This was my first time dining at Eureka, and I came here to celebrate graduating with my doctorate. I am so happy I chose to celebrate such a special milestone here. When we arrived, we did not have a reservation, but the hostess was incredibly kind and let us know there was currently no availability. She took my number and assured us she would call once our table was ready. To our surprise, we only waited about six minutes. Once we were seated, the manager came over, introduced herself, shook my hand, and congratulated me on earning my doctorate. She let us know she wanted to make sure we had a wonderful experience since it was such an important celebration. That personal touch meant so much to me. The food was amazing--fresh, flavorful, and served quickly. Our waitress, Maxine, was sweet, professional, and attentive throughout the entire evening. The level of hospitality from everyone was truly exceptional. What made the night even more memorable was how supportive and kind everyone was. From the staff to the customers in the restaurant, so many people congratulated me and helped put a huge smile on my face. Words cannot express how happy I am that I chose Eureka to celebrate earning my doctoral degree. Like my graduation cap says, thank you, Eureka, for adding to one of my "core memory" days. We went here yesterday for my sister's graduation. This was the first time any of us tried it. Absolutely everything we had was good! The salmon,steak,Mac and cheese balls,truffle fries,dry rub wings,nachos,fish tacos,burgers and corn and even the neon jungle and purple haze drinks,just to give an idea of what we had. Our server Maxine,hope I spelt that right was AMAZING AND SO SWEET. We also had the I believe general manager Sharon come to our table who also very nice. The whole staff was kind. This is definitely a place to visit,hope the food is always consistently as good as it was. Visited this restaurant Sunday for a date night with my girlfriend. I like how the hours are open late, beats the odds of looking for a restaurant after a movie date at the Veranda theaters. Food and drinks were great. We enjoyed our shareable appetizer, Mac N' Cheese Balls and Dry Rub Wings. For our mains, I tried the Al Pastor Fish Tacos and my girl had the served all day Breakfast Burrito w/ choice of tater tots. Food was delicious! You would think that a place with this many bad reviews about service would've learned by now and improved, but apparently not. I've been to this restaurant twice, and both times the waitresses barely checked on us to see if we needed anything. Both visits I ended up leaving without even getting a refill, which might sound minor, but when you're paying $70+ for burgers, you'd expect at least the basic level of service that even Chili's manages to provide while being way busier. The dipping sauce complemented them well. No notes. The burgers were decent, but didn't wow us like they did the first time. I would say they need BBQ sauce added. It's listed as an ingredient, but I couldn't identify it. Maybe a heavier hand with the BBQ sauce would have resulted in a better outcome. I'm not sure if it was an off day or if something has changed. The honey cinnamon sweet potato fries were delicious though! Worst night at Eureka, not only does the manager let sick bartenders work their shift so they can cough all over the bar, but it being brought up to her turns into a joke. Isn't the first rule of food or drink service health? I understand customers might come in sick, but I never expected to possibly get sick from a worker. I was here with a group of friends and the wait was not too bad for us. Initially, they put us in a booth, but for 7 people, it wasn't the best idea. We eventually got seated at the tables. The service itself was nice. Our server was attentive and checked in on us multiple times throughout the night. Ahi Poke Stack: This was surprisingly delicious. It felt refreshing and cool to eat. The fried wontons were whatever, but the stack itself I enjoyed. I didn't know it was black rice until I looked more closely at it. The flavor it held, along with the poke and other fixings, all melded well together. I really enjoyed this appetizer. Napa Chicken Sandwich: I really enjoyed this sandwich. I have no idea why this place never has enough staff. It's not ever a surprise that we wait at the hostess stand for 5 plus minutes every time we come in before we get seated and it's also not a shocker that the poor servers section we are seated in has tables all over the restaurant. Friendly, attentive, knowledgeable all the things that makes a server a good server. But we don't come here for the service. We come for the food and craft cocktails! Truffle fries...FIRE. Brussels sprouts...TOP NOTCH and don't even get me started on the wings! The wings are consistently crispy on the outside and tender on the inside I never not order them. This was our first time in EUREKA! We're checking out different places for burgers & read the reviews for EUREKA! Pretty good so I told my husband let's try it out . I made a reservation enroute from the wineries in Auburn/New Castle , it was absolutely the easiest almost easier than Open Table. Boom reservation made for two in the Concord location. We arrived a couple of minutes early & we were seated immediately. Eureka! a very modern & simple atmosphere & very clean inside . I'm not absolutely sure how long this location has been open but it looks spanking brand new. We were greeted by Lamar our server took our drink order & then after drinks were order we placed order in . Lamar is very quiet & soft spoken young man but he did a great job & was very attentive & not overly intrusive . We started off with/ the Parmesan truffle fries & holy moly they arrived hot & crispy & the dipping sauce was perfect. We split the 28 day dry aged bone marrow burger w/ arugula salad instead of fries since we had the big order of the Parmesan truffle fries . The burger was cooked to perfection but the bone marrow shiitake butter was like a hint of , it was missing the roasted tomato but the grilled onions was what made the burger delicious w/ horseradish mustard aioli. We both agreed that the burger wasn't seasoned enough but you think w/ all the components of the burger it would be a slam dunk a little lacking but still a good burger . Love that I opted for the GF bun which was $2 up charge . The carrot cake w/ candied pecans was the BEST carrot cake ever ! Not dense very light & not overly sweet . Now I want to try the bourbon caramel cake w/ candied pecans the next time we dine here . Overall we enjoyed our dining experience & we will be back. Make sure you make a reservation b/c later in the evening it did get busy. 5 Stars but it did take a little bit of time for the burger to come out it was like 20-25 later after appetizer but can't fault Lamar b/c he wasn't the cook but we still enjoyed our dining experience & we will be back. We normally love Eureka, but tonight was a major fail across the board. Our normally favorite whiskey sours tasted off (proportions were wrong and not tasty). We drank them nonetheless and then ordered beers to drink with our food. Food came shortly after. Fig burger and bone marrow burger (same thing we order everytime). Ordered medium rare but received well done. No one came back 20 min later so we just started eating. The lack of seasoning on both burgers was devastating. I had to get up and go find someone to get some salt to season them with. Didn't want to wait another 30 min for a remake. We eat what we could and were done and beers were still not here 30 min later. Had to get up again and tell our server to cancel our beers as we were done with food. I get it was busy, and we were very patient. But service was bad and food/drinks was worse. Very sad. read more

Went in for Happy Hour. Place was empty except for one other person at 4 pm. They used to have a burger on HH for $10. They took it off. Got two "Al Pastor Fish Tacos" ($4 ea on HH menu) I thought menu said Al Pastor, Fish, or shrimp. Waitress explained that the choice was either fish or shrimp and they were "Al Pastor flavored". We also got an order of cheesy truffle fries and cheese steak sandwich. The fries came out room temp and soggy. Sent them back, and the remake was hot and crispy, but oily. The fish tacos had very little fish Flavor was ok. Beer not cold enough. Waitress was nice, attentive. Food was not good. Music was super loud. Won't be back. read more

If I could give 3.5 stars I would, but bumped it up to a 4 because of the service and for the extra touch of bringing all tables with kids a small appetizer plate of orange slices and carrot sticks. I found that a very thoughtful touch and appreciated that it was a healthy starter offered to kids. My husband and I first tried Eureka! Burger when we lived in the Fresno area 12 years ago. Back then, we loved it. The menu was edgy and fresh, the whiskies and beers were frequently revolving, and there were always fun specials with their whiskey or beer flights or local craft beer features. It's lost its edge for us and feels much more bland and commercialized now. We tried this Concord location after not having been to Eureka! for probably a good 5+ years and were disappointed by the menu. The fantastic burger menu that we enjoyed is no longer daily fare--they rotate them throughout the week, so our favorite go-to's are no longer go-to's. That was a huge bummer. The Fig and Goat Cheeae burger was my absolute favorite menu item and it's now only available 2 days a week??? Garbage. Most of the menu items are huge calorie dumps. It was really difficult to find any entree under 1000 calories. The salads weren't much better. For anyone trying to be healthy, this ain't the place to do it. The beer menu was solid. It had some steady commercialized brews and several local taps to try. I appreciated that. The Pizza Port DIPA tasted horrible, though, and I'm familiar enough with those brews to think it was either a turned keg, or contaminated tap line. It tasted like soy sauce and that's all wrong. My fish tacos were decent and my daughter gave her kids meal burger a thousand stars. My husband's chicken sandwich was meh. Service was pleasant and reasonably fast for a mostly empty restaurant. Stopped by for a late dinner on our way home. We chose to dine outside as we had our dog with us. Glad they welcome dogs. Service was slow but friendly. Thankful for the host, Serena, for stepping in to help us when our server was assisting another table. Food was good. We had the Eureka Cheeseburger, Bbq Cheeseburger and Fish and Chips. They use Mahi Mahi for the the fish. Portion wasn't all that great but it was good. The burgers come with grilled onions not sautéed but it's good. Overall the experience was good. I ordered a variety of wings with two flavors. The order included four drumettes and three wingettes for $18, which seemed a bit high at $2.57 each. I also came with three carrot and three celery sticks with blue cheese dip. The seasoning on the wings was edible, but both the BBQ drumettes were a bit dry, and the bourbon dry rub was also lacking in flavor. Overall, it was a significant disappointment for the price I paid. I won't be supporting this business in the future. But, I read the same complaints from Wingstop and Buffalo Wings. read more

We got to place orders prior to the event so that it was ready when we arrived. These are the items I ordered: Spicy Fried Chicken Sandwich (4/5): I was pretty satisfied with this chicken sandwich. It was cooked and seasoned very well. However, I would've preferred it to be spicier. Mac N Cheese Balls (5/5): These were very yummy! Super rich and creamy in the inside and nice and crunchy on the outside. Spicy Ginger Green Beans (5/5): This is a MUST TRY!! I was surprisingly pleased with how good these beans were! I thought I wrote a review for this place but I guess I haven't! This is my favorite place to go to for their "hoppy hour". We usually get the truffle cheese fries and split the Eureka burger. The wild child cocktail is a perfect pairing as well. I absolutely love the truffle cheese fries. The fries are crispy and the cheese dip is heavenly and the taste of truffle is not that over powering. You can sit inside or outside or at the bar. Since we came outside of happy hour I decided to try the fish tacos. They weren't that great, but I wanted to try something new. The fish was a bit dry and I didn't really get much flavor of anything. Truffle fries and burgers are where it's at! Service is fast and friendly and the place is clean. After being full from the delicious meal, we walked around the Willows shopping center. Highly recommend!! read more

The new menu is fantastic. I actually stopped coming here because the menu was so limited. Now there's options for all times of the day. I took away one star because I expect the bartenders at a place like this to know about cocktails but when I asked a couple of questions the bartender said he didn't know because he doesn't drink. As a bartender at a place with specialty cocktails, I expect they can answer the questions regardless if they drink. Otherwise what's the point in being a bartender. read more

Tried Eureka! again after visiting once when they first opened years ago. So glad we did! Stopped in on a Saturday night a couple of weeks ago and have been back at least 4x since. Love the Hot Wings with the Firecracker sauce, they come out crispy and have a really nice kick. The Cowboy Burger is outstanding, comes with bacon, shoestring onion rings and a beer barbecue sauce. They have an extensive rotating beer menu and delicious cocktails. Love the Espresso Martini and the Hazy IPAs! Have also had the Scary Hot Fries several times, they're only available during the month of October bummed to see them go. Service has been consistently spot on everytime we've been in and I love the music and the low lights in the evening, makes for a great date night. Will happily come back again and again! read more
