2nd time ordering takeout from Eric's and had a pretty consistent experience as last time. Food was hot and cooked well. The sesame beef was the best especially paired with the beef fried rice. Chow mein was tender and beef wasn't chewy. Prawns and veggies were our least favorite, they needed more seasoning. Tasted even better the next day!

Mongolian beef, General Tso chicken and mixed fried rice.

I've gone there many times and the food and service is always 5 stars and I'm always happy to bring friends there to eat.

Tonight is the second time I've picked up takeout from Eric's and the order was wrong. I ordered Brown rice and hot white rice again. I even confirmed when I picked up my order that I ordered brown rice. This is unacceptable and crummy service.

This is by far my favorite restaurant! The food is always good and the service is always fast. I've been going here for more than 20 years now. They've won a Michelin star and Michelin acknowledgment. Plus award from Yelp, Zagnut, and a bunch of other food rating websites. Everyone I've taken here love this place! Definitely, we're checking out!

Pretty good Chinese restaurant in the now valley neighborhood. We stopped by Friday for the lunch specials and got the fried fish and eggplant lunch specials. Pretty generous portions and it came with egg flower soup. Service was fast and restaurant is much nicer than a traditional hole in the wall Chinese restaurant, but also $2-$3 more expensive than typical Chinese food.

My wife and I live in San Mateo County and travel to the City for Chinese food. The restaurant we go to is Eric's and it's Hunan & Mandarin cuisine. I have been going to Eric's for close to 30 years and it's still Fabulous. We had ordered honey walnut prawns, beef asparagus, vegetable fried rice, sweet & sour chicken, pot stickers and egg rolls. The food is made with all fresh ingredients and the taste and flavors are simply to savor. I only like to dine in and don't do take out at Asian restaurants. I'm not one who likes his food to get soggy from the steam in close containers. I assure you. That you will love it's variety of different dishes and it's quaint ambiance.

I had steamed mussels with fries. There were not enough mussels because they were huge and the sauce was more a broth and not at all flavorful enough. I usually love sopping up every last drop of the juice. But the really disappointing aspect of our dinner was the service. There were 3 people behind the service station. All of them need a training course on how to pay attention to paying customers. Instead they were all engrossed in private conversation with each other or with one particular customer. And one of the staff was simply intimidating, and very very loud. I suspected his behavior may have been chemically induced. Our waitress was very sweet, cheerful and helpful when we could catch her attention. But as I said a 15 minute training exercise each evening before starting work would work wonders. Like look around each customer every time you are not doing anything. And the more senior staff member was just uninterested and perhaps a little grumpy. So the food was blah, more flavor in the broth would help, and ok but at today's prices a "dinner out" has to be about more than just the food.

It wasn't awful but it was hard to eat after the clam chowder and fettuccine. It was tomatoey. Calamari was also just okay. I wish they would have added a different type of sauce to dip it in. The marinara sauce doesn't pair well with it. Clam chowder was just as good as I remember. I would come back over and over for the clam chowder. I was very impressed with how good their latte was. I did find a place where no meat would be available in SF . Once I started thinking of this place I started to map out hella meal possibilities with me creating dishes like San Francisco's native dish Cioppino and also making some salmon dishes along with some okay shrimp dishes like fried shrimp, skewer shrimps on the barbie, and scallop ceviche. The real feast on Good Friday would be getting the Dungeness Crab paired with some garlic noodles . This place has been a Mission District seafood institution and it's called Sun Fat Seafood company ( a former employee started Basa Seafood Express on 24th street). On a Spring stroll on Mission street between 22nd and 23rd streets I went inside a fresh seafood market. Inside you will see live lobsters in a tank. You will also see Dungeness Crab during crab season and also find of variety of fresh oysters selection along with scallops.
