Came here and ordered a double meal (didn't ask for price at time ) but when I went to pick up it was almost $30.. the cashier says the company has been forced to raise prices because of increase costs but it's nothing more than an opportunity to price gouge ... I'd guesstimate over 30%-40% increase ..apparently they raised prices twice in a six month period ... so if what they are claiming is true why haven't the prices at the other chicken spots in mira Mesa risen as dramatically (Popeyes, KFC, chick filet, Raising Cane's). These were quite literally the worst wings I have ever had. The skin was so overly crispy and hard you couldn't tell if you were chewing on a thin piece of bone, or skin. Came here for the first time and had an excellent experience. Great wings, nice people, really clean restaurant and bathrooms, lots of TVs, and very nice and covered patio! Definitely will be coming back. I had the medium buffalo and honey BBQ sauces. I liked the honey BBQ sauce even though I normally don't enjoy bbq sauces on wings. The medium buffalo was perfect. I really like this Epic Wings location. Been going here for nearly 3 years. My biggest gripe about this location is the lack of spice. I exclusively only get the pizza sticks. I always ask for "extra hot buffalo" as the sauce but I feel like they always give me mild, or medium at best.. Don't get me wrong, the pizza sticks are so good, but I'm always left disappointed because I never get the spice level I want. I just never break a sweat and I don't taste any spice at all. My partner really likes the tenderloin meal and says it's always on point - chicken tastes great, carrots and celery are fresh, breadsticks are amazing. I am extreme upset about this because I love trying different locations and there always good except this one. My #1 spot!!! I have been coming to this location for years and the food never fails to hit the spot. I've seen familiar faces of staff come and go over the years but they are always very nice and helpful if you ask for anything (even to change the channel to your favorite team). My whole family loves when I surprise them with food from Epic Wings too because their chicken is fresh and unparalleled to the competition in my opinion. Also if you enjoy having a beer while eating your wings this spot has beer on draft for a great price! "Blandly seasoned and hard wings." That would have been my review two months ago when I had the wings here for the first time. I gave them another try because my husband thought maybe it was a fluke last time, maybe just an off batch/night. Alas, tonight's meal was even more disappointing because the sweet chili wings, the lemon pepper wings and the Buffalo wings were all bland and hard. (What possessed my husband to get the family pack this time is beyond me...not really the point here) Note to headquarters, the SOP (standard operating procedure) needs to be re-examined to determine exactly how long to fry the wings so that they're not greasy hard rocks. Additionally look at the SOP and adjust it to figure out how much seasoning to use to get the most optimally seasoned wing. read more

I actually prefer the wings at Crab Hut, which are only 75 cents each at happy hour. Tried Strips in the honey BBQ sauce. They were a bit more moist due to their size, but too much breading for me. Too bad there's no grilled option. Breadsticks were nice and warm, but not very exciting. I miss the mustard sauce from Oscar's (O's). Wow is how I must start this review.... The delicate combo #1 is what did it for me those 3 chicken strip tenders so hot and juicy with that medium buffalo sauce you just really can't go wrong. I ordered two extra breadsticks and they were the most fresh delicate little pieces of bread my tastebuds have ever touched!!! The service was awesome with the workers being so kind and respectful to my love for this meal. If you go I recommend trying to cut the bread in half and stuff it with a chicken strip to make the perfect sandwich...... and don't get me started on that Coca Cola cherry wow really just pulls the meal together! 10 stars if I could this meal made my day and I hope it makes others. read more

This was a great choice for dinner last night. My boys and I were in RB and I was hungry. I hadn't had hot wings in a while, so off we went. We arrived around 5:20pm and it wasn't crowded at all. An order of double boneless wings was the perfect size for all of us. 10 boneless wings, 4 breadsticks, carrots, celery, and and two bleu cheese dressings..easy. Apparently the franchise operator of this location is to cheap to hire employees so he turns the phones off from 3:00pm-8:00pm So if your a busy person and want to place an order while your driving or trying to do other things you must STOP AND ORDER ONLINE and your are FORCED to sign up with OLO a 3rd party! What a HASSLE ! You cant even go through OLO if you need support they will tell you to call the restaurant how can you call the restaurant that has there phones off LOL? I normally order the chicken strips, but both the chicken tenders and wings are really yummy.I normally order the medium sauce with garlic and lemon pepper combined or sometimes separate. The bread sticks are really good especially when drenched with the Wings N Things sauce!! The location is in the heart of Carmel Mountain in the same shopping center near Home Depot and O's American Kitchen. I normally go to the Escondido and Mira Mesa location. This location I've been to as well a few times. I came here last Tuesday night and it was very busy, but was able to get a good seating area. There's plenty of tables and a little bar to enjoy along with TV's. I've taken two of my friends who have never been to Wings N Things and both thoroughly enjoyed their meal. Tried Wings N' Things in Carmel Mountain Ranch. It took me a few minutes of staring at the menu to understand how/what to order. It's actually pretty simple. I didn't notice much of the "things" part of the menu, but you basically select your chicken preference (tender or wing), then style and/or heat of sauce, etc. All comes standard with the carrots/celery/dressing/breadsticks... It was better than I expected and all very tasty. Wings were substantial and meaty... I'll tell ya, I typically prefer my chicken on a bone. It's always more tender, flavorful and succulent. Nice thing about their boneless strips is I could eat it with knife and fork. I appreciated not feeling like I had to take a shower when I was done! I just had an experience at epic wings and I'm not impressed . First of all the cashier didn't know what I was asking for and had to get another team member up to help him out . We got my order figured out finally, I had asked for extra chicken, which I did not receive . The cashier told me that they would send me a text with my food was ready . After 10 minutes I went in to the store and they had to look all over the place to find my food . I realize things are getting more expensive but when you pay for extra chicken you should get it and I'm not impressed in the portion size. We love this place as a family. They have kids meals and single meals and best of all, $10.50 pitchers of GOOD beer. I like the Hot wings with lemon pepper seasoning mixed in. Each meal is served with a side of ranch / bleu cheese and carrots / celery and garlic knots (bread). The high price of the meals is more than made up by the low price of the beer. I love the entire menu here! From the wings to the breadsticks to their pizza sticks, you literally cannot go wrong here. My favorite are the tenderloin strips (better than boneless if you don't want traditional wings) with lemon pepper and mild sauce. Such a great combo! Their breadsticks are to DIE for, and I find myself coming here way more than I should to get a "snack" of 12 breadsticks. Their traditional wings are great too. They have a large selection of sauces, but I think the original style, no matter the heat level, is still the best. If you haven't tried their pizza sticks you aren't living. It's the best of everything in the restaurant all in one item. Cover it in ranch and it is life-changing. Don't forget to grab one of their great Jones soda's on the side! My only complaint is that the breadsticks here aren't quite as buttery as the Mira Mesa location, but I do love that they are down the street from me. They will be seeing me often! read more
