I was a customer for a long time but after my last wax at the end of November (it's been a looong month) where I was burned, I will not be returning. I filled out the text survey saying I was burned, someone called me and I told them I was burned and asked for a refund, the only thing they would do is have me come in and have someone else "clean it up" which I didn't have time for and also doesn't fix the fact that I was burned so not necessarily wanting to try that again. I still have 2 bumps over my left eyebrow that are from the waxing that day. I know it was a burn because it stayed red for a long time and also hurt really bad like when you scald yourself with water or steam. First time here experience was horrible First off young lady was finished doing a Brazilian wax in under 10 minutes. 7 to be exact Second she burnt me with the wax on top of leaving patches of hair then they are cashless which they don't tell you When you book so they send you to a store around the corner to get a gift card and the card doesn't work. The blonde girl with the fluffy eyebrows is so rude. They try to bully you into buying a wax pass. Booked a first time waxed here cause it was close to my house. I've been waxed before but never at EWC for xyz reason and since my normal lady is gonna be unavailable for an extended period of time, I decided to try them out. Anyway, I selected Haylee because she had the most recent and best review. She did a great job! Very efficient and quick. In the review I read, it said she talked during the wax which made it go by fast; I agree!!! However, we went through so many topics so fast lol. I suppose there is nothing actually wrong with that; I'm just use to having more in-depth convos with my wax lady and massage therapist during our sessions. Just a preference! She was cool though and her tattoos were dopeeee. I've been going to EWC since 2014 and found that it's hard to find a consistent waxer that stays working there long and does a good job. I had finally found Moni! She was here for years and did an amazing wax every single time. Recently, I went on to book and saw her name was gone!!! I was devastated because I tried someone else, won't say who, and they definitely took too much off my brows :( I have credits left so I'm going to have to use them up at least but I'm so sad Moni is gone! The service was good! I got a Brazilian for the first time I requested Haylee she was quick, fast, and does it at the comfort speed u want like if u need to take a breather she will wait! She talks and doesn't make it always always trying to make conversation so it goes by fast. She's very patient and she does above and beyond! Tanajah is the best. I've seen her the most when coming to European Wax Center and she makes me feel taken care of and I will always get the same quality wax and care every time I come in. I love the eyebrow shape she gives me and my Brazilian is always near flawless. Somehow she does it the quickest way possible (my pain tolerance is super low which she knows) while still getting me that smooth skin I need. Now, I forget what the front desk associate's name was (she had red highlights) but we discussed options about my renewal, birthday rewards, rewards, markdowns on products, and I was living for it. I went in for an eyebrow and upper lip wax. I have been going to many EWC locations in the past 2 years. I'm not sure the name of the person who did my wax, but my eyelid is swollen, tender, and burning. I've never had a reaction like this. I knew something was wrong when I felt the wax land on my eyelid, which has never happened before. This was the first time I had a visit with the tech and she was so sweet, but I'm not sure how my eye is going to look tomorrow morning. This really bums me out since I have a wax pass and I have gone to EWC for 2 years now. I'm not sure what to do.. As many times as I have gone to get a wax, I never had such a horrible experience. Which lasted over weeks. The African American girl who works here tends to use tweezers to pluck out hair from your pubic area and think that's okay. SHE rushed through my appointment and ripped the wax off me. I was i so much pain on the verge of tears. She continued in an angry manner. She has caused me ingrown hairs and left me with a huge gaping hole on my pubis. Please beware when someone uses tweezers and when they rush through the process. It will cause major damage. read more

Arrived 15 minutes before my noon appointment that was confirmed on the European Wax Center website. The receptionist said they had no record of my appointment. I showed them their own website. She said all I could do was to reschedule at a later time or date. I had driven 45 minutes to get there, thus wasting over two hours by the time I got home. The manager did not have the curtesy of coming to the front and discussing the issue with me. They made no attempt to squeeze me in or do anything to compensate me for their mistake. I can't believe I am leaving this review.. but I am SUPER disappointed in EWC front office staff... especially at this location!! I want to start off with letting you know I have been a LOYAL customer since 2018 and because of today's interaction over the phone I was DONE. I usually try and book my appointments through the app... and I always 9/10 book with MIA who is hands down AMAZING! I overlook the staff interaction because of her here... but no today I called let them know I was 5 mins late and they wanted to reschedule and I was like I live around the corner I usually have no issues I understand the late policy but the attitude and no empathy from the staff member didn't help either... she was like well yeahs that policy we can get you back in an hour or 45 minutes I said okay and asked if we can add my service of the tint brow she said no not today it would have to be booked later... I was like when I go I shall am able to get the tint on and then waxed and it's done in 20 mins or less she said no we can't do that. I was like you know what it's fine I cancelled and booked at another EWC that was able to do it. But I was so fed up and annoyed since the other location was 20 minutes further out... but I have one tint pass left and I'm going to let that expire I honestly am done. I used to renew and get the wax passes but nope not anymore. I have booked my appointment with hello sugar. Their waxers are also the ones who check in their staff and I have heard it's better for your skin to do the sugar. So looking forward to better customer service. This location is horrible - go to another! I have a annual package and booked an appointment. I sat in the lobby for 40 minutes for a 1PM appt with Nicole. and I continued to sit in lobby while the 1:15appts got taken back and receptionist just tells me - sorry. Another 15 minutes later 1:30 appts were walking up, and still noting for me and no one could tell me that I would even be seen to be out by 2:00 (an hour passed my appt for a 15 minutes service). On top of that the manager wasn't even there to help out her team so they could get back on schedule... Luckily I could transfer my package to another location that graciously helped me. I started waxing mid year with Haylee and I will never go back to shaving! Each appointment she checks in on how I'm feeling about the growth of the hair afterwards and if I'm experiencing irritation post appointment which I never do, and she always takes the time to tweeze out the stubborn ones! Super smooth and lasts for weeks! 10/10 would recommend booking with Haylee especially if you are younger and new to waxing, I'm in my mid 20s and feel more comfortable with someone around my age group.
