We specifically searched for this place because we traveled to Japan before and have been craving authentic Japanese pancakes ever since. This place absolutely delivers every time. The pancakes are fluffy, fresh, and full of flavor. The coffee is amazing too. Everything tastes high quality and worth the wait. The café is always busy, which says a lot about how good it is. One thing we really loved is that they even have kiosk ordering, which reminded us of Japan. You can also place your order ahead of time for pickup, which makes everything so convenient. Super cute cafe! Be warned that weekends are BUSY! We stopped in and the cafe was super cute and inviting. We got on the list and had about a 30 minute wait. We were seated and ordered from the QR code on the table. The Basque Cheesecake came out first and was amazing! Great favor and texture! Each time I visit, I am warmly greeted by a staff member who assists me in finding the right seating arrangement for my group. If anyone has questions, the staff promptly answers and offers menu suggestions. Orders can be placed directly from the table using a QR code, and once items are ready, they are delivered directly to the table. On to the drinks: every drink I have ordered has been elegantly served in a well-chosen glass. A few of my favorites are the strawberry matcha latte, mango matcha, blue passion, yuzu lemon soda, and the ube milk tea. The strawberry matcha is gentle and slightly tart, blending into creaminess rather than bitterness. The matcha has a mild earthiness that keeps it from tasting like a milkshake. My only complaint is that, served as is, it is still a bit too sweet. I usually opt for the less-sweet version, which I find more balanced. The mango matcha is like the sweeter, less tart cousin of the strawberry matcha. It is bright and layered, with the mango coming through first as a juicy, tropical sweetness, followed by the slightly bitter depth of matcha. The finish is clean, with the matcha lingering longer than the fruit. It tastes balanced rather than dessert-like. The blue passion is a crisp, fizzy drink that works especially well in the summer. The yuzu lemon soda is equally refreshing, with the yuzu adding a level of complexity not found in a standard lemonade. The ube milk tea is smooth, creamy, and subtly nutty. It is rich and indulgent, with the sweetness of Biscoff and crème layered between soft, pillowy soufflés. I chose different cakes on different visits, and each had its own flair. They are served on plates and wrapped in plastic for easy separation. The Dubai chocolate cake is my favorite of the bunch. It is dense, dark, and unapologetically rich. The chocolate flavor is mild--not overly deep or bitter, but more bittersweet. The crumb is moist with a luxurious mouthfeel, which made me want to savor it slowly. Escape 360 is such a nice brunch spot in McKinney and it was very fancy. We went on a random weekday and it was really crowded. The interior was really nice, warm, cozy but modern at the same time. We got the Ube Matcha & Thai Coconut Brown Sugar Coffee and they looked amazing. The ube matcha was good but it was too nutty and grainy for me (probably from the ube). The Thai Coconut Brown Sugar Coffee was a 100/10 though. The coffee was strong, the foam on top was good, and the coconut crumbs on the side of the cup made the drink even better. I would definitely come back to get it again and also try other drinks. I see a lot of people getting the food and the souffle pancakes, and they all looked really good and nicely decorated. Meet up with a dear friend here for tea and dessert and it was perfect! We came on a Saturday afternoon, and maybe we had to wait about 10 min for an indoor spot. Tea and desserts for the both of us. It was perfect. If you do get the soufflé pancakes, they are made to order so expect a little wait. But for sure they are worth the wait!! I literally could not wait to try the Yak Mountain chai tea! It's so cute and it comes with a little butter cookie which I devoured after dipping it in the tea. This chai wasn't that spicy and had a floral hint to it. I have been to this nugget a few times now. It stands out for the gorgeous plating and superb staff, and ambiance. Any pic is going to be supremely beautiful elevated drinks, food, and interior design. I have tried sodas which are just so good. I also tried the green curry chicken pasta fusion. Ohhhhh. Sooo very good. He said it was spicy, but it wasn't;) The downsides are the prices, but also the service fee which is what keeps me from going back more often. It is not right to charge service fees. Wow! This is such a unique and stunning coffee shop! Immediately when we walked in I was blown away by the interior design and aesthetic of the place. We were greeted and seated immediately. You order through a QR code and pay through your phone which ended up being a plus simply because once we were done we could just leave, there was no waiting on a check! They have soooo many choices for coffee and matcha it was hard to choose. I went with the pistachio matcha and I can honestly say it was one of the BEST matchas I've ever had. Same goes for the latte. We were so impressed we almost ordered another round to go but decided we would just make a trip back. There's a disclaimer when ordering the soufflé that it takes between 20-40 min. Ours took right around 25. I don't think I'm a big soufflé person, but I can acknowledge they were very yummy! This is a very cute cafe to hang out with friends. Staff will come to your table to take orders and bring food. I ordered the Blue Lagoon drink and one of their specialty cakes. The drinks are visually well crafted and did not disappoint. The visuals speak for themselves. There is a nice outdoor patio area with Turf and some degree of shade for those warning to be more outdoors. Unfortunately, the day we went, there was some sort of an issue with the pipes or plumbing system in which the entire cafe reeked of a putrid scent the moment you walked in.
