DON'T DO IT!!!. At work and hungry decided on Pizza saw the "4" rating and decided to go over to the North end to give Ernesto's a try. Right when you turn onto Salem, very small street no parking. I didn't mind double parking in anticipation of a "great pizza" WRONG! First I ordered three slices, cost 16.50 Soda ( very limited choices). I realize the slices are "big", that's because they are stuck together... 2 slices making 1 big one. My honest opinion, you can get this type of pizza in any neighborhood around the Boston area, most likely better tasting and better prices. I was disappointed, I'm from Boston and I will admit, I figured going to the North End would satisfy my craving for some good pizza. My advice, if you're hungry and just need a filler, if it's in your way stop in and get a quick slice. If you are craving a good pizza, don't do it. I guarantee you will be disappointed. Pizza is decent with a nice crispy bottom and decent sauce/cheese mixture and flavor. The dough is too chewy; my jaw literally gets tired eating 2 slices. The pizza just doesn't compare to NY/NJ pizza in my opinion. However, the problem isn't the pizza, but the menu. They literally have "Wow!" written next to the menu where you find that a slice is a quarter (1/4) of a pizza pie. However, the price is comparable to 2 slices so there is nothing "Wow!" about it. In fact, it is worse because if you want three normal slices, or you want variety, well you are just out of luck. Just offer a normal slice and cut the cost in half. That way I can get 3 slices of 3 different pies, instead of needing to order 6 slices to get 3 different kinds. I very rarely order whole pies, as they tend to differ from the slice pies at real pizzerias and the slice pies are usually superior. Thus, I can't comment on the whole take-out pies unless in this case they happen to be the same as the slice pies. Won't be going out of my way to return. read more

I've always been a fan of the original Ernesto's in the North End -- best pizza there by far. It's good to have an option a little closer by, and where there's actually parking. They just opened and I'm not seeing any big quality difference between here and the original location-- same great sauce and crispy crust smothered in semolina. Only downside is that the ambience is a little too clean, modern and strip-mally, lacking the old world charm of the original. read more

Ordered two over priced slices of pepperoni and they did not warm up the pizza. I don't care if the pizza just got out of the oven 10 minutes ago or if you're closing in 5 minutes, warm up the pizza!!!! Also, the pizza appeared to have been sitting out for an extended period of time and tasted like the pizza had been sitting out. The taste is nothing special. Sauce: tangy, slightly over seasoned. Crust: mushy, thin, and not good cold. The pizza reminds me of Regina's pizza (located not far off over the bridge in Station Landing) and not in a good way. I was disappointed that the pizza was a copy cat of Regina's rather than trying to be their own pizza joint. There were several workers there in a tiny kitchen, one of them was sweeping a rug and I wondered if the dust from the rug would fly over the class covering the old looking pizza and onto the pizzas. Gross. If you're looking for warm pizza, I'd say go to Regina's for a slice. They'd at least warm up the pizza for you. read more

Love coming to any Ernesto's location! The food is always good, the portions always huge, and the prices always low. This is my favorite spot in assembly, and also probably the most reasonable. It didn't take long for this place to become a dump. No arrancini or garlic knots available for days/weeks because "they have to order those" so it's not fresh or made in t house. The napkin holder now stands empty, u have to ask for some when needed. Ernesto's been pushing and growing in the north end with their great Sicilian pizza which was available at this location until not long ago but it's now out of their menu. So it became just an over priced, no napkin available and half of the menu fresh/available kind of place. Just not worth it. Hoping it will be replaced with a legit pizza place soon. read more

Pretty good pizza but I didn't have a good experience because of the staff. First, I will admit that as a first-time customer, there with a large group of people, I didn't read the overhead menu closely enough to realize that their "slice" is what every other pizza place I've ever been would consider two slices. The guy at the register questioned me ordering three slices (for two people), but I didn't realize that it would be 3/4 of a whole pizza. I waited a while to get my order because I kept seeing two slices of the same kind on each plate and thinking "well, I didn't order 2 of the same kind." Eventually, I went up and they gave me my order of 3 jumbo "slices" (so...6 slices in any other place). I reacted with surprise - but not anger - saying that I didn't realize that each order was two slices and I didn't expect so much pizza. Multiple staff members immediately came over and got defensive, insisting that each was a slice that they cut into two pieces. The way they reacted made me feel like I was making a scene, but I wasn't. I did not ask for my money back or say anything belligerent. The worst thing I said was that they should make the size of their jumbo slice clearer for future customers. A sign/diagram at eye level would be enough. But the way they reacted is enough to make me not come back. Seriously guys, if you have to cut it into two pieces to serve it to the customer, maybe just call it two slices. read more

Nothing special from this location. I remember the pizza from the North End location being pretty good, but the slices here (at least the cheese) are the same you might find anywhere. I would put it at the exact same level as Haymarket Pizza near, obviously, Haymarket. However, the Haymarket pizza is $1.50 per slice while this is $4.50. Outrageous? Yes! But it's also the cheapest option in Assembly, sadly, so you're kind of stuck with it. read more

Been here a couple of times no problems and pizza is the best around even beating Regina's down the street. The one time I went in for a pickup they did my pizza wrong. They apologized and gave us 10 dollars in gift cards and gave us the other pizza anyway. The manager there shows that he cares about his customers every time I visit. The down side is no delivery but their pizza is good enough for a pickup anyday. Ninja turtles would straight have VIP memberships here. read more

Alright pizza place in Assembly Row. While they do give you two slices when you order one slice, it still really costs like ordering two slices at a local by the slice pizza joint. While decent I wouldn't go out of my way to return here but it's a good option if avoiding the weekend brunch madness at the other restaurants in the area. read more

Convenient spot to grab a bite before going to a movie. Downside as others have mentioned is that it's very small. We had to hover a little waiting for a table but eventually got a seat. The buffalo chicken pizza was beyond good. Lots of chicken and enough of a kick without setting your mouth completely on fire (although I don't mind since I love me some spice). The eggplant and ricotta cheese pizza is one of my favorites. I love the caprese and the buffalo supreme and the bianco as well! Very creative combinations that I never would have thought to order on my own. I ordered 1 slice, and waited for 10 min. They burned my pizza in the reheat oven. Then I waited 5 more minutes. They burned my pizza again. The staff is not paying attention and they didn't even say single word of apology. The white male staff with curve hair told me it is not burned. He handled things heavily. When La Hacienda Somerville closed back in July I never thought I was going to find a Pizza worthy. One of our friends and long time La HA customers told me to try Ernesto's so I went with one of the former owners of La Ha and we got a half Pepperoni half Cheese. It was AWESOME! My new local fav much better than Ragina's across the river in Wellington but Ernesto's is Pizza and Salad only no alcohol at this location, SORRY! So if your looking for a bigger menu variety that is a different story. The pizza was cooked to perfection but I do like pizza crispy and asked for it to be left in a little longer. The dough cheese and topping were 100% top notch. This will be my regular stop when shopping of if I am having people over and we want Pizza!
