This is probably one of the most detailed decoration I've seen in an escape room. It really sets the mood and adds on to a good experience. My friends and I did two escape rooms: Under Pressure and Shanghaied. As an experienced escape room goer, under pressure had a good challenge to it. It was a buzzer beater! We got out just before the clock ran out so it had a good rush to it. We did get stuck a couple times but you get three hints throughout the game. It was definitely satisfying and enjoyable. Shanghaied room felt a bit slower. We got out with lots of time on the clock. It was easier but I appreciate the details in the room. So much fun! Highly recommend, I wanted to do something different for my birthday this year so decided on Escapology. We had a group of 11 so we had to split up into 2 groups but they were scheduled about 10 mins apart so the other group wouldn't be waiting too long. Not too much I can say about the rooms, but it's definitely fun, I want to try more of them. The staff was very helpful and props and rooms seemed to be pretty good quality. The lobby was set up with puzzles and trivia cards to get your mind going, reserving the VIP birthday area was nice also because I was able to bring some Del Taco fiesta packs for the group to snack on before and after the room. My husband and I were visiting from Los Angeles. We're Escape Room fans and love to try out new rooms in different places we visit. This place has excellent rooms -- we ended up doing 4 of them!!! Murder on the Orient Express, Th3 Cod3, Under Pressure, and Mansion Murder. We really wanted to do the Star Trek one but unfortunately it ran into technical issues and they had to cancel the game while we were there. Is Escapology my favorite in Vegas? Not really, but it's still a great place for escape rooms. They have a ton of rooms so it'll keep you coming back time and time again. The staff work hard to make sure you have an enjoyable experience, and their rooms have some puzzles I haven't quite encountered before. I've only done one room here so far and from what we've done, I'm excited to come back to do the others. We did Under Pressure with its WWII submarine theme. There were two puzzles that had us scratching our heads for a bit, but everything else was your pretty standard puzzles. Overall, it's a fun time with friends and it's pretty close to the strip. If you're visiting from out town, it's a quick drive over to Escapology. we had a group of eleven for a joint bachelor and bachelorette party this weekend. the boys did the Under Pressure adventure and us girls completed the Mansion Murder. both groups enjoyed our experience! there were a few devices in the Mansion Murder that seemed to be malfunctioning even though we were genuinely inputting the correct answers/codes so that cost us time but otherwise it was a fun & great experience! some in our group felt that this was their favorite activity of the whole weekend. this location also has a nice waiting room & is overall very cute and fun environment overall. staff was friendly and helpful! we had a good game master too :) other nice things - Parking: free & not hard to find parking in front of the location - easy to book online! - free group photo and fun wrist bands for completing the room at the end :) you can't go wrong here! read more

This place is legit! I came here last night, for the first time, in a group of six. When you first enter this place, you immediately get this sense of wonderment and awe. The ambiance and decor really adds that mysterious vibe and is a great set-up for what awaits you in the escape room. There are puzzles and activities in the waiting room to get you and your group to think, while you wait. There are also riddles placed in the bathroom to get your brain going, while you do your thing. A very impressive atmosphere to get you and your team amped up and ready to escape! We signed up for the Antidote room, which we found out later was one of the easier escape rooms. I was quite delighted with the whole set up. It looks like a very small laboratory. It even brought back painstaking memories of all the years of general and organic chemistry courses I took in college. I knew I was in for a treat! We were given thorough instructions by a staff before our 60 minutes started. We get three hints and a staff is watching us from the cameras at all times. Then we were told to watch the backstory of Antidote on the TV. The video provided a sense of urgency for escaping the room and definitely helped us to understand the expectations for succeeding. As soon as the video ended, the timer started counting down and we were all in a frenzy to get the heck out of that room! I don't want to give anything away, so I'll leave all the details of this escape room out. My group, The "Wuhans", managed to escape with 16 minutes left on the clock. We got stuck on the riddle for a bit because it was missing a letter, just one letter, which completely threw us off. The lady staff watched us scratching our heads and gave us a free hint on the TV screen. That was really nice of her! I solved that riddle right away and we were on to the next room. Antidote is quite easy, even a grade school kid can figure out how to escape. I have the tendency to read between the lines and look for deeper meaning in things. This type of thinking would not work here. The clues are literally, right in from of your face. I don't know how the other rooms are set-up, but having six people in the Antidote room felt a bit cramped. There wasn't a lot of space to freely move around with this many people. I think 3-4 people is a good amount. Escapology is a great place for collaboration, team work and team building. You get to really see how everyone come together to work and accomplish a mission. Came to Vegas for a couples trip - and what kind of trip of "Game Night" couples would it be without and Escape Room?? A non-existent one that is... This was one of the BEST escape rooms we've been to..and trust me, we have been to A LOT. The entire ambiance is perfect - from signing waivers on multiple ipads, games in the lobby, the furniture, the scent, ...literally everything was perfect! ANYHOO, we did the Murder Mansion AND Narco! They were super fun - great clues...we DID lose 5 min off of Narco for being late but i realllllly think we could have escaped otherwise (or so I tell myself). The entire team working that day was AMAZING! super friendly and so wonderful - they even played Name That Song with us while we were waiting for our next room to get set up. Huge shout out to our team that day: - Sierra - for her great energy and positive vibes to start our experience wonderfully right from the get-go! - Joe - our AMAZING game master - all smiles and so patient with our group! Been through two puzzles. They're was definitely a learning curve the first time just to figure out what to do. Fun working as a team and solving the puzzles. A couple were obtuse, but hey for the cost you don't want to finish in 15 minutes. Absolutely delightful. My husband and I have done rooms everywhere, and these were great. They are perfect rooms for 2 people, and they are always private. First escape room experience; won't be the last. I've heard of escape room addiction and after escaping Shanghaied (& placing in the Top 10 September scores) - I am addicted. Escapology was great in explaining, giving out (our single) hint, and had great production value. The experience checking in was swift and flawless. Came in, warmly greeted, slightly eerie feel - but it seems like that's what they are going for. We signed our waivers and were escorted into our room right away. Rules, questions, and story background were given. The timer started and we were off scrambling and assembling clues together. Everything was of use and the little details that we managed to figure out were really satisfying. When we did get stuck, I was a little mad that our hint was "push up then pull down on the lock" DAMMIT! We knew the code, but had to use our hint on how to figure out how the padlock opened!? The surprises, design, and way each item was utilized was very thoughtful. They even had a variety of different locks from keys, numbers, and even words on some. Our veteran escape room friend was slightly disappointed in the ease of one of the hardest rooms. (since we finished rather quickly for being a majority of our's first escape room ever, but maybe she was just that good?) Went here a few weeks ago with my friends who came into town. Been to quite a few escape rooms and hands down this has been my favorite one so far! Staff was funny, kind, and interactive. Rooms were difficult and challenging but in a good way that you want the rooms to be! They were doable too. They will tell you the end if you don't make it through but they offer to tell you or not so it's up to you! There's puzzles EVERYWHERE (make sure to check out the bathrooms too!) I've heard good and bad things depending on where you try an escape room. Escapology gets all the stars and two thumbs up from me! Upon entering, we checked in with the friendly lady behind the desk. From there you walk to the 'tablet' wall and sign your waiver to enter the room. Our game host, Joseph, then escorted us back to our chosen room making small talk along the way. Since we were all newbies, he proficiently explained the rules and objectives. Before we knew it, we were locked in and had to kick start our brains. Boy! Talk about problem solving mixed with logic and common sense. Our team worked together well and I believe that's how we were able to escape the room. It's definitely a fun group activity! Joesph was very congratulatory when we exited the Cuban Crisis Room. Henceforth he suggested our group name be Team Cubacca. Awesome! This is my second time with this company, first time in San Diego. They have the highest quality rooms and facilities I have ever seen. So much detail, thought and time is put into these rooms. I love the puzzles, voice acting, staff and waiting area. It's such a well ran place and we spent the extra to go here yesterday knowing it would be well worth it! I had zero desire to try an escape room. I didn't really know what it was and it honestly just gave me anxiety. My husband planned to bring our 16yo and his friend visiting from out of town and they begged me to come, and I am SO glad they did. I had the BEST time I've had in a long time and cannot WAIT to go back. I was so impressed with the quality of this activity. The room, the puzzles, the story, the host/master, the waiting room decor, everything was carefully thought out and well executed. The employees were all friendly and with a great sense of humor. Our son chose the Shanghaied game, which was the most difficult game available that day (9.1, I believe) and it was tough. We got out in 52 minutes but we definitely needed a few hints. I'd love to go back and do a lower rated one and try to not get any hints. I definitely recommend Escapology whether you're looking for a group activity for adults, with your kids, or even for date night. It is so much fun to get away from your normal routine and away from your smartphones and tv to play a challenging game where you're required to work together. If you take your younger kids or if it's your first time - no matter how smart you are - consider going for a less difficult game, you'll have more fun and then you can work up to the more difficult games. read more

This was our second time going here. One of many times doing an escape room yet the most underwhelming. Without spoilers, "The Code" was confusing at best. There was no indication on where to start first. It was very much find random stuff and piece it together later which took away from the storyline. It's not immersive. The rooms are small but are decorated to the theme. I would take this game with a grain of salt, just because there's better out there. There's more to escape rooms than shining lights and figuring out codes in a small room. Speaking of codes although we had the right one, the alignment of the lock was not clear so we wasted 5 minutes on that. Because it was our second time coming here we used a 20% discount code yet miraculously they tacked on a booking fee that wasn't there before so it was more like 5% off. Awesome time! I love the decor as soon as you walk in....there's a waiting area with cool wall paper that is themed to clues and mystery. They have you sign in with stationary tablets...it's for a waiver and also to get your email address where they can send a photo that you'll take at the end of your experience. It's a photo with an Escapology backdrop and there are props you can use. Now, regarding the experience....we did the Mansion Murder (1 or 9 choices)...this one was fun and super challenging! The inside of the room was so on point with an old estate and just like the game Clue. The puzzles were fun and made you think. I liked the beginning where they show you a video on the monitor to set up the plot of who was murdered. That same monitor is where your game master will review a clue upon request. Unfortunately, we were close to breaking out, but did not succeed by the one-hour mark. Nonetheless, it was fun and we all agreed we'd want to go back and try it again, but another room - maybe Narco! Overall a great experience! Even after we were done, the service was great - we were served cute mini-size bottled water, with an Escapology label on it and a few days later, received an email from the manager asking how our experience was, which I know is sent to all patrons following their visit, but still...these are nice touches of a well-ran business! read more

I don't play well with others so when a few coworkers invited me to join them for a free ( thanks to teacher appreciation week) hour in "Th3 Cod3 room- I decided to go against my instincts and give it a try. The entire experience was smooth, quick, and easy. The lounge here is to die for. I would love to sit and have happy hour with my coworkers- the decor is very cool and so was the ambiance. My friend reserved our spot online and when we showed up, we filled out the waivers. After a few minutes, we were taken back to our room. I like how we were able to keep our person belonging with us at all times and we didn't have to use a locker-one less thing to fret about. We were given a quick run down of rules and expectations of the players while in the room. My friends had both been to escape rooms before and I am sure that me being the newbie really slowed our team down. I was over thinking every "clue", number, date, name, and prop in the room. Heck, I didn't even know there were two other doors we needed to get through. The staff was helpful and would ask if we wanted a tiny hint when they saw that we were completely stuck. Unfortunately we did not escape the room, but I had a great time trying. After our time was up we went out for a picture and they gave us water while we filled out a quick survey of our experience. I believe we solved a couple (it's hard to remember which is which) but we did the Murder Mansion ... a 2nd time accidently and I have a good memory and remembered 3/4's of it, immediately. We still had to decipher codes and remember which word/name (no spoilers) but for having it almost completely pop up to memory, we were STILL not that close. Several of the clues were absolutely not intuitive and would have been impossible to know without clues. In fact, I only knew some of those impossible clues because we asked the first time. I don't like Puzzles that aren't reasonably solvable. At this point we've done basically all of the rooms except for one and for enthusiasts they just don't offer a lot of excitement and are at times very frustrating and illogical. The rooms are very lock and code based and you'll often solve a puzzle and be forced to try the answer on 5 different locks and hope your right at some point, at other rooms around town asking for a clue would often end with us discussing how we should've figured that out where as here we often shake our heads as a lot of the puzzles don't make a ton of sense On the plus side the staff is great and every GM has been wonderful and helpful, it's the the rooms themselves that leave a lot to be desired compared to other escape experiences around town. read more

I feel like a frigging escape artist. I'm a big fan of escape rooms and try to do them as much as my bank account would allow. After purchasing a Groupon, we chose The Code. Seven of us arrived at Escapology, anxious to get in the room. We arrived 15 minutes late, but the staff was generous enough to not deduct our time. We had 60 minutes to escape with only 3 hints---I was nervous. I enjoyed their style of hint distribution. Rather than delivering it via walkie talkie, and barely understanding the hint, it was done on the TV. It was a lot clearer that way. I enjoyed the room puzzles, and how understandable they were. No stupid math questions! We were able to escape NITRO with 10 minutes left. We used 2 hints which we ultimately regretted because they were so simple. I absolutely loved the technology they used in the room and how there was more than one room. If you are able to escape, they give you bracelets with the room name on it. We plan on returning to do the hardest room--BUDAPEST! Thanks to the entire staff for a job well done! read more

We were coming from SoCal and NorCal as a family group. Never experienced an escape room before. Looked online at the many available rooms in LV. Escapology looked nice, clean, and well maintained. Other Yelp reviews helped me to decide on coming here. We did the Budapest Express and loved it. So we decided​ to do another. The Antidote was available right away so we did that. Even though The Antidote had a lower difficulty rating we had a harder time. It was a really fun group activity. Justin was assisting our group and he was great. Fun times for vacation.
