Great excursion if you're in Morro Bay. We packed a picnic, received a quick, but thorough instruction/training of the vessel and the bay and were off! (After filling out all necessary wavers and such.) If you follow the map and listen to instructions, I think most people should be fine. We went in the off season, so the water wasn't too crowded. We saw tons of marine life, seals, otters, birds, and got a great view of the rock. Perfect afternoon. I recommend bringing a picnic and drinks.

My boyfriend and I, along with our friends and their baby came to Estero Adventures on a whim- we hadn't planned an outing, let alone put in reservations for a boat, but the staff was so kind and squeezed the 4.5 of us in for an hour an a half. We were greeted and felt so welcomed here, and they were so accommodating as we had a stroller with us. We were able to store the stroller in their shed! Before we departed, we were given a quick guide on how to navigate & a map of the bay, a life vest for the baby, and cozy blankets. Though there was a nice breeze, the sun was out and we were able to enjoy a beautiful cruise through the bay. We got to see the sea lions as well as some otters just swimming on by. The boats are VERY comfortable and spacious. We were able to adjust the tops of the boat to either be up or down. The boat was easy to navigate once you get the hang of it and being able to connect to the speakers was a huge plus. I would honestly come back and bring family & friends, it was a lovely experience and something I believe locals and visitors would enjoy.

This was so much fun! Bring some snacks and drinks. You do not need a boat license to drive, they're very easy to navigate. The staff is very nice, easy going and helpful. I would return in a heartbeat!

Mike was awesome. The ride was fun, we had the best boat! We could honk, play music, snuggle with a comfortable blanket, it was easy to understand the instructions and navigate the boat. We were even able to bring our dog! It took about an hour to see the whole tour. Overall a beautiful experience, and interaction with friendly, easygoing people.

We pulled off a surprise birthday adventure for a couple of friends, and it was a huge success! Thank so much to the staff, especially Eric, for making things so easy. They even let us on the boat a little early to decorate it. Everyone had such a great time.

Sea otters were out in full force on a foggy afternoon.

We dropped in on Estero Adventures hoping they would have a tandem kayak for us and they did! John was super helpful in getting us set up and launched. He even gave us a little "head start" before our hour rental started. When we returned to the dock, we texted the number John had given us and Keegan was there to help us on our return. The tandem kayak was in excellent shape and very comfortable. John was really knowledgeable and gave us some great tips to help us fully enjoy our time on the water. We saw a whole bunch of sea otters and seals as well as tons of brown pelicans and other sea birds. Highly recommend!

I had friends visiting from out of town with their 3 teenagers- we took some snacks and had a blast! The young gentleman who checked us in was helpful, enthusiastic and fun- he also packed us three blankets to stay warm even though sun was out. The teens plugged in their bluetooth so we had beats as we cruised along. Everyone had a wonderful time, and the kids even put away their cell phones for a few to watch the sea otters and seal lions.

Staff was very helpful. We got great instructions on how to operate their electric boats. Great fun . Everyone should do it and get an alternate view of the beautiful Morro Bay!

Chill spot for a rental. Boats are cruisers for sure perfect for just trying to have some beers while listening to some tunes. Boat definitely handled that! Customer service was great! Will be back next time I come up to Morro Bay!

Electric pontoon boats may not be fast but boy are they a blast around Morro Bay rock harbor! We had four adults and one kid it was around $100 for an hour and we loved every minute of it. There is Bluetooth capability on the boat so you can blast your music and just cruise around. We grabbed some drinks before boarding and just chilled out. You have enough time to probably eat as well if you brought some picnic foods. The one hour was perfect to see all the cute marine life, seals and otters are all around. The views from the boat is absolutely amazing. The customer service and booking was a cinch all online. We parked at a nearby spot as there is no dedicated parking lot. The whole downtown area gets pretty packed so give yourself time to find a spot. Enjoy!!!

Kids must where a life-vest. So many sea lions!!!

Super fun! Great price! Easy to book! Excellent communication! Highly recommend to locals and visitors! My family and I did the 1-hour boat rental. Directions on how to drive the boat were straight forward. The staff were friendly and easy to communicate with. Love that you can bring food and drinks! We saw lots of sea lions and sea otters. We are already planning our next visit :) Discounts are available! Just ask them!

The highlight of our trip! My boyfriend surprised me for our anniversary and we had the best experience. We actually extended our time (recommend at least 2 hours), and we went back the next day for kayaking. We will definitely be coming back and booking with this company. John helped us, and he was super helpful and friendly!

Had a fantastic time during this adventure with my cousin and my two-year-old, I love that they provided a life vest for him and for us if we needed it, and they were such a good help. I believe his name was Dave or David, but he was a great help. Sorry if I got your name wrong. But I can't wait to go back and do it again for my next vacation

Ask the Community - Estero Adventures

Is there an onsite parking lot?

No unfortunately, we found a spot on the street nearby but the area can get pretty busy so allow extra time to secure a spot. :)

Are dogs allowed on the electric boats?

As I was booking one, I saw that pets were not allowed.

We definitely had some trouble getting out, our electric boat swallowed a ton of kelp and wouldn't run.

I traveled here in spring, so I don't know what summer bookings look like. The ride is about an hour long. We went on the booze Tiki cruise. The drinks were rather large. They offered two sizes, we got the smaller size and that was perfect for me. I was super excited that I was able to bring my dog! I paid for my 2 dogs, I only brought on (the other is 18 and he had been out all day, he was asleep in his kennel). They don't do Refunds, but I was supposed to get a drink pass, but I don't think I did? I didn't realize until way later, though. There was also a goat on the cruise! I like to call it, "The Story of a Dog, a Goat and a Boat". I think the boat only held about 22 or 24 people. It wasn't super cold on the boat. We were pretty shielded. Remember, people might be drinking, so it can get loud! I'm giving them 5 stars just on the fact that I could bring my dog! I can't say that she loved it (she was scared, she had never been on a boat before), but thank you for a fun experience.

We sat in the front and experienced "flying boat" - as in the boat was rocking so hard it left the water for a bit. Lesson learned for me - in choppy weather make sure to always ride in the back. The Captain was extremely knowledgeable and customer service was flawless. He knew the ocean very well. When he realized we were getting pretty nervous he made sure that the boat stayed in a position that limited the rocking. He kept checking on us to make sure we were doing ok. We saw whales, otters, birds, sea lions, and porpoises. It was amazing seeing them in the wild and they were beautiful. Make sure to dress in layers. True to it's name, if you have the cash you have a seat. To begin your voyage you and your group gather outside Captain Stew's office on the wharf. For all intents and purposes his office is really just a door with a grease penned phone number on it. Apparently you call the number and some person tells you to wait for the boat to show up. We just waited outside his door and walked right on board when he landed at the dock. No reservation needed. The tour is about 45 minutes, blankets and binoculars are there for your use. The captain does a good job with facts about the bay while trying his best not to hit the many kayaks that are tootling around. You'll probably see at least fifty sea otters as they're everywhere in the Bay. There's one other stop the boat makes on this trip and that's to pick up more/drop off passengers on the other end of the wharf. - Kids get a free stuffed fish - Yes, that's a Budweiser sign above the Captain's office door.. - There are several negative reviews for this tour, mostly along the lines of cancelled reservations. This tour immerses you in the geological wonders of the bay, history of the area, and its bountiful marine life.
