SF Restaurant week is sometimes about the pop-ups and soft openings which are occurring around San Francisco. One soft opening in particular was here years ago and reappeared. It was always a hidden gem in Noe Valley on 24th street on Douglas a block up from Diamond street . Rin Thai use to have some good duck curry back in the days. Today the duck curry wasn't available so I decided to get the chicken curry . The true litmus test of a good Thai restaurant is trying their curry chicken. The curry chicken was aromatic and delicious. I then got the Mango sticky rice .The rice was tender and the mango was really juicy and ripe. SF Restaurant week ends tomorrow on Sunday April 13 but it is also the start of Thai New Year also known as the Songkran Festival. The same day of the next Full Moon known as the Pink Moon. Feels like a White Lotus Season 3 episode ( although I like The White Lotus Season 2 better). SF Restaurant week started on April 4 with a Rin's Thai soft launch notice so I went to get some Thai Food because of the paused tariffs on Thai goods by POTUS Then there something this past week that I started to notice were people craving Thai Food because of the Season 3 Finale of The White Lotus

Today 8/-2/2025 I came here for the second time . First I came here like 5 years ago and I didn't have a good experience . I came here here again to try them out again . It was a bad decision. Unfortunately , my experience was a letdown. Here's a breakdown of what went wrong: - *Tuk Tuk ( 3 Layers of Happiness Drink) *: The presentation was nice, but the drink lacked flavor and didn't contain any alcohol. It didn't meet my expectations even half way . - *Fried Calamari*: The dish arrived on a broken plate, and the portion was extremely small. The calamari was dried out and tasteless. - *Chicken Pad Thai*: While the presentation was good, the portion was small, and the dish was mushy and soggy. As a classic Thai dish, I expected better. Considering the high price point ($50 for the meal), I was disappointed with the quality and portion sizes. The customer service was great, and the restaurant was clean, but that's not enough to redeem the food. Unless they revamp their menu and cooking techniques, I wouldn't recommend wasting your time and money. It was my second and last visit. Potential customers should think twice before dining here.

Me and my family came across this hidden gem after spending times at the playground across the street. It was our first time here and loved everything. The ambience was cozy and nice, the menu gave us right amount of Thai dishes we have been craving for, not too much and not less. We tried BBQ pork jowl, Duo Fried, Dessert Platter and Rin's Beef. They were all flavorful and simply delicious. Especially Rin's Beef dish, it was tooooo good we forgot to take a photo lol. To sum up, worth stopping by and giving it a try. Yummy Thai food with super nice service, pleasant ambience in a very nice neighborhood.

Once again, Rin's manages to completely exceed my expectations in providing the best Thai food and best experience. The service is amazingly quick, the interior is beautifully decorated, and the food? Wow. My last review details our go-to orders and once again, these dishes did not disappoint. I have to give special mention to/ rave about the mango sticky rice, which is simply mouth-watering. When splitting the dessert with a group it's tough not to grab the bowl and devour it all yourself. The black rice (which I have not seen any other place use) is textured and unique, the mango and condensed milk provide creamy fresh sweetness, and the sesame seeds and crispy flakes atop add the perfect complement to the soft textures of the dish. I would eat it every day if I could.

Yummy! Pad See Ew, Spicy Eggplant & aside a jasmine rice was what we had last Friday night. Super clean very tasty dishes. Service was nice, but it was close at 9 PM and reviews said they closed at 10 PM. That was not the case... The staff were waiting to get out of there; Oh well, we did not know and they did not tell us until after we ordered. We were the only couple in the restaurant, so it was very quiet and enjoyable.

I only knocked the restaurant down by a star because the servers were pretty pushy with wanting us to leave despite the multitude of empty tables around us. Besides that, the food is really delicious. The papaya salad is amazing if you like spice! There was a great kick and acidity to the papaya salad distributed throughout the fresh vegetables in the dish. I highly recommend! The pumpkin fries were also a great choice: crispy fry with soft pumpkin inside, maintaining the overall pumpkin flavor profile. The sauce they provide on the side (sweet and sour plum sauce), cut through the fry but didn't overwhelm the pumpkin itself. For myself, I got the yellow curry with chicken. The curry dishes do not come with rice, so you will have to order that on the side. The curry is not only a generous portion, but FULL of ingredients. They do not skimp on the meat, potatoes, etc. Highly recommend trying Farmhouse Kitchen for some flavorful Thai dishes!

Every bite and sip was delicious. We ordered family style and shared everything. The service was also fantastic, even though we got there late and didn't realize until the food was beginning to come out that it was last call, our server and all the other workers that came by were all so friendly and made us feel welcome. We ate quickly and boxed the rest so they could get home. What we ordered: Tom Kha soup - coconutty, creamy, a lil sour and a lil spice. Delicious. Fresh rolls - crisp and springy with lots of greens and tofu and a good peanut sauce to dip. Crispy pork belly sweet basil - the CRISP and flavor of this pork belly was to die for. Chicken larb - this was my favorite dish of the night. Heavy basil/herbs, just a little kick from the chilies, full on flavor explosion. I will be thinking of this dish for a long time haha. Beef Pad See Ew - chewy in the most delicious and favor packed way. Love pad see ew and this one was great! Pad cha scallop - Came out sizzling on a cast iron! This dish was fun and the scallops while small, were fresh and had lots of flavor. And finally, for dessert we ordered the black rice durian. It was all three of us' first time trying Durian and we loved it! Creamy and a little funky but the black rice and sauce emphasized its natural sweetness. Thank you to everyone at Saap Ver for adding to my besties birthday happiness! Can't wait to come back.

Fatty pork belly goes very well with the lighter vegetables. The service was very good. The workers were very nice. The inside was cool with a modern design. At the entrance, one of the hosts, who I believe was named Victor, was extremely rude about our stroller. We were told that we could not bring the stroller inside, which we were willing to accept. However, instead of politely asking us to unlock it or move it ourselves, he physically blocked my wife while she was holding our baby and then forcefully tried to push the stroller himself. The stroller was locked at the time, and if I had not stepped in quickly to stop him and unlock it, it could have been damaged. His behavior was aggressive, careless, and completely inappropriate, especially toward a family with an infant. He then moved our stroller to a storage area in the back. Later, because the restaurant was extremely loud and our baby started crying, we wanted to get a toy from the stroller to comfort our child. At first, the same host refused and again physically blocked my wife. Only after we repeatedly asked were we finally allowed to retrieve the toy from our own stroller. After we sat down and were preparing to order, our baby was still crying because the noise level inside the restaurant was extremely high. A female server, who I believe was named Katie, made us feel extremely uncomfortable, unwelcome, and singled out. She first appeared to whisper with the host while looking at us, which made us feel judged and disrespected. Then, in front of us, she told my wife to take our crying baby outside. I questioned why we were being targeted when the restaurant itself was already very loud, with many guests speaking loudly around us. She claimed this was the restaurant's "policy," but when I asked to see the policy, she could not provide it. What made the situation even worse was the attitude. Instead of showing basic empathy or professionalism toward a family with a baby, some staff members were dismissive, arrogant, and treated us in a way that made us feel discriminated against, humiliated, and unwelcome as a family with a baby. I have never experienced this kind of service at a restaurant before, especially not at a restaurant with Michelin-level pricing and expectations. To be fair, the Asian server who later took our order was polite and professional. However, by that point, the overall experience had already been ruined. The food itself was only average in my opinion and did not feel worth the nearly $200 we spent for two people. It definitely did not meet the standard I would expect from a Michelin-recognized restaurant. I will not return, and I would strongly caution families with babies or young children to think twice before dining here. Some of the staff's attitude toward families was unacceptable, and our experience made us feel deeply disrespected. Ratings: Food: 2/5 Service: 1/5 Atmosphere: 1/5 Overall: 1/5

Spiced well and very filling. We didn't expect the pork to be cut so large and mixed into the rice, but it was very tender and easy to still eat. We would've expected the pork to be sliced maybe in half or fourths to make the dish feel like a "pork fried rice" than a fried rice + pork mix, but it still worked well and if you love pork, this will definitely be your fix! 5/5 - Pad Thai - We thought the restaurant nailed this classic noodle dish.
