Nice, cozy spot in Ashland. Tasty cocktails and meh food and service. Service was not great. Waited at least 15 minutes before being acknowledged by our server, Sabrina and it was not busy one bit. She did time the food accurately in regards to having enough time to eat our app before our dinners. She seemed uninterested in serving and was't so pleasant. We waited another 15 minutes before coming to pick up our credit card for payment. The food - I would not recommend their margarita pizza. It was terrible. Not enough cheese and had canned, diced tomatoes and chopped onions as the sauce. What kind of margarita pizza doesn't have fresh, sliced tomatoes? I felt like I was eating canned tomatoes and chopped onions on dough. The duck entree was OK. I probably wouldn't order it again as it didn't blow me away. The braised endives were a bit strange but the roasted pears were tasty. Arancini was delicious and so were the cocktails which were the redeeming part of the evening. read more

Last night was my second time visiting Erica's. the food was cooked to perfection. Last time, I ordered the shrimp and scallops with pasta and it was perfectly cooked. Not overdone like seafood usually is served. Last night I ordered the chicken with mushrooms and fontina cheese. Again cooked perfectly, not overdone like most chicken breasts are served. The roasted potatoes were crispy on the outside and creamy inside. The baby asparagus were grilled and still crispy, not soft. Our entrees were served hot and in a timely manner. Warm homemade focaccia bread with oil on the table. Warm berry bread pudding served with vanilla ice cream for dessertThe wait staff was friendly, helpful and efficient. We have been to Erica's Ristorante many times now. The food is consistently good and fresh. They don't load up the food with salt either and it isn't fussy. Not everything is coated in a heavy sauce.... the parpadelle with veal meatballs is excellent. I have been oogling Erica's Restaurant FB page foodie photos for sometime now - and we finally had the opportunity to make it up there last night! In summary - we loved it! First, they offer a Riesling from the Finger Lakes (thank you - we go there every year) and the apps were amazing -- we shared the ' PAPPARADELLE WITH VEAL MEATBALLS' and ' BRUSCHETTA' -- both were DELICIOUS! My daughter and husband both ordered the lasagna - WOW. Huge portions and absolutely delicious - someone from another table came over to take a picture of it so he would remember to order it next time! My future son-in-law (it was his birthday) had the ' BRAISED PORK SHANK' - another WOW! I had the 'SEAFOOD CAESAR' and they happily substituted olive oil and lemon for the dressing for me - the grilled shrimp, scallops, calamari were delicious! I wish I lived a little closer - I would be in there weekly - but, we will definitely be there again soon! read more

I came here with my boyfriend for Erica's Valentine's Day prix fixe 3 course - it was awesome! I made a reservation just in case so I recommend you do the same because they were starting to get busy by the time we got there. The owner/manager was very welcoming and we were sat immediately. Waters came to the table within 60 seconds of us sitting down. Our waitress came and she was absolutely lovely. I think her name was Roberta; she'd been there since the restaurant opened so she was very knowledgeable about the menu and made excellent and delicious suggestions. I could not have been happier with the service and food. The lamb lollipops, duck tortelloni, sirloin, lobster fettuccini, flourless chocolate cake and gelato were all to die for! Second time at Erica's last night and another great meal and service. I had chicken Milanese and the cutlets were thin and cooked perfectly. My sides were roasted potatoes and sautéed spinach. The food came out of the kitchen piping hot. Our server was awesome too. I am not an investor but a Ashland resident that really wants to see a revival in downtown Ashland so very happy that Erica's is part of Ashland. read more

Nice selection of new Italian cuisine. The cod special with tomatoes sautéed onion basil was baked just right. Not overly greasy - or dripping with sauce. Soup was tomato basil very thick with a chunk of toasted bread. Salad was mixed greens with cucumbers and grape tomatoes. Definitely would eat here again. Nice atmosphere read more

My husband and I tried to come here one Saturday but we were too late and it was packed! We tried again recently and sat at a high top in the bar area. We really enjoyed the whole experience! The staff are very friendly and the food and drinks were great too. We started with the stuffed mushrooms and then had the chicken, mushroom and spinach as well as the meatball sub. We topped off the meal with two cannolis which were tasty as well. I would definitely come back here - it's close to home, there is ample parking across the street, and the ambiance is fun and relaxing. We decided to go here after we realized this place occupies the building that used to be one of our favorite places a few years ago, Catch 22 Restaurant. We figured we would try it for an early dinner to celebrate my wife's birthday. Service was fairly good, pleasant and attentive servers. Freshly baked focaccia bread was served and there was a bottle of olive oil on the table to have with it. The bread was very good. My wife had the Spinach and Goat Cheese Ravioli, which was a good portion size and tasted pretty good. The sauce was delicious and the filling of the ravioli was well balanced. The goat cheese complimented the dish rather than overpowering it. I started with a cup of sausage soup which also was fairly good, loaded with chunks of sweet Italian sausage and what appeared to be fresh vegetables and some pasta noodles. Then came the Spaghetti and Meatballs that I ordered. It was a generous portion of spaghetti with three large meatballs in a tomato sauce. The spaghetti was not sauced prior to being plated, so it was kind of dry, and the meatballs were placed on top and covered in a rather bland and tasteless sauce. Our server grated some fresh cheese on it for me, but there was no helping that sauce. The meatballs were a soggy, mushy, bland mass of cooked ground meat (not sure if it was just beef or a combination of meats). I only ate half of it. I wouldn't recommend that dish. That was all we had so I can't comment on any other appetizers, salads, pasta dishes, entrees, pizza, or desserts. Might be worth a try if you're looking for something new, but I don't think we'll be back. read more

Fantastic new Italian restaurant in Ashland! I've been here a number of times since they've opened. It was very good on my first visit and every visit since they've continued to improve! Service was real delayed. Food was mediocre- bread was stale and hard. Chicken and asparagus didn't have much flavor. Salmon was tender though. Salad had a bit too much grease and not enough flavor but vegetables were fresh. I would try other places ahead of this one. read more

There are so many great reviews for Erica's. Yes, the food is good. But I'm going to balance my review based on food + customer service. I'm giving 3 stars based on my last few visits. But the service has been horrible. The common theme that I've seen is if you go as a large group they (i.e. servers and the owner) are very attentive. Even the owner comes to the table and inquires how everything is. However, the service for small groups is sub par. I've been there by myself and several times with my child/husband. You don't even get the drink that you ordered. The owner skip/ignore your table. I guess groups of two are not worth their time. I want to support local business, but based on this type of treatment, I have decided to never to bring my business to Erica's. read more

If this review is received in the manner intended, it will help your restaurant. The calamari appetizer was ok, but came out fast but not warm. The butternut squash ravioli was good. The risotto with seafood was a dissapointment. The risotto was not creamy but tasted like half cooked rice. It had no flavor whatsoever. The seafood was undercooked. The hostess when we arrived could not handle arrivals, she had to wait for her boss, the manager, who was expediting in the kitchen. When he arrived he handled the situation admirably. I come here all the time at this point. Food is always great! If you have never been, stacked eggplant is highly recommended but I haven't disliked anything that I have tried here. Kitchen does a great job and they are always coming up with unique specials. Erica's has become quite popular in the area. Hostess appeared miserable while seating us. Food was very good Loved the waitress..great attitude..But third time in there and third time I would rate service below average Wanted a pumpkin martini..no go..didnt have the ingredients..this should not be a difficult request. Owner, when asked to turn down music/tv, as we couldn't hear each other speak acted like we were bothering him. Service is very good - friendly all around. Food - not so great. My family and I have been twice and all meals, both times, just really bland. We all left saying,"eh" on both occasions and "disappointing", which is really too bad because we were so excited for it! We tried a variety of apps and eight different dishes so far and the only one we enjoyed was the mushroom pizza. We were expecting better, especially since this was an established restaurant elsewhere. The food really needs to be kicked up a notch. Very good food, salads are excellent especially their special that had last night-so fresh and glad it had bleu cheese than the standard Italian or Balsamic. I would love it if they made their own fresh bleau cheese dressing to their short list of dressings. Our third time going and will be back again. So nice to have another choice in Ashland for a great meal. Bartender had a bit of an attitude that irritated my husband- he felt as if she wasn't listening and would just run right over his conversation which did cause a misunderstanding of what he was trying to request, but we will certainly get over that faux pas. read more

I'll start with being able to get in right away on Friday night. Maybe no one really knows about this place as it lives in the shadows of another popular spot in Ashland. We got into a nice 4 top by the bar. Warm and cozy on a blustery night. I had a nice glass of Chianti at a reasonable price (imagine that!). My husband got a well poured martini. We started with the very delicious Parmesan cauliflower. Yum!!! We tried to deny the focaccia bread, but let's face it, too good to give up. My little bite turned into a whole slice. Oh well. It's worth it! Our waitress was very enthusiastic about our meals. My husband got the Cabonarra - true to form. It was very good. I ordered the chicken Milanese. Wow! Delicious. Breaded and cooked perfectly. It didn't drown in the sauce, and the roasted potatoes were actually cooked through! We were attended to well throughout our meal. We saw the owner rolling his sleeves up and lending helping hands. I'll be remembering to come here more often! read more

This is my new favorite local eating establishment. I've eaten there several times over the past couple of months, and every meal has been delicious. I am usually eating alone, so sit at the bar. Barkeeps are friendly and attentive. Atmosphere is comfortable, and buzzing on weekends. Where this restaurant really shines is the food. There are usually specials in addition to the regular menu. Some personal favorites: the focaccia bread served to all customers ordering a meal (with herb-flavored olive oil - yum!), the baked goat cheese appetizer, and the stacked eggplant (to die for - portion is large enough to have leftovers). We wanted to try out the new restaurant on Saturday night and support a local business, but the hostess ruined the experience before we could even sit down. The restaurant was less than half full. She wanted to seat us next to the loud kitchen. Despite our request for a different table she didn't offer any other options. I know it is because we were a party of two and better tables were set for four, but the place was practically empty. I don't think I'll be back. read more

We eat at Erica's a couple of times a week and have for the last year and a half. We always enjoy our meals in the bar area, it is lively, fun and never overly loud. I often dine with my parents who enjoy the excellent servers, the atmosphere, the local crowd and of course the fabulous always freshly prepared Italian style meals. And as of late the desert specials have been out of this world! It is great to have such a well run restaurant right here in town. We do our best to eat and shop local. read more

Do yourself a favor and check this place out - you won't be sorry! This place has a fantastic bar/ lounge area (big bar and a bunch of high top tables), as well as a separate dining area. There is a great patio, that will be awesome once the weather warms up too! The food was amazing, the prices were right on, and the service was great. We went on a Wednesday and there was a steady flow. We sat at the bar for dinner and drinks and the bartender was great - incredibly nice and helpful! We go to Erica's once sometimes twice a week. We love the food, especially the specials, and the homemade deserts are to die for. We eat at the bar all the time and just like the typical treatment and level of service you get at the bar. Plus it is always good to develop that customer / bartender relationship. We have lately noticed that the level of service at the bar has fallen off significantly. We got to know one of the bartenders Megan who in our opinion was spot on with greeting us promptly and taking/delivering our drink and food order quickly. We learned that Megan was let go to our disbelief. We are wondering in which direction the restaurant is going. We are also annoyed with the constant circling the bar of the bus help and owner (male) to a point we start timing them in a race. Also observed a couple occasions at the bar where the owner (male) had reprimanding the help in ear shot of many customers. This could of been done a bit more discretely. We found a few new restaurants in area that we will now give a try. This is not due to the food-which is fantastic, but because of some to the peripheral observations and the recent decline in service that we have experienced. I'm very disappointed in my experience here, I'm not one to go out of my way to say something negative though the two experiences I've had at this restaurant have required that I do so. I sampled this restaurant in hopes for a nice place to enjoy after work since I live so nearby. Both times my partner and I were grossly ignored, the first time we attempted to have a meal here we waited over 15 mins to receive a water, our drinks were delivered to the wrong table and it was impossible to figure out if we even had a waitress, but of course after the check arrived practically every employee asked us multiple time if they could help us wrap up. The second time we came in was just for an evening cocktail and our drinks stayed empty for far too long before my partner had to get up and ask for attention, where we were overcharged by a full drink, the bartender couldn't pay us any less attention if he tried. I travel a lot and have eaten at some of the best restaurants in the country. This was one of the best restaurants that I have been to. My husband had the Cod and he couldn't believe how well it was prepared. I am a Vegan and I had Braised Swiss Chard with White Beans and Polenta Bruchetta with Mushrooms. We were blown away! We didn't expect the food to be that amazing in this small town outside of Boston. The staff was attentive and even the owner removed some dishes and glasses from the table when needed. Ate here for the first time. A Saturday night- not very busy, 6:30. The server in the bar area was solo ( the dining room was busy so we were asked if we wanted to sit in the bar area). Took a while for her to acknowledge us. She was not very friendly- you could tell she was " in the weeds" ( restaurant talk for extremely busy). Food was mediocre. $13.95 for an antipasto appetizer that consisted of 3 slices of salami, olives, and mozzarella balls. Salmon was wonderful!!! Server never asked if I wanted another glass of wine until the end of the meal. We thought we'd give this place a try last Saturday night. We like to sit at the bar. A warm, inviting bar area. There were 2 of us. We had a shrimp appetizer and soup. Both were delicious.
