This is our go-to Chinese takeout spot, and it has never let us down. We almost always order their rice plates and upgrade them with BBQ pork fried rice and chow mein. The portions are incredibly generous for the price and offer great value. One plate is usually enough to last me two to three meals. Both were very crispy and well seasoned. We wish the taste and fire of the Wok shined more in our dishes, as it was a bit warm and not hot even though we ate it almost immediately. This place is solid if you are looking for a quick Chinese take out option. The inside of the restaurant was fairly clean and the gentleman in the front was very friendly when taking our lunch order. Solid and affordable Chinese food. We've had it several times already and I'm pretty sure I plan on getting it soon. We also ordered catering for our baby shower and it was a hit. The portions were generous, especially the broccoli beef. They definitely don't skimp on the beef. The chow mein was not dry at all and nicely seasoned. Overhyped, but not bad. Been a local here all my life and hadn't tried Jade China until recently. I very much prefer Evergreen Panda, but this place is alright. Ordering on their website and picking up was easy. The restaurant is clean with ample seating. We had the Combo #3: Sweet and Sour Pork, Chow Mein, Fried Rice, and Chicken wings. As of 12/2025, it was less than $13. I'll start with what I liked most. The Chow Mein is good, non-greasy, and nicely portioned. There were sizable chicken pieces with a nice distribution of veggies. Chicken Wings were good as well: crispy, juicy, lightly seasoned, non-greasy. Comes with a side of red "egg roll" sauce. They were very tender and the meat was flavorful. Fried Rice was bland. Lovely soy color and nice veggie and pork distribution, but it wasn't very flavorful. Pairs well with the other sides, but I wouldn't want to eat this as is. As for the sweet and sour pork, I was pretty disappointed. Unsure if I had a bad batch, but the sauce felt thin and akin to eggroll sauce, rather something more viscous and sticky. I liked that the pork was sliced and easy to eat, but it was dry and not flavorful at all. The batter is light and airy, but couldn't save the dish. Would not order this again. Overall, a decent fast Chinese restaurant that's beloved by the community. I'm sorry...but I'm not a fan. My partner looooves this spot. He would order from here far more often than I wanted. The food is....OK. It's just okay. I find it to be super greasy, and it always leaves me feeling a bit off. Yes, the portions are great, they are fast, and the price is right. That's not enough to keep me coming back though. To top it off, I finally picked up the food myself instead of sending someone else and this hole-in-the-wall is dingy. Just the site of it made me loose my appetite. Surprised to read some of these postings. Came here for dinner during the weekend. There was a small line to the register that went by quick. Tables inside for small groups or one big group. More of like a to-go or quick dinner spot. The menu was posted at the counter as well as on the window so you can view your options before going in. They offer tons of options, original items and the usual favorites. The price was insane. I have no other idea where one can go to get quality chinese food, made fresh to order for the prices they have. Especially in this economy, prices have remained steady and worthy throughout the years. The food came out pretty quickly and let me tell you, the good tasted sooooo good. Each plate was flavorful, some items had their own unique twist. This will Definitely be my go to for original Chinese food. If you have an extra 10-15 minutes, it is better than any quick chinese spot like panda and better prices. Their combination meals are less than $12!!!! Where else can you get that?! Yeah I'm trying Jade China on Berryessa at the request of longtime follower Ian Jose. Honestly pretty good Chinese takeout, but I can't help but feel that it's overhyped by the locals. Evergreen Panda is better. Bbq Pork Fried rice: honestly pretty good, a little bland though. Maybe slightly worse than Golden Buddha and EV Panda. Mongolian beef: impressive spice level, but way too many onions. The beef also had a strange texture. It was spongy and didn't taste like beef. Sweet and Sour Pork: the shining star of this restaurant. Reminds me of the sweet and sour Pork in Japan's Yokohama chinatown. The meat is tasty and the sauce is not too sweet. Price is fine, around $14 for this combo plate. At EV panda it would be around $10. Portion is solid but nothing too crazy. The service is fantastic. The staff is super friendly and accommodating. The food is good here, but the service today was terrible, granted I understand it's a holiday and I get the staff is crazy busy with orders but that doesn't excuse your behavior. I called at 11:00am to place my order and they said it would be about an hour. I arrive at 12:40pm to give them plenty of time. When I get there and asked about my order the cashier goes to the back and I see the chefs and cashier start laughing when he asked them about my combo plate. Been a regular here for several years. Bentos are good value and affordable: portions are generous, heaping with food and easy feeds 2-3. Other recommendations include anything fried. We had just under a 1:1 ratio of items to people (less items than people) and had tons of leftovers. Great for a night in after everyone's exhausted. The thick chow fun noodles are all well seasoned and they got that "wok hei", wok infused char flavor. There's more chow fun than veggies and meat which I loooove. I'm all about them noods. A common theme among their dishes is their garlic sauce. Anything you see with it will be delicious. Personal favorites of mine are string beans with garlic sauce or crispy beef with garlic sauce. It's a bit sweet with lots of umami flavor. It's good with everything really... I would say their fried rice is good too but definitely not as good as their chow fun. What can I say? I love their chow fun, one of the best I've ever had. They also offer a Black Bean Chow Fun which is pretty good especially if you like the black bean flavor. I prefer the House Chow Fun over anything but the black bean is a close second. I would avoid their crab rangoons here personally because I think the cream cheese mixture could use a bit more green onions.
