for me and hurt my back. The pillows are down feather, so if you're allergic, you may want to ask if they have other options. Our housekeeping person, Annie, kept the place clean and refilled towels. The outlet near the bedside table wasn't working, so I plugged in on the alarm clock. The TV was nice. In-room WiFi was only free for Bonvoy members, which I used. If not, it's $12.95, so that's a con. It's only complimentary in the lobby. As far as the check in/check out process, I called ahead to add my Bonvoy membership, and whoever I spoke to on the phone was nice and answered my questions about the river room view. Check in, the guy helped add a guest name. He spoke really fast when it came to the daily enhancements, but thankfully there was a card with the key cards to explain it. Check out was easy. They printed the invoice for me if I wanted, but they also email it. The only con was asking for late check out. You have to ask the day of, so I called, and the guy said he'd check then put me on hold. He came back on the line asking what I needed, and I said I was waiting for an answer about late checkout. He said he told me I was good to go. Why put me on hold then? After that, he abruptly hung up. Rude. As a Bonvoy member, you get an extra hour for check out without a fee. Would I stay here again when I come back to Boston? Yes. It wasn't perfect, but it's a prime location that I would want to go back to for shopping and food. read more

Beautiful hotel! We came here to go watch the FIFA game at Yard House. Interior as you enter has this yacht inside at the foyer. The restaurant was huge and had really cool murals on the wall. Luckily we were able to walk in and get seated right away being a Saturday night and all. Place was packed. Service was friendly. I've been here before for conferences too. Nice hotel. For a large convention hotel, the Copley Marriott punches well above its weight -- a thoughtful remodel has stripped away the dated, institutional feel you'd expect from a property this size, and replaced it with something that actually feels current and inviting. The location is hard to beat. Right in Copley Square, walkable to everything, and easy to get in and out of. The M Club is a genuine highlight -- nicer than most lounge-tier amenities I've seen in the chain, with solid food and a good beverage selection. Worth the upgrade if you have access. What stood out most is that this hotel never feels like what it is: a massive convention machine. The design and service keep it from becoming anonymous. I attended a conference at this hotel and had the pleasure of enjoying accommodations here for four nights. It has a great location in the center of the city with a direct connection to the Copley Place shops with lots of high-end shopping. Two MBTA (subway) stations are within a few minutes' walk. I found it very easy to check in online, and all the staff I interacted with were quite professional and friendly. Check out was also exceptionally easy by just using the app with no need to wait in a line at the front desk. The elevator system is great; chose your floor before boarding on a touch screen and then head to your assigned elevator rather than just pushing an up or down button. This made the elevators extremely quick and efficient and uncrowded. We had a king room on a high floor and found the room to be quite adequately sized for two. The TV has smart features included including the ability to connect to your own Netflix and YouTube accounts. The bathroom was quite small, but the shower seemed like it had recently been updated and remodeled. The walls of the room seemed very thin, however, as we were awoken late one night when the guests in the neighboring room returned and broke into peals of laughter. I really enjoyed the M Club located on the second floor and available to Bonvoy platinum and higher members (and those who booked a room with access) plus one additional guest. A very extensive hot breakfast buffet is available daily along with a selection of hot and cold appetizers each evening. Soft drinks and other non-alcoholic beverages and small snacks (chips, pretzels, etc.) are available all day. Alcoholic beverages are not complimentary, however, as you might find at international properties. They are not inexpensive either ($16 for single serve bottle of prosecco, for example). Overall, though, I was impressed with the M Club and the club staff. Did I mention it's very large inside and never felt crowded? It's also well-appointed and contemporary with a lot of seating. The conference facilities were great with fast WiFi and comfortable meeting rooms. Overall, this was a great stay at a very nice Marriott property! read more

We staid here for a business conference - it is connected to the Copley shopping plaza. The offer both valet & self park. Self parking is $45 a day, and valet runs $75 a day. If you self park you enter through the mall - a very high end mall, where you go down a half escalator to get to the elevator bay for the hotel. They use a smart elevator system so each elevator does not go to more than 6 floors in a single ride. This is very nice as they have like hotel floors. The room was clean and well stocked, they do charge $5 per bottle of water you drink out of the room, and with alot of nicer hotel - there is no microwaves. Maid service was great - they came every day besides our last day to make our beds and replace towels. Each room is equipped with ironing board, safe, coffee maker, ice bucket, and mini fridge. They have 2 bottles of water in the room but they are at a $5/bottle charge. In room dining is available from the Yard House restaurant that is located downstairs. The conference center was large and stretched over 2 floors. We were there for a sold out conference so there were ALOT of people. Marriott Copley Place had alot of conference spaces with the smaller rooms named after Ivey League schools. They had rooms large enough to accommodate all of the different courses, talks and certification programs. This hotel has an incredible gym with an indoor pool. The gym is open 24/7 and located on their 5th floor. It does require a key card to gain access. The pool is within the gym area but separated by a glass wall and doors. They have every thing from a stair master, to rowing machines. We spent some time in the evenings after our conference working out in the gym. Marriott Boston Copley Place checked all the boxes for me as far as hotels go. We recently stayed here for a quick weekend trip to Boston just to see a city I've never been and to eat some good food. We opted not to rent a car but rather take advantage of all the public transportation options they have here. This was one of the reasons why we chose this hotel. They have train stops on site and nearby. Staying in downtown Boston is not cheap so I was hoping we were going to get what we paid for and I think we did. Upon walking in, the lobby isn't huge, but the the ceilings go high up with a glass ceiling. Customer service was excellent from the time we got there until the time we checked out. Like I mentioned before, you get what you pay for here. It is centrally located close to a lot of the things that Boston has to offer. It's a short walk from the Boston Public Library which was high on our list of things to see. It is also connected to the Prudential Center and the Copley Place Mall. From our room on the 23rd floor, we had a beautiful view of the Charles River and a little glimpse of the MIT and Harvard area. They do charge resort fees daily, but with that you get a 20 dollar daily credit to Yard House which is on the second floor. We made sure to go grab drinks there every day we were there. It also included tickets to View Boston which is a 360 degree observation deck on top of the Prudential Center. They have a really nice pool on site as well. Didn't partake this time though. The rooms were very nice. They were nice and modern, clean and everything was in good, working condition. I really liked that they had the personalized screen on the TV when we walked in. Those little touches get me every time. You can also keep an eye on your daily fees and not be surprised at check out. The room also comes with a safe and mini fridge. The bed was very comfortable and I slept like a baby every night. The AC worked great. The bathroom was nice and the shower had one of those big rainfall shower heads with a detachable spray as well. I also like when hotels put that spa quality shampoo and soaps in dispensers in the showers so I don't have to break open my stuff that I brought. Overall, my first stay in Boston was very comfortable thanks to this hotel. I would definitely consider staying here again the next time I am in town. read more

I stayed here in mid-November 2025 for a conference at the Hynes Convention Center. It has several pluses. First, the skyline views from my room on 34th floor room were lovely. Second, the hotel is in a good location with an indoor skyway and connection to a mall. It was a 7-8 minute walk to the Convention Center. During cold or rainy days, going to the conference without a heavy jacket was great. Third, the indoor gym on the 5th floor had plenty of treadmills with open space. That said, the rooms are a little cramped (ideal for a single guest). The lamps could be upgraded to allow more light for nighttime reading. Also, the elevator system requires a bit of adjustment as you have to choose your floor in advance of boarding one. Not sure if I would stay here again if traveling with family, but it's a great location if you are in Boston to attend a conference at the Hynes Convention Center. read more

Situated between two malls with plenty of high and mid tier shops (Copley Place and Prudential Center) and restaurants, you really don't have to leave. In fact, I didn't go outside at all during a rainy/snowy April. There are plenty of connecting sky bridges to get around. Room was a bit dated, but well maintained. Elevators are the kind where you choose your floor and have to watch for which of the 6 elevators is going to your floor. Easy to figure out, harder to remember to look for your designated elevator. We've stayed here multiple times because of its location - relatively close to much of the downtown and Northeastern University. It's directly connected via covered walkway to Copley Place and the Prudential center, which means you've got a number of dining options and plenty of shopping available without actually going outside in the freezing Boston winter. The rooms are very much average for a full fledged Marriott and the views from the upper rooms are great. Service is mediocre at the front desk and housekeeping. We had to call in the midafternoon this past trip because our room hadn't been made up all morning while we were out. Valet parking costs are very high, so be mindful if you're parking a car here. All this being said, I'd probably stay here again because of its location and generally reasonable room rates (in addition to Bonvoy program). read more

The Marriott Boston Copley Place is situated in a great spot. It is connected to a high end shopping mall. It was a busy weekend due to the Sox game. The hotel was fully staffed at every counter. I was greeted within a minute of entering the check in line and took less than 5 minutes. There are plenty of elevators for the 38 floors. You tap the floor number you desire and it directs you to the elevator with an assigned letter. One thing I didn't like was that elevator H got stuck full of guests. It announced elevator out of service! There is a lounge that has daily breakfast which is good. There is also a Yard House inside the hotel. Lots of shopping places, restaurants and coffee shops within walking distance. Will stay again if in Boston. read more

Centrally located near all the popular shopping stores. There is a small grocery store across the street and a few blocks is plenty of fast food places. This location Marriot was great. The rooms were clean and service was excellent. I was not in high floor and I was able to get a good night rest. I stayed here for 4 nights while in town for a wedding. Pros: -Excellent customer service by Chloe who checked us in. After a full day of flying, she was quick and efficient and even gave my daughter a toy. -Comfortable, clean room. It had everything we needed, along with a beautiful view from the 26th floor. -Spacious gym with 2 pull ups bars, Free weights, plenty of treadmills. Nice, clean pool also available. -Excellent location. Perhaps this is the best part as you'll be in arguably the best neighborhood in Boston. Supermarket right across the street. Boylston and Newbury Streets a short walk away with plenty of shops and restaurants. Prudential Building with shopping mall accessible through walkway bridge. Boston Public Library and Trinity Church a short walk away. Duck Boat experience right across the street. Plenty to do in the area without needing a car. -Yard House restaurant that serves breakfast to dinner on 2nd floor. The hotel charges you a $30 destination fee where you can use $20 of it as credit towards the Yard House. Starbucks with mobile ordering also located on 2nd floor. -Nice, spacious lobby where you can relax and lounge around. This is a busy hotel and the energy level is high. Cons: -The gentleman who checked me out (tall white guy with earrings) was curt and impatient. Not sure what his deal was as I saw him check-in someone after and he was all smiles towards that person. -Shower water pressure is weak -Mini fridge in room didn't seem to be working properly as it froze many of our foods and drinks -Price. I recently stayed at this Marriott for business travel. It's convenient to an office location and seemed like an easy choice. The hotel is part of a large complex with a multi-story foyer that opens into a mall-like space. While there are a lot of amenities, it's not the quiet hotel you may be looking for. The elevators are a bit complex to understand and many of the older patrons were confused and required help navigating them. The rooms themselves are nice, clean, standard rooms. I was close to the elevators, which I don't expect as a rewards member and frequent customer. Because of that, it was a loud night, even with a sound machine on. They have room service available from the Yard House on the second level, but the menu is very limited. My checkin process was smooth, but when I returned to the concierge desk, twice, during my stay I was unable to get the help I needed. Verdict, I would stay again for the convenience, but this is likely not the Marriott experience you're used to read more

My family and I stayed here on a weekend getaway for my early birthday celebration. I was pleasantly surprised. I didn't know what to expect but was happy that it had a Yard House restaurant and Starbucks. Also, it's connected to the Copley Mall and Prudential Center. Across the street, you will find the grocery chain, Star Market. Talk about convenient! They only offered valet parking for $69 a day; make sure to bring money to tip your drivers and bell hops. Every employee we encountered were very professional and friendly. The room we stayed in was spacious and clean. I really loved the rainfall showerhead in the shower. Housekeeping was pleasant and offered to clean our room/provide new towels. The TV was huge; we were able to sign into Netflix with our account. There was a Keurig machine in the room and bottles of water for $5. The room was quiet at night; I couldn't really hear anyone in the hallway or outside. Unfortunately, we didn't get to check out the indoor heated pool because we didn't have time. There was a gym (which I didn't get to check out) and the M Club for VIP members. Overall, we had a pleasant stay. It was family friendly and close to everything! I would definitely stay here again. read more

We spent a week at the Boston Marriott Copley Place on a "high floor" (more expensive but same rooms as low floors), room 3319. Let's give the good news first. Great view from the 33rd floor, good climiate control in the room, very friendly and good maid service, very clean, what food serivce there is (one restaurant; see below) is very good (though expensive), outstanding elevators (external floor choice, fast, no lines or crowds), great pool and exercise facility, free self-serve guest laundry, comfortable bedding. Now the bad news, some of which is basic to a comfortabe hotel stay. The rooms are very small (typical Marriott-small, IMO). They're fine for a single traveler, but my wife and I had a hard time staying out of each other's way. The small closet and two drawers weren't even close to being enough for our week's luggage. The worst issue with the room, and a problem at many hotels, was the extreme lack of LIGHT. It was extremely dim (except for the bathroom), with bedside lamps too dim to read by, a lamp over the quasi-desk/table that's barely adequate for reading, and no other lighting in the main room. To make things worse, the floors, tables & tabletops, etc., are all very dark. Maybe twenty-somethings can tolerate such stupidly dim lighting but senior citizens are out of luck. There is exactly one restaurant in this enormous hotel, and it's a very loud sports bar most of the day and evening. The menu is adequate and the food very good and plentiful. Maybe guests are expected to seek out local restaurants, which is fine when the weather's good, but often inconvenient. Room service, from the same menu, is a joke. It comes in paper bags with plastic covered containers. (That's true of many US Marriott hotels, perhaps all.) Forget cart-tables with tabecloths and real china and metal utensils (no room for them in the cramped rooms anyway), and forget trays with real plates, and silverware. Romantic room service with a litte flower in a vase, or breakfast in bed with your spouse, just isn't part of the expensive Marriott (or touted "Bonvoy") experience. (To be fair, the room-service-in-a-sack is fast and the items quite tasty.) The telephone concierge is an AI voice, and generally worthless. To get to a real person one has to listen to several sentences of spiel about how happy "she" is to help you (but she rarely can), then ask for a real person. Beware the bathroom lights. They turn off when the room is empty (for those who need a beacon in the night), and THEY TURN OFF SUDDENLY WHEN YOU SHOWER FOR TOO LONG. The motion sensor doesn't pick up movement behind the shower door. I learned that while balancing on one foot and washing the other. The switch itself malfunctioned 3-4 times during the week. Smaller items: There are no complimentary toiletries and no complimentary bottles of water (in spite of our being Bonvoy members, amassing "points" for I-don't-know-what; fortuately, they work for lesser Marriott properties such as Springhilll Suites). The water bottles are clearly marked $5.00 each. The free Bonvoy membership entitles one to free Internet service, but getting online is a little misleading as they try to get one to pay $12.95 or more per day (unnecessary, but it's easy to click the wrong button---check your bill on checkout). The TV guide regularly gets the programming wrong (probably not Marriott's fault). That's it! Our next stops will be in other Marriott properties (Springhill Suites, etc.) but pointedly not in their Marriott hotels. read more

I was recently in the Copley area, but stayed at the Sheraton and had a pretty poor experience there, so this time I opted for this Marriott and it was an EXCELLENT choice! Upon arriving the first impression was how large and grand the place is... inside and out! It's connected to the walkways that take you to the Prudential Center Mall and Copley Place. Checking in was PERFECT! The best check-in experience I've had in a long time! Sorry, I forgot his name, but he seems to be the guy in charge up there (had lots of lapel pins of police badges). He hit all the points when providing us with our check-in, especially when advising about the property and what comes with our stay - it was very informative and helpful! I stay at several Marriott properties monthly (4 in the past week) and really enjoyed this level of attention to detail and helpfulness during check-in! The property is huge, offering lots of elevators in the elevator bank and I love how you call them, but using a pad on the wall to select your floor and it tells you which elevator to use - Very efficient! Our room was nice and comfortable. The bathroom and room were very clean and everything worked nicely. Some bonuses when staying here - There is a $30/day resort fee can be used towards $30 in food/drink at Yard House, so we stopped in daily for cocktails, which were credited to our room. I am super bummed! It is my graduation week and my family is staying at this hotel for my celebrations. We had booked two queen beds. When we checked in, they offered to upgrade us because of my status. We were so excited because it sounded like the dreamiest room and the lady said that it was the best room and that we had the best view. Well, we got up here and it was just a king bed with dirty sheets of hair and stains. Yes, the view is great, but now we only have a King bed for four people with gross sheets. I asked for new bedding over a half an hour ago and still waiting for them to come so we can go to bed. Graduation week is not off to a great start. :( read more

This was such an efficient and well thought out hotel. I loved the hotel elevators: here you choose your floor and it guides you to the elevator that would take you to that floor. There was minimal stops at every floor if any. It would normally take you and others that needed that floor directly, no confusing or unpleasant interactions with people who might be confused or pressing wrong buttons. This really reduced the stress. In rare cases it would stop for someone on the way down but not very often. At the least, it wouldn't stop at every floor when you're just trying to get to the lobby. Also, it is connected to a mall and connected to an overpass to take you to some convenience stores, grocery, and other shopping. It really had what you need for a flagship type city center hotel. Made staying here super convenient and stress-free. The room was relaxing and comfortable. The room cleaning was fast and efficient, I didn't feel like it would take forever and you could access your room quickly. I travel frequently for business. This Marriott is centrally located with nice access to the adjacent shopping center. It's also near an area with a nice walking / running path and numerous local restaurants. I had a room on a high floor which was quiet and had a great view. The bed was very comfortable and AC very quiet. The nightlight in the bathroom was annoying as it prevented the room from being completely dark at night and could not be turned off. Yard House restaurant was OK. Super loud and food was OK but nothing special. (There are other local options which are much better.) read more

The shower lacked water pressure and the tv was a mess. The pool was nice, however very crowded with kids not following the no diving/jumping rules. I stayed at this hotel while attending a conference. We had a choice of staying at the Sheraton (on the other end of the convention center) or the Marriott. Based on reviews and the ongoing renovations taking place in July 2024 at the Sheraton, I chose the Marriott. I am pleased to report I had a very enjoyable stay! Check-in went very smoothly, and my room was ready upon arrival at about 4pm. The front desk staff was very friendly and informative. The elevators are unique! You indicate which floor you need to go to, and it tells you which elevator to take. The elevators are fast and efficient. The room was clean and comfortable. It was quiet and I felt safe as a solo traveler. The bathroom was kind of small, but as a solo traveler it was not an issue. The usual amenities were included shampoo, conditioner, lotion, hand soap, and hair dryer. They also included a spray for the pillows that was supposed to help with sleep. Not sure if it worked, but I slept well and it was a nice touch. Checkout was also smooth. I had used a bottle of water in the room (larger size) which indicated it would be $5, but they did not charge me at check out. There is a high end shopping mall attached to the hotel, and some great restaurants nearby. I ate at the Salty Pig (just outside the shopping mall) and the Seafood restaurant in the mall as well, and both were amazing! There is also a Starbucks upstairs at the entrance to the walkway leading to the convention center, and a bar as well. I would definitely stay here again! read more

The hotel was clean and I had a great view. There was a refrigerator and a Keurig machine in the room. I don't drink coffee but I can see how it's nice for someone who does. The bathroom is a bit small so if you're a bigger person you may have trouble going in and out of the bathroom. I am 5'2" and it was a bit hard for me. The housekeeping services was excellent I had Diana and Erika and they did fantastic. The front desk was friendly. The Yard House was upstairs which was convenient at times. They do not have breakfast at this hotel but The Yard House does a buffet. I didn't use it but a couple of friends did and they said it was pretty good. If I came back to Boston I would stay here again. read more

We stayed here for the Susan G Komen 3-Day walk and had a great time. The rooms were nice and clean with daily house keeping. The staff was super friendly to all of us staying and we were definitely taking over the hotel for the weekend with the big event. The only thing that irked me was when I checked in, I asked for a room next to my teammate, and there was none available. The receptionist said there was a room on the floor below and that was the closest she could get me. Then after she got me checked in, she actually put me 3 floors above my teammate and stated that "she put me in a really nice room." (I thought I got an upgrade). No... lol it was the same as my teammates. So I'm not sure what that was about. I didn't take any stars off my rating for that but I was a little disappointed. read more

Boston Marriott Copley Place - Outside the meeting rooms for the SGK 3-Day - Hotels Near Me - Boston, Massachusetts

We were upgraded to a suite on the 37th floor which boasted commanding views. Everything looked brand new, not a complete surprised as we were told their rooms had been recently renovated. The suite was expansive, accommodating a really impressive view of South Boston, Logan Airport and the harbor islands in the distance. We had essentially 180 degrees of uninterrupted views from one of the tallest vantage points in the area. Check out the photos. The living room included a couch, chair, large TV, fridge, sink, closet and safe. Everything was in perfect working order. It opened to a large king bedroom with en suite, which boasted the same view as the living room. The bed was very comfortable, and everything looked new. They have high tech elevators at the Marriott, you must first select the floor on a touch screen, and are then assigned an elevator. This seemed to work very well, as you weren't loaded into an elevator with a few other people all destined for different floors. They have an expansive fitness center with views of the city and a large pool which was filled with February vacation children on this weekend. There is plenty of room for a comprehensive workout in this facility. The Marriott is at the end of the Copley Place Mall an upscale, luxury shopping mall with stores like Neiman Marcus, Saks Fifth Avenue, Tiffany, Gucci, Jimmy Choo, Yves Saint Laurent, Salvatore Ferragamo, Louis Vuitton, Dior, Burberry, and Versace. If you want to buy an expensive designer bag, I guess this is your mall! These designer shops were interspersed with the occasional Rolex store and Mont Blanc pen proprietor. The Marriot also connects via an elevated walkway to the Prudential Shopping Mall, which has about 75 stores, and is more typical of a nice regional mall. There are a plethora of mall stores and restaurants here, with food choices ranging from Eddie V's Seafood to the Shake Shack. You can get in a pretty long mall walk if you tour both these malls! The Marriott is in an excellent location, with easy access to all the Boston sites. And other than a mediocre meal from the Yard House, we thought this Marriott visit deserved a five star rating. We would be delighted to return. read more

Came here for a gala dinner one night and was kind of disappointed. The hotel staff who hosted the event checking me in were quite rude. I asked if there were coat hangers and straight up "nos", with unhappy faces... it was a common trend too (not sure if they were specific to the gala or to the hotel but still, can I not ask about a coat check?!) The bathrooms on the 4th floor were mostly dirty and not-flushed, lighting was also bad, seemed very dim for a bathroom. Hotel lighting was also really dull in general. The worst part about the gala was the food.... quite disappointing, nothing stood out, the servers were generally unfriendly and looked unhappy, and also something from this buffet style dinner made my stomach seriously upset (usually can eat a lot of things, this is really uncommon for me). read more

Recently stayed here during a business trip. It's a pretty cool hotel. There's a luxury mall attached and I really loved that they had a Starbucks! The rooms were nice and included complimentary amenities. Just be mindful that in order to use the Wifi for free, you have to be a Marriott Rewards member. From the upper levels the view of the city were pretty nice. I wouldn't mind staying here again. read more

Centrally located and so close to the famous public library. I came along while my husband had a conference so I really enjoyed the convenience of being located in a great neighborhood. The lounge is spacious and I was even able to work easily. Food and bev and shopping options are numerous as it's connected to two major shopping malls/plazas. read more

Tl;dr Avoid Joey at the Front Desk. He's incredibly rude and unaccommodating. Also, if you have late check-out, bring your ID and get your key reprogrammed before noon. I'm from Boston and was visiting my family for Christmas. I love the central location of the Marriott, the connection to the malls and the subway, and that it has a pool. The rates were very fair for the holiday season and I have loyalty to Marriott so done deal. There is a city tax for each day you stay so they compensate it with complementary spin classes, free Trolley Tours, and $25 credit at the Yard House restaurant on the 2nd floor. The rooms are spacious and clean but lack hand soap (we just lived through COVID, come on). While there is a "heated" indoor pool, it was cold and there is no accompanying hot tub. On my last morning, I called the front desk if it was possible to check out later than noon. The girl was super nice and let us stay until 2PM but we would need to go downstairs to get our keys reprogrammed. Perfect! Since I was meeting my cousin at the Yard House at 12:15PM, I went downstairs at noon to get my key reprogrammed. Joey asked me for my ID because apparently I "could've picked up the card holder and keys from anywhere". As I was coming down for lunch, I didn't have my wallet and, because it was after noon, I couldn't get back into my room. It is Christmas Day. Give me a break... He was adamant about needing a pic of my ID so my husband and I were scrolling on our phones for 15 minutes looking for a picture of my ID. He refused a picture of my state ID but my husband found a picture of my passport. I also told him I had my reservation details available on my Marriott Bonvoy app. He accepted the picture of my passport and said, "Well, you should've showed me your reservation and that would've saved us a lot of trouble." Excuse me but you didn't offer that as an option??! When I was checking out a couple of hours later, he was available but I refused to get helped by him and waited for someone else to free up. Joey, I'm sorry you are working on Christmas but you don't have to ruin other people's holidays. Good luck to ya. read more

Huge hotel in downtown Boston. Great location, close to everything. The hotel nightly cost is quite expensive though for what you get. It is not really luxurious, more middle to upper. Lots of taxes and destination fees tacked on on top of your hotel room cost. Sorta hidden fees I would say which I don't really like. Take the Logan Express from the airport to get here. Super easy and free. Get off at Prudential stop and not Dartmouth (Google is wrong. Prudential is a much easier walk. Google says Dartmouth stop which is more desolate area.) To go from hotel back to airport is $3 on Logan Express Back Bay and you get a skip the line at the airport pass. Buy your $3 ticket online beforehand and show QR code to driver. He will give you a paper skip the line ticket for the shorter security line. Super easy and safe. read more
