Since being in Anchorage, I've tried one other Indian restaurant but so far, Everest has easily become my favorite. I've now been there twice, and both visits have been consistently excellent. The first thing you notice when you walk in is the smell. It's amazing. The warm aroma of spices fills the air immediately rich, fragrant, and comforting. Every time I step inside, it makes me even more excited to sit down and eat. So far, I've tried the chicken tikka masala, goat curry, chicken korma, and butter chicken, and while everything has been good, the real stars of the dinners have been the goat curry and the korma. The goat curry is deeply flavorful and beautifully seasoned, with tender meat and a rich, slow-cooked depth that really stands out. It has that hearty, authentic taste that keeps you going back for another bite. The chicken korma has also been exceptional smooth, creamy, and perfectly balanced with warm spices. It's comforting without being too heavy and full of flavor without overpowering your palate. The chicken tikka masala and butter chicken were both delicious as well creamy, satisfying, and well-prepared but the goat curry and korma are the dishes I find myself thinking about afterward. What really stands out about Everest is the consistency. Both visits delivered bold flavors, generous portions, and that welcoming, spice-filled atmosphere that makes you want to come back again. If you're craving Indian food in Anchorage, this is definitely the spot I'd recommend first.

June 2024 - decent stop for a quick buffet lunch or dinner, taste of the food is acceptable, the servers and hospitality is great This restaurant appears to be Nepali origin, I would recommend to try their Nepali fare - momos, soups etc Restaurant and restrooms are clean

What a blast! We had my birthday dinner at Everest and they did such a good job and the food was AMAZING. Don't sleep on the okra and the gobi Manchurian in particular. One of our favorite restaurants in Anchorage!

Food was delicious, but service was lacking. Took a long time to be seated & even longer to order. Seems like the priority was on the drive thru/carry out orders & not so much the dine in customers. Could easily be a 5 star restaurant for me, just add more dining room staff. Seems like once the kitchen got the order, it came out quickly, was piping hot & fresh. Would suggest just getting a pickup order.

Went in to try the lunch buffet. A perfect way to try a lot of different dishes for only $20. Also, brought us out a basket for fresh naan. Everything tasted super good. Staff was very nice and attentive. Will be back to this restaurant soon.

0 Star Very bad service - never going back! They gave our order to someone else and then blamed us, saying we had taken the food. The waiter was extremely rude and said he would check the cameras. Eventually, they realized it was their mistake, but even after that, no apology at all. And to make things worse, when they finally gave us our order, it was incomplete! If you make an error, the least you can do is own up to it and be polite. Unfortunately, this place has horrible customer service.

This place goes so hard. My leftover plate of food does not do this place justice because my bestie was so excited to eat the food that we forgot to take a picture of the presentation. Even though this was a take out order this place delivers on all things from friendly service and high quality food stuffed with flavour. If there's anything to brighten your atmosphere, Everest does not disappoint.

Friendly staff and decent food. Dining room looks a little old and dated but the food compensated for it. Food came quickly, the beryani chicken was flavorful and spicy. We also ordered garlic naan and chicken vindoloo.

Lamb chops were absolutely delicious. Loved the spice rub on them. Butter chicken was not the best I ever had but solid. Not particularly the most attentive waiters. Overall taste was great and I'd try many more things on the menu.

Throughly enjoyed the food. They were great about modulating the heat of the dishes to the customer. You can either order off the menu or have the buffet. Service was good.

This place is an ENORMOUS disappointment

Amazing food every time. I order chicken tiki Marsala, gobi Manchurian, somas, and garlic naan. I have had their chicken lollipop and okra.

My family and I came here twice during our trip to Anchorage since they have reliably good food at a great value. I got to try their Himalayan chicken, Palak Paneer, Chicken Achari, and Lhasa Momos. The flavor of everything is great, and the family favorite for us was the Palak Paneer. So much flavor and super rich. The flavors of the Achari and Himalayan chicken were good too, although the chicken was a little dry. The Lhasa Momos were delicious as well (and each dumpling is pretty big). We placed orders for takeout and everything is ready pretty quickly!! With super friendly service too. Parking situation: on-site

The food is a better value at this location, but it isn't nearly as nice inside as the cafe. It's very cramped and dated looking. Their parking lot was full, so I parked across the street and prayed I wouldn't get towed. The food was good, but nothing special. My samosas were tasty, but way bigger than they needed to be for an app. By the time my food came, I was too full to really enjoy it. I got the dal, which was very runny. It had more delicately flavored than I was expecting as well. Not exciting. At all Service was excellent, which is the only reason for 3 stars. Food was unmemorable. I might go back for 2nd try someday, but not anytime soon.

Starting out dipping veggie Samosas in mint sauce or red sauce( I don't remember the name) was a scrumptious beginning to a tasty meal. Hubby ordered a rice pilaus-chicken biryani. The waitress, who was lovely and informative, had our food seasoned 'just right' for neophyte palates. A cool white sauce cut through the spices. All partnered well with a piping hot cup of milky tea. Music was a fun Indian rap like background with plenty of nice pictures to create an eastern atmosphere.
