This is one of my favorite dim sum for togo. I often stop by here every 2 weeks to buy dim sum. Why? Because it is affordable and delicious. My favorite will be seafood sumai and shrimp balls. Besides that, I may order chicken feet and spare ribs. They also offer different combos so that you will have more choices at a lower price. The servers are flash. They are just really quick. I love it. Even they speak broken English, they will understand English really well. No wonder about the language barrier. Good place, good to-go food. I will give this place 9/10. read more

My family has been coming here specifically for their congee for 10+ years. When I got all 4 of my wisdom teeth out years ago, their pork and thousand-year-old egg porridge was all I ate. Their prices have increased over the years, but compared to many of these shiny new iPad dim sum places that have replaced many of these no-frills mom and pop to-go dim sum places since *COVID*, it's a good deal. Don't expect to be pampered by 5-star service when coming here and don't expect the food to knock your socks off--many items are hit or miss. BUT it beats the soulless process of ordering through an iPad and getting your order spat out of the restaurant conveyor belt that's so commonplace these days for some food that tastes just okay. If I'm going to be served okay food I'd rather it be served to me by a human thank you very much. My usual go-to order from here is the egg tarts, since I love that they have flaky crusts instead of the cookie crust but yesterday when picking up a Doordash order I decided to order their 2 item Chinese BBQ over rice. I ordered the roast duck and crispy pork belly over rice and the lady asked if I wanted vegetables and soup too, so I was pleasantly surprised. Although I feel like other places have better quality Chinese BBQ, this place is good if you're in a pinch or happen to be in the area. My only complaint is that their online ordering on their website doesn't work and their Doordash menu doesn't have everything on it. Luckily I was able to order the Chinese BBQ when I came to pick up the Doordash order. This is more of a grab and go place, since most of the seating area has been taken up by boxes. I usually come here and get the shrimp dumplings and the pork dumplings and fried rice. Yesterday I bought the same and brought it home to eat. The shrimp dumplings were not fresh anymore but tasted a little better after microwaving them. The pork dumplings were still so good as always. But the fried rice when I opened up the box the fried rice was already sour smelling. The fried rice over all was just soggy but I still tried a small spoonful and I knew it wasn't good anymore. The next day, today, I wanted to try it for breakfast but the fried is still soggy, mushy, and when I tried to pick up a little bit of it, it had like strands of something in there that looked like spider webs. It was really thin and just hanging. I remember this Korean fried rice dish with cheese at the bottom and it was amazing. This fried rice from HK dim sum is really bad. Thankfully this is the first time I've ever gotten bad fried rice from this place because they are normally very good and I've eaten here for about three years so after this experience I had to say something. It is kind of expensive too so I don't come unless I am craving it. Anyways, this will be my last time to buy their fried rice because it was so bad I am tossing it. --UPDATE January 17, 2025- Today I stopped by to get two orders of the shrimp dumplings and I told one of the ladies that worked there about my experience with the fried rice. I kept talking and talking about it and she asked me over and over what size fried rice did I get. I said I ordered the smallest one but the guy at the time gave me the medium one of fried rice. She said she asked me so she could know how much to refund me. I couldn't believe she wanted to do that. I was hesitant and said I'll never order their fried rice ever again. And she said sorry and actually refunded me for how much I paid. I felt bad getting mad at her and said she didn't do anything and didn't have to say sorry. Anyways I got my money back for the fried rice and sat there at the table and ate my shrimp dumplings quietly. I didn't know they would ever do something honest like this but they did. BBQ is on point, the grilled pork or the duck is a must have. 5/5 Dim Sum is actually pretty mediocre but for a quick meal, it's not too bad. We ordered har gow, shui mai, the fried chive dumplings and the fried pork dumpling shaped like a football. The steamed dumplings were very doughy and tough, it is not restaurant quality har gow and the fillings did not taste like fresh shrimp. The fried dumplings were a bit on the greasy side. I got so much food for what I paid! They literally STUFFED the chow mein into the container until it was packed (only $6 too!) The pan fried chive dumplings were definitely more heavy and dense than the ones I'm used to but they were still tasty. I also had to grab an egg tart for dessert because its must. It was huge! 9/5/2020 doordashed brunch No fault of the restaurant that our doordash order was approximately 30 minutes late on arrival but what arrived wasn't exactly what we ordered let alone served cold. We ordered $80 worth of stuff. The prawn rolls are my kids fav when eating dim sum and this place skimps yah a whole shrimp. Their rolls only have 2 prawns vs the normal 3 you get eating at most dim sum places so the ratio here is definitely more noodle roll. Our "deep fried" shrimp pepper was super cold and was an absolutely gross. We ordered 3 servings too (smh) and I guess they were short a piece randomly so substituted a shrimp tofu in the batch?? Equally not great. Their dim sum is slightly larger than expected but in this realm, bigger isn't technically better. So bummed. The lotus sticky rice was well descent among everything we ordered. It wasn't until I started this review that I realize I didn't have a good in person experience either. Also it's usually very expensive for a whole duck for me to just try a bite. The people I usually eat Chinese food with aren't down with duck entrees. Today was the day!!! This review is for take-out only. I've ordered delivery from here through DoorDash multiple times and I've been very satisfied with the food each time. The prices are reasonable, the lunch specials are a great deal for a lot of food, and the food has been very good each time I've ordered. I've been particularly impressed with their barbecue and roast meats. Their meats are much more flavorful and juicy compared to other local take-out dim sum places I've tried. The roast pork and roast duck have been good. The rice rolls are less dense than other places I've tried. Porridges are flavorful and other dim sum items I've tried generally have been delicious. This place always seems to satisfy my emergency dim sum cravings! It definitely isnt the best nor do they have the greatest service but they have your regular fixings up until late afternoon! The siu mai/har gow are large and hearty. Ok in flavor! The fried items are only good when fresh. I tried random assortments at random times of the day & here is my take. the chinese donuts were quite hard and stale so I do not recommend. The shrimp ball is very large but a little too oily for my liking. Taro ball was ok, lacked flavor. & the turnip cake was almost all cake barely any other texture or flavor but very large. Sesame ball also ok! They also have combo meals which i thought was very cool! The congee it comes with is not bad either. They give you packet sauces 2 in 1 combo for to go orders. Given how expensive dim sum is nowadays, the prices here are more reasonable. You may not get your best dim sum, but it is good enough to satisfy your cravings. As for presentation, you can throw that out the door as well. Don't go thinking you'll find cute dim sum or incredible Instagramable food here.. it's all about bang for your buck and honestly the food is not bad. In fact, i much rather eat here than the dim sum from Sifu Wong Kitchen in santa clara -- knowing that it's cheap, you are NOT going to expect amazing fancy dimsum is more satisfactory than paying $8 for 4 ha gao for just average tasting filling. Ha gao (shrimp dumpling): skin is SUPER thick i had to peel some of the skin off but the filling is tasty. the siu mai and all the other items are really big - i have never seen such ginormous Ham Sui Gok (the glutinous football looking thing with filling) before. Though it's a bit too oily but overall the taste is there and it is crispy on the outside, chewy inside and you get a good amount of filling to mochi too. Not just a teaspoon of filling that you may get at a restaurant. we also really like this fried dumpling with pork, shrimp, and woodear (forgot what it's called, but it's wrapped in wonton skin and deep fried). the egg tart is a hit or missed. First time i had it was really good, buttery flaky crust with warm jiggly egg custard. The second time, the crust wasn't buttery and was a bit too dry. I'm still in shock that I put myself, my body, and my tastebuds through this sad excuse of a business. Came here because a family member absolutely raaaaaved about HK Dim Sum. This spot was actually thrown out as an idea for a family get together previously & after tonight, you couldn't pay me to come back. First and foremost, the dim sum selection around 6pm was pitiful. There were 3 kinds to choose from and with the glass case being super filthy and oily, I couldn't really see what I was looking at. Thinking it was the safest bet, we settled with two orders of shrimp dumplings, fried taro puffs, and 2 bbq item combo served with rice. The dim sum dishes came out first and I was immediately turned off by how dry and discolored the har gow was. Clearly they had been sitting out all day and were all dried up and crusty along the sides. The bbq plate looked okay but it was clear that the roasted pork and duck were also dry from sitting out for too long. We managed to eat what we could and although we walked away full from all the junk, we were not even close to being happy. Total cost wasn't too expensive but at $3.80- $4.00 a serving for the dry a** dumplings, I'm gonna confidently say HELL NAHHH!! Hot dog buns - there was only half a hot dog in the bun so it's 90% bread. This is the first time I've seen a hot dog bun where the hot dog wasn't whole! I get times are hard but what the.... Fried Taro with shrimp/pork - I threw this out, it smelled like ammonia :( which means they either started with pork or shrimp that went bad or they refried and served me old food? Either way I actually had taken a couple of bites of this before noticing it was off? Got a stomach ache a few hours later. Har Gow - only thing that was OK. It gets 1 star for this. I think you have to look at this place in three parts: the baked goods, the dim sum, and the roasted duck/pork as they all vary in quality even within their respective categories. The review is for to-go orders only because that's what I think the place is intended for. Roasted Duck/Pork section is located in the right corner by the door. Excellent, consistent cook and meat quality all around for a decent price. 4/5 Dim Sum options are the typical items you'd order at a dim sum restaurant, but meant to be reheated for to-go since they're just sitting on racks and under heat lamps. The Siu Mai are huge, juicy, and probably their best item. The Har Gow however, was really dry inside and out while wrapped in a very thick rice sheet which made it unpleasant. Baked goods are scattered throughout on either side of the line and there are racks on racks of them. The large Bánh Bao were not worth $3.80 for their quality. That along with most of their filled baked goods such as the buns, were mostly just dough. They really skimp you on the filling. Wack. They have a bunch of these in the freezer too, but judging by this fresh one, I wouldn't buy more than 1 if they're all like that. Sooo..I ordered this for delivery and was in a hurry to get something for lunch that I didn't look up this place. It's listed as "Hong Kong Best Dim Sum Tai Pan" and had good ratings within that app. So I just ordered some of my go-tos for dim sum. Hargow is still the best thing but it's nothing special. The fried shrimp balls didn't taste so bad this time, but they were pretty bland. I crisped them a bit in a toaster oven so that helped. The shrimp rolls were way too thick and didn't have much shrimp in it. I wasn't pleased with them being packaged like someone jammed them into the smallest container they could fit them in. Some parts of them were all torn up. The seafood siu mai were the worst, but not terrible. I just really don't like soggy peas and they filled them with a lot of that.
