Rey quoted me $1,594.36 for a repair that another shop fixed for just $180. That is clear price gouging. On top of that Joe was very aggressive and attempted to blame me and my wife for the issues he had missed. My first visit was in June last year for an oil change, which was done quickly and without problems. The second visit was in February for a heat issue with coolant leaking under the car. The repair was completed within a day or two. However, after I had already paid, Rey mentioned an additional $200-$300 repair needed for the AC to work properly in the summer. I found it odd that he waited until after payment to bring this up. When I asked questions, he became defensive, repeatedly emphasized how busy they were, and told me not to touch the AC button because if I did I would not be able to turn it back to the heat. He suggested bringing the car back in the summer when I needed the AC. In early May, my wife and I brought the car back to fix the AC issue and address the check engine light so we could pass emissions. We dropped it off around 8 a.m., and it was ready by early afternoon. Before paying, I asked to speak with Rey, who now said there was no AC issue and that the heat and cold were both working fine. When I questioned the inconsistency from February, he again cited having 20-30 cars a day and not remembering details unless noted on the intake sheet. I told him that we had sent a clear email with our requests, but I guess that wasn't properly transferred to him. I asked to check the car together. Rey complained multiple times about being too busy but confirmed the AC and heat worked. I then confirmed with Joe twice that the charges covered the AC repair and check engine light fix before paying. After leaving, I noticed the engine light was still on. When I returned, Joe immediately tried to blame my wife for not communicating the emissions request. I showed him our email, and he agreed to waive the inspection fee and fix it. However, Joe was extremely aggressive, swearing at me and demanding a "yes or no" answer even though I had already agreed to leave the car. After a brief cooldown, I addressed his behavior, and he eventually apologized. The next day, Rey called and quoted $1,594.36 to replace three parts (canister, fuel valve, and pressure sensor) for the P0456 code. I asked Rey if he had done the EVAP smoke test, he confirmed and went on to say that all 3 parts were leaking and all had to be replaced. Skeptical after all the previous issues, I took the car elsewhere. The new mechanic fixed it in about one hour for only $180. He said the problem was a very small, easily fixed issue in the canister, and that Rey had likely not performed an EVAP smoke test and was not truthful about all three parts leaking.

For the install, I went to two places closer to where I live. One was temporarily closed, and the other was a place I've been going to for years. I even recommended them to friends in the past. Unfortunately, the bigger that business became, the worse their customer service got. I searched online and found "CARRECTLY". I went to their website and liked what I read and saw. This place is across town from me, but the trip was well worth the find. I called with my inquiries and spoke to Oliver. An appointment was made, and I sent links to D.I.Y. Videos to help streamline the installation process. Oliver was very straightforward. During the 3 days my car was being serviced, he kept me updated on the progress. This seems to be underrated with most businesses, but it's very important to a customer because nobody likes being left in the dark, especially when their car is left in the hands of someone else. Updates help build transparency and reduce the perception of being taken advantage of. Good communication encourages repeat business and referrals. It also leads to positive online reviews like this one. The installation work done on my car was superb. Everything looked like a factory install.

Very Unprofessional…read more After my car was completed, Oliver suddenly told me they do not accept credit cards and demanded payment only through cash or Zelle. This directly contradicted the written estimate I received, which clearly stated that credit card payments over $500 would incur a 4% processing fee. The estimate even referenced the option of using their gift cards, which obviously implies card payments are accepted. When I questioned this, Oliver claimed their Square payment processor was "on hold." However, the business still advertises credit card acceptance on their website, and my bank was still able to process their charge attempt. The explanations I received felt inconsistent and misleading. Customers deserve transparency and honesty, especially after expensive auto body repairs. Changing payment terms at the last minute after work is completed puts customers in an uncomfortable position and feels extremely unprofessional. I would strongly recommend getting ALL payment terms confirmed in writing before authorizing repairs here. I will never recommend or ever use their services again.

I then took it to another shop, and they told me they also couldn't fix it, and directed me to Reliable Auto Repair Center. I was impressed when I called Reliable and the man I spoke with was confident he could fix it. The first time I brought my car in I had to leave immediately and bring it back the following day, because I was told they wouldn't be able to look at it until then (there were a ton of cars outside and they don't take appointments: first come, first served). I dropped it off the next morning and by early afternoon I had a diagnostic report and estimate. They also found a few other issues with the car and fixed everything for me by the next day. Communication was great, every person I interacted with was professional and kind, the cost was reasonable, and best of all my car finally works properly again. I will definitely be bringing my car to Reliable for all service and repair moving forward.

I finally just took it to a Midas shop and after 15 minutes and $50 my car ran good as new. I'm not sure if these people are crooks or just completely incompetent but don't bring your car here!
