One thing that I always appreciate: GOOD SERVICE. The people at Eunice Gourmet Cafe were incredibly accommodating. My friend asked to sample their coffee before getting it, and they gave us a sample cup! They were very helpful, and I sampled some of their gelato as well. The gelato was creamy and delicious, and so I got some of their hazelnut and some of their chocolate gelato. The coffee and gelato were both good or at least decent, and the people here (I know I'm repeating myself, but it bears repeating) were awesome. I have yet to try their sandwiches, but seems like they're pretty cheap!! I'm a sucker for hot-pressed sandwiches so I'll come back for those and give these nice people business! read more

Everything about Eunice is great! They have delicious sandwiches which you can pretty much build your own off of their menu. They also have breakfast bagels, grilled cheese sandwiches, paninis and salads. they're coffee is delicious and way better than Starbucks. I always get the Yemen blend. They have a large selection of teas, gelato, bagels and breakfast muffins. The staff is friendly and is personable with almost every customer. It can be crowded around the time school gets out. Service is generally fast, but if your in a rush- it's probably best to call your order in first to make sure its done when you need it. There is no credit card minimum or charge to use your card. I had a veggie bagel (cream cheese, artichoke, spinach, avocado, added tomatoes on a everything bagel) and it was pretty good morning breakfast. Just to be clear this is a small coffee shop and not a bagel shop. Some of reviews made comments about how their bagels don't compare to those in NY. Um. Yeah. Obviously. They aren't trying to provide the most amazing bagels in the world. I don't even think the make their own bagels. It's probably brought in from another bakery. Yes, this place is great. Small, quaint and delicious sandwiches/gelato. However, it doesn't have free wi-fi (or any wi-fi for that matter) so if you were looking for some try another place. I actually asked the employees about it and they said that the owner is thinking about getting some, but will probably add a few more seats before then to compensate for the added squatting factor from students. I'm inclined to think that it won't be tooo bad though, since it is rather far from campus. However, the sandwiches might cause people to make the trek to South Solano anyway. But since I like the wifi thing, I had to give it only 4 stars. Wifi would have given it the full 5. read more

I ordered sandwiches for five folks a couple weekends ago. For $6-$7 per sandwich after tax, you're definitely getting a good deal. While the portion sizes for the sandwiches are small relative to your average sandwich shops, the product and meat were all of good quality, and the stock sandwich choices were all fairly tasty. In the interest of full disclosure: my boyfriend works here, so I'm biased. But if I didn't have anything nice to say, I wouldn't say it at all. Things that are delicious here: sandwiches gelato the Yemen coffee blend (SUPER) This place is pretty small and if you're going during a high-traffic time you'll likely have to wait a while (but it's worth it). Also there is no longer a minimum transaction amount/fee for credit cards. But I've been to several places that have a minimum so I'm not too sure on the legality of this. My favorite coffee shop OF. ALL. TIMES. Great beans, local pastries, handmade sammiches, family owned and operated . . . I stay away from the gelatto since once we had some there that seemed a bit "off." I am sure if I said something they would have rectified the problem but I am a chicken about stuff like that. They are super kid friendly and my youngest is known as the "chocolate guy" since he always orders a chocolate croissant. Most of the time I call in my order to make sure they have what I want (depending on time of day and how busy they were they sometimes run out of certain breads and meats), but I don't mind coming in and ordering because the owner is one of the nicest persons you could meet and the staff is spot on. I ordered a pastrami & swiss sandwich on dutch crunch along with a bag of Jalepeno chips. Not bad for a lunch under $10. I didn't have to wait too long for my sandwich to be make. The roll wasn't too hard and the pastrami was just right, not too soggy. There's limited seating inside and a couple of seats outside. Another great find on Solano Avenue! They guy who made my sandwiches was so friendly and helpful, and most importantly made delicious sandwiches! Like, he asked me when I was going to eat it because he could put the sauce on the side so it wouldn't get soggy. Turkey avocado and the falafel pita were both great. This little place has a lot to offer but at this point, my review is based on the excellent breakfast bagel sandwiches we've had there on a couple of occasions. On both occasions, our meals were excellent with just the right amount of fresh ingredients. Both times we forgot to fill in the sandwich order sheet which is typically the protocol in this little place. Despite this, the staff was happy to fill it in for us so no harm/no foul. I wish their bagel options were a little more diverse but then, this isn't a bagel shop so I guess I can't complain too much. After going to our usual coffee place my husband and I stopped here to get some bagels for breakfast. The man behind the counter promptly took our order and made suggestions. As I stood there looking around I thought that the cafe must be new. Everything was spotless and in its place. Turns out they've been open for years! As our food came and we ate (yum!) many others walked in and ordered and ate and spoke to the owner in a familial way. He even made us a latte on the house! Let's just say that this is our new "usual" spot and next time we will be getting our coffee here too! read more
