Regent Thai is always the best place to go to if you're craving thai food. Amazing food, the ambience is great, and the service is even better. The Staff is A+! Super sweet and will make you smile/laugh! lol. Thank you to our waiters Birdy and Celine. You make this place great! The pumpkin curry is my favorite :)

Our company had a Going Away Lunch for a fellow worker. Our Director of Finance chose Regent That Restaurant. It wasa very good choice. Although I drove there with my VP, it is within walking distance of the office. Next time I go, I will definitely walk. Especially now that the weather is nicer. I can't remember what everyone had, but I'll review what I remember. For the table we ordered the Pad Mun (fried crab cakes). That was liked by everyone. The Deep Fried Spring Rolls were also a hit--very good. I had the Pad Khring (chicken) and it was excellent. The chicken was tender and the veggies were crisp. The zing of ginger is what put it over the the top. I usually order something like this my first time at a Thai place. If they get it right, I have faith that they can do well with other dishes. Now for the pics.

Regent thai was a quick easy take out spot on a random weekday night. This is not reminiscent of the most authentic flavors I've had, but is still delicious. I ordered pad see ew which I devoured before taking a picture that was quote flavorful but definitely leaned on the sweeter side. The gaeng phed pedal yang was a duck red curry that was very creamy and delicious, but not that spicy at all despite me asking for medium 2 chili peppers on the menu. Additionally if you want to order rice you need to order it separately so I'd say the value is just okay for the price.

Between a place you would go out to and a neighborhood place. Could not tell if the food was proper Thai in that we did not have my usual. It was nice nevertheless. I would come back.

Came in with a girlfriend for the lunch special. It's a really cute corner place, lots of natural daylight & the decor is simple, yet elegant. I ordered the lunch special tofu pad ma kuer & asked w soft tofu and vegan. Maybe because I asked for the dish to be changed, I found it tasting plain. There was not much flavor in my dish. The waitress was very sweet and I will give this place another try. Wanted to split our bill & were asked to pay with one card. CC accepted

Nice little neighborhood spot. I've been going here for years. It has had its ups and downs the past few years. I think if ownership changed but I don't know for sure. I wouldn't say it is a place you'd drive crosstown to eat at but if you're in NoeValley it's good. Very clean and the inside has been fixed up. I think I they could use more waiters. Only one waiter and the kitchen staff had to help her out. But everyone was friendly. Went for lunch with a pal and the veggie pad Thai and chicken satay were both tasty . Try it if you're looking for a pleasant lunch in Noe.

    Pra ram pak with tofu

This place was clean and inviting. We were seated pretty quickly for Saturday dinner service around 6pm. I ordered the pra ram with brown rice, which has been a favorite dish of mine for years. This was my first time trying it here. The veggies were cooked perfectly and the rice came out shaped like a heart. My protein was tofu and I was a little disappointed in the flavor and counted (only) five bites of tofu. The peanut sauce was a light flavor and it could have been bolder. Overall, it was a good experience but not very memorable.

Quaint little spot in the mission~ Food was good and they are able to accommodate big groups of people as long as you have reservation ahead of time. Decor was very cute and servers would regularly come up to us to checkin. They have a good selection of vegetarian items and can make a lot of stuff veg. They also had chips and a little dipping sauce in the beginning but unfortunately they are shrimp chips :( I got pad kee mao which was really good the flavor was def there they didn't come to play with the seasonings! and veggies were charred as well. Food came out relatively fast and they had little tamarind candies on their way out which were so delicious and a perfect mouth refresher. Prices were pretty good but I guess for the portion size it was accurate.

    * date visited: 08.07.2024 * ordered: nuer gra prow service was super attentive and they were very kind, we had a large group and they were able to accommodate us well which was appreciated! the flavors of my dish were really good, i added some extra chili flakes but even without the addition, the dish was dimensional -- spicy, slightly sour, savory. the lemongrass, basil, and bell peppers added a lot of bright elements to the dish. the beef itself was not as tender as i would've hoped for and the portion was quite small for the price.

Love trying new Thai spots and this restaurant was on my list! I really like the pricing and plating but the portions felt a little small. Food also was a bit underwhelming with spice, even after adding chili flakes and paste it did not increase spice much. I like the meat and how they don't charge additional for beef. Tastes good, but was expecting larger portions because it's Thai food and I was still hungry after.

Every bite and sip was delicious. We ordered family style and shared everything. The service was also fantastic, even though we got there late and didn't realize until the food was beginning to come out that it was last call, our server and all the other workers that came by were all so friendly and made us feel welcome. We ate quickly and boxed the rest so they could get home. What we ordered: Tom Kha soup - coconutty, creamy, a lil sour and a lil spice. Delicious. Fresh rolls - crisp and springy with lots of greens and tofu and a good peanut sauce to dip. Crispy pork belly sweet basil - the CRISP and flavor of this pork belly was to die for. Chicken larb - this was my favorite dish of the night. Heavy basil/herbs, just a little kick from the chilies, full on flavor explosion. I will be thinking of this dish for a long time haha. Beef Pad See Ew - chewy in the most delicious and favor packed way. Love pad see ew and this one was great! Pad cha scallop - Came out sizzling on a cast iron! This dish was fun and the scallops while small, were fresh and had lots of flavor. And finally, for dessert we ordered the black rice durian. It was all three of us' first time trying Durian and we loved it! Creamy and a little funky but the black rice and sauce emphasized its natural sweetness. Thank you to everyone at Saap Ver for adding to my besties birthday happiness! Can't wait to come back.

The inside of the restaurant was quite lively, even though it was pretty early in the evening. The decorations were very colorful, and the atmosphere felt lively. Service was fine, but the food did take awhile to get to us. We ended up ordering crispy pork, duck curry, pad thai, and fried rice (sorry don't remember which fried rice in particular). I think the pad thai and fried rice were a bit light in flavor, but the curry and crispy pork were really yummy! The duck curry kinda took me by surprise because of the lychee haha I wish the portions were bigger, but great taste.

The inside is tiny, but quite stunning, clean, and gives a lot of opportunities for insta-worthy pics 4.9/5, I only wish there had been an actual photo wall. Now to the food. The crispy spring rolls were cooked perfectly, and seasoned well. The clear noodles and veggies were so yummy. I asked for soy sauce because that's what I prefer over sweet sauce, but honestly they needed nothing 4.8/5. The ahi scoops had the best seaweed salad on it that I have EVER had, the wasabi cream on top was the show stopper, and I don't even like wasabi 5/5. The interior is well decorated with Thai culture and with the darker tones of the design, it makes the restaurant feel quite fancy. 4.5/5 - Crispy Pork (Moo Krop) Fried Rice - Very savory fried rice dish. Spiced well and very filling. We didn't expect the pork to be cut so large and mixed into the rice, but it was very tender and easy to still eat. We would've expected the pork to be sliced maybe in half or fourths to make the dish feel like a "pork fried rice" than a fried rice + pork mix, but it still worked well and if you love pork, this will definitely be your fix! 5/5 - Pad Thai - We thought the restaurant nailed this classic noodle dish. Filling portions and did not overcook their noodles. You can taste each component of the dish, which speaks to everything not being under or overcooked. We ordered nuts on the side but you would be quite satisfied ordering this if you like pad thai! 4.5/5 - Pad Gra Prow - Appropriate veggie to beef proportion and very flavorful. Minced well and great to complement with your carb dishes (noodle or rice). We thought the dish was slightly oily but it feels well absorbed when eaten with our pad thai. If you have tried the dish before and would like it, this will be satisfactory!

#3 chicken set with Coconut dessert. $26.01 not including tip…read more There is an art to living life where the order of experiences impact each other synergistically. When it comes to food, we all already know that dessert comes last as to cleanse the palette, but what about when it comes to an arrangement like this? I was on a quest to discover the cosmic order that transcended preference. I am not a scientist, but I know when a couple meets, 1+1=4. Peanut butter + jelly are way better together instead of by themselves. There was more than to these 6 dishes served individually as they were served together to create a far greater experience. Chicken & rice is a classic combo that really transcends cultures. I ended up pouring my "Thai Massaman Peanut curry with chicken" on the rice. The rice really soaked up the juices, it was so good. Next, my mouth experienced contrast therapy. It experienced a nice sauna from the hot chicken curry and took a cold plunge from the "Central Thai-style green papaya salad". The one thing that I could not understand was the "Thai coconut mushroom soup". It was sour and really interrupted my contrast therapy. Next time, I'll figure that out. The "Sautéed Butternut Squash" you could really eat in between everything. It complimented the chicken as something savory. When I wanted a break from the chicken, I took a stab at the squash. The "Homemade Pudding" was ate at the end and it was OK. I got the Coconut, but the sugar tasted off. I am very picky with sugar, I cannot have any processed sugar, I cut that stuff out 5 years ago and life could never be better. Overall, the mystery really turned this into a 5/5 experience. The "Homemade pudding" despite being ok, still did its job of cleansing the palette. With regards to the "Thai coconut mushroom soup", I just didn't understand the art. Whoever does understand the art or who has written a book about it, please please refer it to me.
