Ate a few slices already. The slices are huge
    Jeff C.

Amazing pizza exactly what I was looking for. We ordered 4 slices. One slice was two slices basically for a large pizza so 4 slices basically filled the large pizza box. Very limited seating here but just walk a block and go eat at the park. Service was great and very fast.

WOW they call that one slice??? It really is two slices and when it was served I thought I would never finish it but it was so good I at the entire thing! It is a tourist hot spot, and was super crowded but people sat with strangers and everyone was having a great time talking, laughing and eating! Thanks, Ernesto's, for feeding the masses as we walked the Freedom Trail!

I'd be doing a great disservice to not remind Bostonians and inform Visitors where I have believed for years the North End's best pizza slices are to be found.

Boston native and have never stopped in until now. Great pizza and quick line. Pro tip: a "slice" of pizza is actually 2 slices. For an inflationary economy, $6 is not a bad deal at all and I believe it was just recently raised from $4 from the posted Yelp menu pics. They also offer beer and wine for great prices. Not sure it's the "best pizza in the U.S." as they claim but it's pretty darn good.

We were exploring North End and needed a snack for later and decided to stop by and get some slices. We got the eggplant pizza to go and it was good. A good option if you want something and quick and with good flavor.

cheese pizza - technically one slice

Solid pizza in North End! One slice is actually two slices so keep that in mind when ordering. With the big portions, it is a pretty good and delicious deal. I tried the classic cheese pizza and it was enjoyable. The crust was crispy and there was lots of cheese.

Ernesto's is always our go to for an affordable and delicious pepperoni pizza! Pizzas are always ready within 10 minutes and the slices are HUGE - for 2 people we always split it into 2 meals haha so you can call it meal prep

2 slices of pepperoni and a pepsi

I stumbled on this hole in the wall pizza place while walking around. I figured a quick slice sounds good right now. Didn't expect much. I am happy i stopped. The sauce and crust were amazing. Its a bit greasy but thats how i like it. Stop on by and get a slice! Oh and i dont know if its a combo or something but when you order a slice and a drink, they give you 2 slices. Amazing! And this place gets crowded so the pizza is always coming out the oven fresh. 10/10 i will be coming again

Pretty solid place for pizza. I have no idea what I got. I asked for two of their most popular and I don't remember what they gave us but one was pepperoni and one was alfredo based. It comes with two giant slices. It was pretty good. Just wanted to try some Boston pizza. We weren't feeling the alfredo one as much but definitely check them out.

I've heard of Ernesto's as a phenomenal pizza place that is a must hit when in the north end area. And it definitely didn't disappoint. The building wasn't too big but had a couple tables. Me and my buddies grabbed 2 tables and went up to order, the line took about 5 minutes as they were extremely fast and the pizza was already made. Even though the pizza was already made it was delicious. When it comes to ordering out I'm usually pretty easy and simple. I got the standard cheese but my group got a variety of flavors and everyone said it was unreal. But since the pizza was premade they just had to reheat it but you would never be able to tell the difference. I was very impressed and would definitely go back. A cool place to hit when walking through the north end! Also pro tip when ordering by the slice they will give you two slices when ordering one, which explains why a "slice" costs 7 dollars.

As tables became available, they would call people inside. I ended up at a small table by the bar area. I ordered a small chicken and prosciutto pizza. It was excellent and perfectly cooked as promised. The flavor combination was great: prosciutto, chicken, spinach, ricotta, roasted peppers, sauce, and mozzarella. So big I couldn't finish it. (Hubby was happy because he got to try something too when I got back.) In terms of service, it's the north end so a little brusque, but you'll be happy you came.

1 star First off,…read morethe pizza we received was super oily and I had to use about 10 napkins to make it edible. We ordered a pizza by phone during the St. Anthony Feast, and the woman who took our order was curt and rude from the start -- I chalked it up to the festival rush. But it got worse when we picked up. We paid $32 for a pizza and asked if we could sit inside to eat it and there were plenty of available tables. We were told no -- inside is table service only, and takeout means you take it and eat elsewhere. Fine, except there was nowhere to sit outside at the festival. When we asked about using one of their own outdoor tables (they had roughly 30, and it was 11:15am, 45 minutes before the festival even started, so the tables were empty), we were told those were reserved for table-service customers only. This was after we'd already spent $32 in their restaurant. Regina's has been around for 100 years, but somewhere along the way they stopped caring about basic hospitality. Paying customers with nowhere to eat their food shouldn't be treated as an inconvenience. We won't be back.

I decided to go with the Wicked Pesto Pizza. It came with the signature crust, pesto base, grilled chicken, blue cheese, asiago, and fresh garlic. The driver dropped it off in front of the building and I picked it up. After first trying it, I was not impressed. It was very hard and dry. I had to reheat it in the microwave for it to be edible. I was expecting a delicious pizza packed with flavor. Instead I got something that I had to force myself to eat. I know Boston is not known for their pizza but I was expecting something halfway decent. If it was not for the Uber Eats discount I would have been upset with spending the cash. Next time I will try to check out some other spots for a slice of pizza.

Even though I was born and raised in the Boston area and have resided here for the entirety of my three decade long life, I've never had the original Santarpio's pizza until just now. I remember eating at their second location on Route 1 not long after it opened, but I thought it was just okay. Ever since then I've always thought to myself, "the original has gotta be better, right?" Well, my boyfriend and I finally made our way to the original Santarpio's on a Saturday a little after noon. The place isn't much to look at but was hopping for the weekend lunch rush with almost every table full, and we got put in what appeared to be one of the last available tables in the place. Our order was taken very quickly after sitting down. The menu is strictly pizza with around a dozen toppings to choose from and a handful of grilled meats. That's it. We ordered a pizza with garlic and hot peppers as well as a steak tip skewer. The steak tips were juicy and cooked nicely, but they tasted like they lacked seasoning or marinade so I had to sprinkle some salt and pepper on them. Of course, the pizza is what we were really there for and I can tell you that it checks all the boxes for a classic pizza. The crust is on the thinner, crispier side which I actually prefer. The pie as a whole had a great color and good flavor between the cheese, sauce and toppings. After experiencing it for myself, it's pretty easy to understand why Santarpio's is so highly regarded in the world of pizza. They stick to what they know and they execute it well.

We had the meat lover's pie and oh my. Wgat a delicious fusion animals, cheese, tomatoes and crust. The taste took me back to a pizza I had many years ago at a place in Cambridge--in a great way! They only sell whole pies, which at first seemed annoying (the first time I tried coming here a few years ago I was by myself and couldn't eat a whole pizza alone) so I had to make this my inaugural tasting). But I see that as ensuring you are only eating a fresh product, where all the ingredients cook into each other and come out hot and ready, instead or something reheated from four hours ago because the day was slow. The menu is simple: pizzas and meat skewers. They know what they do well and lean into it hard. The ambiance has a rustic feel, with tall, weathered wooden booths that make eating a close experience, so please bring people you really like! The servers are present but not hovering and checked on us with the kind of frequency that says, "yeah we should let you eat but not forget you are there." I will be back for sure.
