    Calm Chowder

I ordered to go. Everything was delicious and package accordingly. It did not take long at all. I really enjoyed the bread quality and freshness of veggies. Clam chowder sourdough bowl was a great consistency and had plenty of flavor.

Never had a bad meal here. They seem to add new menu items and they're always great to try. The staff is pleasant and efficient. The bathrooms are always clean. I have only good things to say after eating at several Erik's over the years. I have a few favorites like Abbotts Habit and Raging Bull! I had the Raging Bull well my guest chose a new item called the Italian Job. This is reminiscent of the Italian subs we eat in Boston!

Today was our first time trying Erik's. I had a recommendation from a friend and we decided to check it out. We were happy to see that wheat was not listed as an allergen in the Chowder so my wife was able to enjoy a bowl. We were both happy with the soup and I like the sandwich. The service was top notch and the food great. This locator was very clean, the counter looked great, and the price is very reasonable. I also tried some Carrot cake. It was a classic carrot cake, moist and the cream cheese frosting was tasty. Give them a try.

    Barnbuster, blah

There was 4 employees total. 1 on break, 1 in back and 2 making sandwiches. There was 2 people in front of us each getting one sandwich. The employees had no move with a purpose. The girl came off break and the guy went on break. Instead of her making the orders she went to the other employee making sandwiches and was just lolligagging chatting for about 8 minutes before she started making sandwiches. It took about a half hour to get our order. I ordered a raging bull and barn buster. Not much to the barnbuster, no flavor and got jipped on the meat. The raging bull was nasty but about half the meat as normal.

Half sandwich combo. Chicken pesto and clam chowder

Had a half sandwich combo. Pesto chicken and clam chowder. Pesto was on point and the clam chowder was good very creamy and nice pieces of clam and potatos just lack a little bit of favor. All together semi bussin!

I've heard so much about this legendary, family-owned deli and market. I couldn't decide between a hot or cold sandwich, so I got both the Meatball Sandwich and the Roast Beef Sandwich on Dutch Crunch bread. These sandwiches were hefty and hit the spot. The meatballs were savory, and I loved that the bread soaked up the juices and tomato sauce. It was my first time trying The Dutch Crunch bread. The crispy, mottled outside and soft inside made for a fun textured sandwich. It didn't taste any different, but I thought the crackled crust was so unique. Service was friendly and efficient. She gave great recommendations for sandwiches. The market was handy to grab road trip snacks. I'd definitely come back when I'm in the area.

The place is very cute little mom and Pop shop. they have cake slices of cakes, other pastries, and also coffee that you can purchase from them also as well as cookies. We came back on Sunday 10 minutes before our pick up time and the owner was already in there waiting for us to come pick up the cake. To say I am disappointed in the $70 Birthday cake my husband purchased is an understatement…read more He ordered a lemon cake with raspberry preserves with buttercream icing. What we received was a dry cake with hardly any flavor. My Mother thought it was just a yellow cake, she couldn't even taste the lemon. And she is an experienced baker. She made our lemon and raspberry wedding cake, that my husband was trying to recreate. The raspberry "preserves" were gelatinous, like pie filling from a can. Preserves should be a jam like consistency, only with larger fruit pieces. But sadly, this was goopy and artificial tasting. And the buttercream was greasy, not creamy, like it was made from Crisco shortening (not butter), sugar and water. It didn't even have any flavor (maybe they forgot to put vanilla extract in it?) Even the construction of the cake was poor. They clearly didn't put enough batter in the pans. Normally you shave the rounded top off to make it flat. This bakery just added tons of icing in an attempt to make up for the rounded edges. Which also meant there were barely any raspberry "preserves" in between the layers. And last but not least. When my husband special ordered the cake (in person) he asked for white sprinkles. When he arrived to pick up the cake, it wasn't ready. And they told him they didn't have white sprinkles. And offered to cover the entire cake in tiny rock hard pearls, that are typically only used sparingly for decorative purposes. Because they are so hard, many decorators recommend removing them before eating! My Dad bit into it and said it was like trying to eat buck shot. My Father has never met a cake or sweet he didn't like, until now. He didn't want another piece during his entire visit. My mother and I didn't even finish our first piece. To charge $70 for this 8" cake was just criminal. I would have returned it if I could.

Hence, began Gayle's search for a salad starting at this Santa Fe Market. This is a nice store that caters more to the Hispanic market. I've had the carne asada fries weekly, sometimes a couple of times a week when I used to work at one of the auto dealers around the corner from them and used to rave about them to family and friends. We stopped there to get dinner tonight, and I got the usual carne asada fries and was so disappointed. They've replaced the regular french fries with shoe string fries which have no substance to them and were not cooked all the way. The carne asada was so well done and chewy that I had to pull some pieces out of my mouth to spit them out and overall it had a very sour taste to the dish, and the amount of cheese and sour cream were nearly non-existent AND finally the container was no longer needing a rubber band to hold it closed like it has for the past 6 years that I've gotten the carne asada fries for lunch, it was about half full. I used to be able to either take home leftovers and have them for dinner or snack on them the rest of my workday, not any longer, now for $15.95 they give a half sized portion of absolute YUCK. What a complete disappointment. I definitely won't be shopping there again. Even their guacamole or Pico de gallo was brown in the cabinet, YUCK! They have really cheeped out on their hot deli foods, unfortunately.
