I made a reservation with a large party for two of my friends birthdays. When we arrived our table wasn't ready because other guest were sitting there for over 2 hours and we were informed they cannot ask them to leave. As a result of that my party had to move to the outdoor seating because they could not give us an ETA on when the indoor table would be ready. During the dinner, we had a bunch of problems. Both my gf and I never received our food and a few of our parties drinks came out wrong. They did take care of our meals which was great but my gf was ignored a few times when she tried to ask for some help. As always the food was pretty great, I usually go to the Eureka in Redlands. They also were kind enough to store our ice cream cake in the back (for the birthdays). Overall, I wish the service was a bit better but my party did up enjoying themselves. I have always been an extreme fan of Eureka. I am pregnant and had a craving for their French dip and drove to Eureka only to find out they changed their menu and have removed allllll the best items on the menu! Now you can't get a burger unless it falls on the day they offer it. Ok so I had to come back and update my review after my last visit this past weekend. We decided to sit at the bar and had a complete different experience. The bartenders were super attentive and made sure we were taken care of. I suggest coming in during happy hour as they have some great options to choose from. I do not typically post reviews of restaurants, but I was so disgusted by one thing that will not make me return to this restaurant. The service was great, but the food was only okay. There is no REAL happy hour menu. Besides 2 dollars off beer and a burger, that was it. The location in Claremont is a lot better. Parking was not convenient; you had to walk a long block just to get to the front door, but this was the kicker. As a female, I should never feel unsafe using the bathroom in a restaurant. You have to share a two-stall bathroom with strangers, men, and I'm not o.k. with it. There is a sign outside the bathroom that tells you that there are additional bathrooms in the hotel lobby. Which is Ludacris!!! I am a paying customer, and I have to leave the restaurant to use the bathroom because 3 tall men were utilizing the bathroom, and we are all in this small space, washing our hands with strangers' men, and I was so uncomfortable. Visited Eureka! tonight while in town for work. It came highly recommended by a bartender at a nearby restaurant. I arrived around 5:10pm so I could enjoy happy hour and easily found a spot at the bar. Although there were several bartenders working, it took a minute to be acknowledged. I ordered an old fashioned and the Mac n cheese balls - both on the happy hour menu. The Mac n cheese balls were VERY good and I enjoyed them a lot. The old fashioned lacked virtually any sweetness. I ordered another old fashioned and the spicy chicken sandwich (not a happy hour food item). I requested an upgrade to their honey-cinnamon sweet potato fries ($3.00 extra). The second old fashioned also lacked sweetness associated with a typical old fashioned. The chicken sandwich was delicious, although the tangy coleslaw that was supposed to be on it was virtually indistinguishable. The upgraded fries were GARBAGE. They were soggy. Like, limp, wet soggy. Their flavor was what you'd expect and on par with the name but not worth ANY dollar upgrade whatsoever - steer clear!!! Additionally, I thought the presentation of the fries with the sandwich left a lot to be desired for an upgrade (see photo). The staff appeared fun, talkative, outgoing, and attentive - to people and regulars they knew. I on the other hand had almost no interaction with staff at all. (e.g. nobody asked me even a single time how my meal was. I didn't have an opportunity to ask for an iced water. I waited an extended period of time waiting to be closed out.). Their interactions were minimal and very brief. Not a place I'd go out of my way to stop at. Came here for the first time today. Management needs to step up and take control over the staff they are hiring. Eureka Claremont has it figured out . This place does NOT. I can understand it's new place Customer service isn't a new thing. I asked for sour cream to help coat my dry nachos and make them edible. How do you mess up nachos is beyond me. Asked for sour cream at the bar, big guy says give me a minute. There's 6 ppl at the bar and he never came back. Asked the second bar tender for sour cream and although he acknowledged what I wanted - he never came back!!! WTH.. Can you imagine when they get real busy??? It's going to be a mess. Don't come here for a year at least. Maybe by then they'll know how to run the place. Btw, my husband went and got his own sour cream at Target while I waited for the bill. He wants his sour cream!!! I love that they put a Eureka burger at this location. It's a little hidden from the popular Ontario Mills and other shops, but it's right next to a brand new hotel and the Toyota arena. I can foresee other restaurant owners doing the same. This restaurant is a little smaller than the other Eureka burgers so if you come during prime time with a big group, you will probably wait at least an hour. We had a party of 8 on a Saturday night and waited about an hour and had to sit at two different tables. My GO-TO dish currently is the "Bison" burger. I have always been a bison burger fan so I was ecstatic to see it on the menu. The burger has spicy charred Fresno Chile, bacon-infused jalapeño jam, smoked mozzarella, and whiskey caramelized onions. It was scrumptious! I was expecting this huge messy burger that I wouldn't be able to completely eat, but the portion is just right. My second visit to this location was last night for dinner. The hostess greeted us right away and we were seated within a few minutes. The service was very good, although it took a few minutes for my beer to arrive. I had the Ahi Tuna Salad, which was good and priced reasonably. There is both indoor and outdoor seating. I am not sure why the AC was set to meat locker temp, as it was a bit cool outside. There's a nice modern vibe with plenty of tables and comfortable seating options. A solid four star experience. Came here for a work trip to stop in for a drink. I sat at the bar and asked for an espresso martini. They served it in a normal glass because "their martini glasses were broken". Sounds silly but kind of defeats the purpose of a martini for me. Either way, the drink was good, and the service was great. read more

I was super excited to try this place due to the beautiful interior and lively bar/patio! We came in on a weekday which was still pretty busy but we figured that was a sign the food was good! We ordered a few different plates to share and try. Everything was super fresh and tasted great. However, our waitress was very cold and took very long to get around to her assigned tables. A favorite spot for us, not necessarily just because of the food - although the burger selections and happy hour offerings is worth the visit alone - but rather because it's our first "date/non date" meeting point. We have been to the claremont location and the service has always been good. So we were looking forward to trying this location closer to our home. We walked in at 1pm and the place was not crowded but a decent amount of people at the bar and throughout the restaurant. The bartender looked at us and didn't say anything when we walked in, there was no hostess and one server running around the entire place. We waited over 10 minutes without anyone offering us a table or even saying we'll be with you soon. The server passed by us and didn't say a word. Finally gave eureka a try over this past weekend. Saturday afternoon convenient private lot parking. Located across from Toyota arena. It wasn't that busy so seating was quick. Trendy and modern decor. Staff was courteous. The order and wait times of food from appetizer to entree was a while. I tried their Mac n cheese ball, ahi poke stack, and cowboy burger medium well. In all still recommend atmosphere for family and group hang out just be patient with wait times of food! They have a full bar for game night! read more
