5 STARS!!! The pizza tastes great! Also, each slice is huge! They're really two slices!!

WOW they call that one slice??? It really is two slices and when it was served I thought I would never finish it but it was so good I at the entire thing! It is a tourist hot spot, and was super crowded but people sat with strangers and everyone was having a great time talking, laughing and eating! Thanks, Ernesto's, for feeding the masses as we walked the Freedom Trail!

I'd be doing a great disservice to not remind Bostonians and inform Visitors where I have believed for years the North End's best pizza slices are to be found.

Ernesto's is always our go to for an affordable and delicious pepperoni pizza! Pizzas are always ready within 10 minutes and the slices are HUGE - for 2 people we always split it into 2 meals haha so you can call it meal prep

Boston native and have never stopped in until now. Great pizza and quick line. Pro tip: a "slice" of pizza is actually 2 slices. For an inflationary economy, $6 is not a bad deal at all and I believe it was just recently raised from $4 from the posted Yelp menu pics. They also offer beer and wine for great prices. Not sure it's the "best pizza in the U.S." as they claim but it's pretty darn good.

We were exploring North End and needed a snack for later and decided to stop by and get some slices. We got the eggplant pizza to go and it was good. A good option if you want something and quick and with good flavor.

cheese pizza - technically one slice

Solid pizza in North End! One slice is actually two slices so keep that in mind when ordering. With the big portions, it is a pretty good and delicious deal. I tried the classic cheese pizza and it was enjoyable. The crust was crispy and there was lots of cheese.

Pretty solid place for pizza. I have no idea what I got. I asked for two of their most popular and I don't remember what they gave us but one was pepperoni and one was alfredo based. It comes with two giant slices. It was pretty good. Just wanted to try some Boston pizza. We weren't feeling the alfredo one as much but definitely check them out.

Unassuming spot with mind-blowing pizza slices. Each slice is literally a 1/4 of a pizza. So many options too.

Was looking for pizza and this spot drew us in with the smell coming from their open windows. In the 20min we were there it went from quiet to packed and bustling. It's a great place to grab a quick bite. There are a few tables inside but would be hard for a group larger than 4 to sit down. Overall solid pizza and can't beat the price.

    Happy customer with free refills!!

Not only were the single slices not single sized , they were hot fresh and FABULOUS!!! For $7.95, you basically get two slices!! Pizza and a beer for $13! Service was quick and friendly! Sat near the large open window seat and people watched, and there was enough seating/tables but not for long! Must try!!

Great little shop I found killing time in Boston. And a pizza shop that actually has Pepsi products too. Sells 'the biggest slices' in the city. And it was legit the size of 2 slices, but I don't know if I'd call it the biggest. Reasonable prices, but a cramped inside. For the food and service alone, it's a home run, but its very cramped inside and I wouldn't go back unless it was less busy.

Ernesto's is one of the BEST. I had to remind myself when I stopped by while waiting to meet a friend before a Celtics game. I was lucky enough to time it perfectly before a line formed from either the work crowd, tourist crowd or pre-game Celtic crowd. I had one slice (which a 1/4 of a large pizza) and a drink. They always heat it and serve the pizza at a perfect temperture. I was able to sit down since it was quiet and I enjoyed both my pizza and the ambiance of Boston's North End and the hustle and bustle of the area. The price was fair I would not expect to be able to park when visiting as the area is tight. Service is always good.....usually 2 or 3 workers ready behind the counter Pizza- excellent Would I come back? Of course....probably in early February for the Bean Pot Hockey tournament!

Italian Sub: $20 for a foot long, the meat was so plentiful it's almost overflowing, enough for two meals. The prisciutto was tender and juicy; the salami was firm and savory with a strong smokiness. Both are thinly sliced, so despite the thick stack, it was relatively easy for a bite. The provolone cheese was also generously portioned, with a robust yet not spicy flavor and a subtle nutty aroma, perfectly complementing the two meats. The olive oil and balsamic vinegar were particularly outstanding: mellow, tangy, and with a fruity aroma of grapes, key to the complex flavor profile. The lettuce, tomatoes, and onions were all fresh, especially the onions were refreshing and a little zingy, perfect for removing the greasiness. Unfortunately, I was worried about not being able to roll it back up properly and making it inconvenient to carry (which it actually happened), so I took it away and ate it at the office. After about 40 minutes, the bread had become somewhat dry and hard.

We walked into a simple counter-service space with limited indoor seating, the kind of place that feels more like a grab-and-go stop than a sit-down lunch spot. Even with its small footprint, there was a steady stream of customers coming in for one of the signature sandwiches, and the energy of the room stayed practical and focused on getting orders out efficiently. The lobster roll is the clear standout. We ordered one and found it generously filled with lobster meat, making it feel substantial compared to many other lobster rolls around the city. Whether you choose it hot with butter or cold with mayo, the focus stays on the lobster itself rather than overwhelming it with extra ingredients. The toasted roll added just enough texture without taking away from the filling. Although the lobster roll gets most of the attention, the rest of the menu offers plenty of options if seafood is not what you are looking for. There are oversized sandwiches, soups like clam chowder, and classic sides that make it easy to find something for different tastes. The portions are generous overall, making the prices feel reasonable considering the amount of food you receive. The service was quick and efficient, which fits the fast-paced counter-service concept. The staff moved through orders with speed, and the food came out without much delay. The biggest thing to keep in mind is the limited seating, especially during lunch hours or peak tourist seasons in the North End. If the dining area is full, taking your food to go or finding a nearby outdoor spot can be a better option. Overall, Pauli's is a great stop if you are looking for a satisfying lobster roll without an overly formal seafood restaurant experience. The generous portions, straightforward menu, and convenient location make it an easy place to visit while exploring the North End, especially if lobster rolls are at the top of your list.

This is the spot that I will take people to for breakfast when they visit...because you can't not get Sunny girl. I love the Lox sandwich, but pro tip: add in a fried egg. It goes sooooo well. Everything else is also good, especially the torta one, but the lox one is so unique. The citrus salad on it...just amazing. The store itself is a small shop and in the summers has outdoor seating. I've eaten in the outside area a few times, but I usually pick it up and take it back to my apartment. I think in a pinch you could eat outside, but inside is honestly way too tight because it does tend to get crowded. That brings me to my next point, I strongly recommend ordering online. While it's nice being able to order there and ask questions, you should be prepared to wait in a long line if you go in the weekend. It's safe to say this is a popular spot among locals...and everyone else. But rightfully so, the food is truly outstanding. A must try, and I can't wait for their new location in Southie!

Okay, so I understand that I'm definitely an outlier on this one given how much people rave about…read moreSunny Girl. Let me explain. For breakfast sandwiches in the city I'm used to Mike & Patty's, though I've been going to Archie's in downtown a lot more lately because I find it just as satisfying while also being much less expensive. I noticed Sunny Girl was somewhere in between in terms of cost. I also noticed how quickly they rose to foodie stardom, so I naturally went in with high expectations and the consideration that perhaps I'd have another quick service breakfast spot option under my belt. I made my way into Sunny Girl on a Wednesday morning before work at about 8:30. The place is very small, but there was a steady flow of people coming in, ordering, waiting a few minutes for their food and going on their merry way. They make it work. There are only a few stools inside for eating in, but they've got a few tables right out front for the nice weather. I ordered the breakfast grilled cheese with avocado added on, as well as an iced coffee. The coffee wasn't really anything to write home about for me, but I was really there for the sandwich. I grabbed my order and sat at one of the tables outside. Upon unwrapping the sandwich, it looked delectable at first glance. It had a decent cheese pull when I picked up the first half. For the first bite or two it seemed like everything inside worked together in harmony; that is until I realized that the bacon wasn't crispy. Not like it was just a little chewy on the ends, but legitimately undercooked on at least one side. To me, not many things are more dissatisfying than biting into gelatinous, underdone bacon. Not sure if this makes me nitpicky, but it kind of ruined the sandwich for me since I ultimately ended up picking about half of the bacon out. If the bacon was crispy or otherwise cooked more evenly, this surely would've been a knockout sandwich and the experience as a whole would've been worth at least four stars for me. Sunny Girl really seems to have a lot going for them; a good location, fresh ingredients, a loyal and ever growing customer base, an overall good concept. I genuinely want to like the place and my hope is that I just happened to catch them on an off day. It might be a little while before I return for another try, but if and when I do, I'll most likely end up trying a different sandwich and will also have to make a point to ask for extra crispy bacon.

I've eaten here before (it's a small area, but does have a lot of seating) but normally I get it as take out. The cafe itself is super casual, it's the perfect place to pop into during lunch or after a walk. My food is always ready on time which is nice, and when I've eaten there I'm usually able to find a seat. The spinach tortellini with the pesto cream sauce is my absolute favorite- it's a HUGE portion and so delicious. It usually lasts me at least 2 meals. The bread they include is also great! I like to dip it in the sauce. The past time I got Dino's I accidentally ordered spinach ravioli instead of tortellini...that was my bad. HOWEVER I think I might have found my new favorite? The raviolis are huge and so fat. I'm talking like 1/2 inch - 3/4 inch thick. There is so much stuffing and the spinach ricotta mix tastes so fresh and delicious...it's a must try. I've also gotten the eggplant parm before, and the fettuccini Alfredo. Both were also delicious. I've never had any of the sandwiches, but if they are anything like their pastas then I'm sure they are great! The bang for your buck here is also great which is nice. Highly recommend! Dinos is awesome! And the staff is very kind too (Note that the pic is taken from a train, I like to treat myself to Dino's before catching the Amtrak)
