We went with our friends whom Had never done an escape room. Our 3 rd and 4 th time doing one of these. Looking at older reviews it is shocking they haven't figured out how to make the entry into the place better. So many people have problems.. why not address it already. We got into the building went downstairs and the door to the place is locked. You can see in and they have nobody in the front. Why wouldn't they, when they have reservations scheduled? Is it so difficult to Have someone there to greet you?? First impressions are everything. We wait on some chairs outside the place- shake the door again and nothing. Eventually my phone rings asking when we are getting there and I say we have been here. They come from wherever they hide out and let us in. Bizarre. The girl who helped us was very nice and had an upbeat personality but her annunciation was really poor. Couldn't understand half of what she was saying- spoke super fast and unclear. The room itself was extra confusing and the puzzles did not flow well. At one point I opened a Box with a key and we were asked to step out- apparently that should have been locked and using that key would have won us the game . Oooops. Big mess up on their part and having to leave and enter back after killed the flow and vibe a bit too. The agency room seemed really hard compared to other rooms we had done, even with like 25 clues coming in. Overall experience was pretty weak. read more

Came here again hoping for a better experience than when we first tried booking. We got here about 5 minutes early and were buzzed in after using the call box outside the building (next to Pitango). We were greeted shortly after we walked in and had to sign waivers before we started. We booked The Agency room using a Groupon we found. The Agency was a pretty good choice to make. I have to say that this was one of the trickiest rooms I have been in. There was a whole bunch of things I didn't expect so it was pretty exciting every time we solved something. We couldn't have navigated this room without our game master (I think his name was josh?). He was super nice and helpful so you'd be lucky if he was the one helping. I would definitely come check this place out but a tip is to be there much earlier than your booking time. read more

I was pretty underwhelmed after my experience in the Jurassic escape room. I think that is mostly because I had high expectations and it didn't pan out. When you walk in, the room looks beyond amazing. It was probably one of the best rooms I've seen design wise. As you move through the room, you realize that the production value is absolutely top notch for the industry. Some people will go through this room just absolutely SHOCKED with how cool of an experience it is being in this environment / experience. I was super disappointed because my expectations were high and the production value was so promising, but I felt the actual escape room was a let down. It's hard to leave any higher number of stars because it feels deceiving because I just couldn't recommend the actual escape room experience. This seemed like a classic case of picking GREAT gameplay or GREAT production and production was clearly the focus rather than gameplay. 1. It did not follow the logic flow that most escape rooms follow. Normally when you solve some puzzle, the next step makes sense. We would solve something and then sit there waiting for something to happen, etc. This is kind of frustrating and makes it feel like it doesn't flow well. We ended the game by running out of time because we guessed the right thing to do next, but the gameplay required you to do the wrong thing first and then the right thing. We watched the clock go down (knowing we were doing the right thing), only to find out when the GM came in that it was right but they want you to do the wrong thing first and then the right one. (This last example may be confusing to readers, but hopefully provides helpful to company who knows their gameplay). 2. The steps often felt out of order. We would be on one track and reach a dead end, not knowing what to do next. Then the GM would help lead us to something so different. I always found myself repeatedly going back to the old rooms (weird for the industry) or figuring out stuff way before we could use it. 3. For a group who usually doesn't need much help through rooms (just because we've done so many of them), it becomes a major red flag to us when we don't get ANYTHING. I said afterwards that it felt more like a tour because we were walked through the room. Maybe if you are first time escapers and don't care a lot about getting help this is a good fit, but I think for regular escapers this would be a bit frustrating. Will consider coming back to see if the other rooms or a different experience provides us with a better feeling on the company :( UPDATE: I am still repeatedly receiving emails about how we didn't break out, we didn't have experience but now we do, etc. To be honest, it is a little bit much and I'm not sure that wording will be accepted well by all groups (pic added). read more

This place is nearly impossible to find. There is no clear sign on the outside of the door.. very obscure building, leaving people, including myself, very confused. The e-mail made timeliness a priority, so we were a bit panicked when we couldn't find the location and no one answered the phone. Someone finally came out the door and told us how to find Escape room.. had this random leaving his apartment building not helped us, I am not sure how we would have found it. We got there on time and waited about 10 minutes for staff to come from the back. All we could hear were staff members cackling.. having personal conversations and not at all responding to my 5 or 6 "hello's". Finally, with some gumption--I said "HELLO" and a young lady came out. We did the paper work. She told us we had to wait to see if any one else arrived... they never did.. so after 20 minutes of waiting we went to the back.. Our reservation was at 6:30, but at 6:45 they were still setting up our room... no wonder there was a wait. The young lady explained the game very quickly and took us to our room. She told us the needed info and then we went at it. The Agency escape stumped us, but was fun!! Much more elaborate than I thought. Me and my mentee had a good time, but didn't make it The escape room itself is fun, but I would suggest this location get some signage and maybe tighten up their customer service. When we left, there was a group of confused people trying to find it, gladly I was able to give them some direction. I will do Escape Room again, but probably not this location. read more

This was my second time at Escape the Room and it will definitely not be my last. This group and myself have done 4-5 escape rooms so far and have yet to be stumped. We have done 1 room escape rooms where it was a clear cash grab and puzzles make little to no sense and we have done larger more elaborate rooms. Escape the Room definitely falls into the bucket of those larger and better rooms. The clues are laid out well enough so there is a challenge to figure out what to do, but still easy enough that with time you can figure it out. Clues come in at regular intervals either on a walkie talkie or TV screen. The set ups are very well done and the decorations are immersive. So far we have done the Agency and Jurassic World. I would strongly encourage anyone looking to try out an escape room to look no further than Escape the Room. read more

Gotta say, I agree with the reviews from Morty, the puzzles themselves were just not as good as some of the other escape rooms I've played. Aesthetically, super cool. But did the puzzles completely line up or was there things around you simply couldn't solve until later over and over? Simply put, it was confusing in a lot of places but that could've been just because we were bad . But April and Ni'ara were excellent cluemasters. read more

Juwan was very helpful as our game master. The puzzles were nonlinear and nonobvious. The set design was fun.
