Ordered Beef and Black Bean Rice Noodles (flat wide noodles). The portion is generous. Not getting much "wok he" flavor but noodles were good. The noodles were a dry fry version, no sauce. First time ordering noodles here so did not know what to expect. Prefer the sauce version of this dish. Also, ordered vegetable spring rolls (3) since they crossed out chicken wings under the appetizers section of the menu. Vegetable spring rolls were crispy even after I got them home. Noodles $9.49 + Egg Rolls $3.49 = Total Bill $14.20 after tax. Not bad at all for the portion size of the noodles. Wish the had more noodle dish options like a typical Cantonese style restaurant. read more

I had come here for to-go every time since the portions you get for the price is insanely good. I always come for a tray of orange chicken, pepper chicken, and walnut shrimp. The orange chicken can differ each time you get it, sometimes it's crunchy sometimes it's not. The pepper chicken can sometimes be dry and you only get so much for the walnut shrimp. The past week I had called for a to-go and it was insanely hard to get my message thru that I wanted a tray of the orange chicken. I'm always looking to support local businesses, but I don't appreciate poor customer service. The hours posted on Yelp and online state that Evergreen Panda closes at 9pm. I arrived at the store at 8:30pm and the cashier locked the door in front of us. If your hours are inaccurate, please make the change. For future, maybe communicate to customers what's going on instead of shutting the door in their face. There are great reviews about the food for Evergreen Panda on Yelp, but their service and management is absolutely awful. Maybe I'll give them another chance in the future if I'm in the area, but this was extremely disappointing. read more

Everything from my previous review still stands except for the fact that in my most recent visit here, I had to wait 42 minutes for my small order of a 3 plate combination. A little ridiculous if you ask me! Came in around 8:30 PM on a Saturday night so I guess it's fair to expect a wait time. My order was taken right away (there was one person in line ahead of me), but the food, it took an absurd amount of time to come out. I would find it to be more reasonable for a large order but my order was so standard. I don't understand what was going on or how they got so backed up, as it seemed like everyone else who was in there before me also placed pretty regular sized orders. So, minus one star, down to 4. My suggestion to anyone who wants to come here is to call in and order ahead. It'll save you a lot of time! read more

I always pass by this place when I go to CVS or Lucky's or drop something off at the UPS store. Decided to try it one night with the boyfriend on a Monday night. When we ordered which was aroung 7ish there was a 35-40 minute wait. We got eggplant with pork, beef black bean chow fun, and a three item combo (sweet n sour pork, mixed veg n tofu, beef broccoli). The prices are very cheap about $7 each plate and they give a lot of food. The parts we enjoyed were the sweet n sour pork and eggplant pork. The pork was nice and crispy and the sauce was standard. The eggplant was delicious, doused in chili oil and garlic, but the one thing I would say is that the pork tasted old. The chow fun was old too, stuck together, and worse, there were burnt pieces of the pan mixed throughout so the entire dish just tasted unpleasant. Also, not enough beef or black bean flavor. Basically, if you're in the mood for some Cantonese, then go here for the vegetables and fried items. Read on here to avoid the rice at all costs. read more

We live near Jade off Berryessa however wanted to give a new place a try even having to drive across the way... they only have one line for ordering and pick up. It would be nice for a busy place to have two lines ;not everyone knows exactly what they want right away, others already placed order over phone. They seemed well staffed. The vegetables were delicious according to my hubby and he's pretty particular about vegetables from fast food places. The honey walnut prawns had a thin batter which other places do not. The batter was crisp light and flavorful. You actually can taste the prawns not lathered in Mayo sauce. A nice light sweetness with pop. The chow mein wasn't bad. The salt and pepper fish light batter tasty. Orange Chicken was nice but thick batter. Sweet and sour chicken flavor nice but over cooked the chicken was too chewy. We always get party trays here. It's cheap and portions are big. My favorite dish is the beef chow fun.. wide noodles, YUM! I recently got the small tray for a potluck. The receptionist told me it feeds 10-15 and I was shocked cuz it was only $30... like WHAT?!?!?!!!! It's not expensive!!) these people do great tasty food. Their Walnut Shrimp is now my favorite, less breading than other places and no sloppy Mayo, think of the stuff that is on Cracker Jacks and you have EXCELLENT walnut shrimp. Their egg rolls are legit, their everything else is great. Is it hard to get through when you call? Yes. Sometimes. But that's a testimony to the poor girl up front , she is doing everything.
