Combo chow mein and chicken with chili sauce
    Chad G.

We sat down at a table. The menu is a QR code and you order through that. There are a lot of items you can choose from. There wasn't much interaction with the waitress besides when she brought our food. We ordered the string bean with beef, which was good, the combo chow mein and combo fried rice, pot stickers and the chicken with chili sauce. The food came out super quick besides the potstickers. Those took a while. I liked all the food besides the chicken with chili sauce. It's a cold app and I didn't really like it but my gf did so that's okay. There are about a dozen tables and the biggest table I would say fits 6 so any more than that you might be at different tables. It's a little hole in the wall place and overall decent. I took a star off since there wasn't much service. When I go to a place, even with a QR code for a menu, I still expect there to be some kind of service like for instance to check up on us and ask how is everything. Overall 4/5

Terrible service, okay food. My family and I have been coming to May Flower for years, before and after the ownership change. The food has ranged from acceptable to decent - depending on the dish you get. Recently we went back and the female waitress, (who I do not believe is part of the ownership), treated us terribly. Between complaining that we came in before she was ready (it was a few minutes past opening already), to scowling at us when we asked for water, then subsequently slamming the water cups down - it was an all around absurdly bad experience to remember. It's unfortunate because I liked a few of their home-style dishes, but I will not stand to be treated poorly like this for no apparent reason.

Discovered this gem on TikTok and I've been here twice in the last month. It's easy to drive by it without knowing what you're missing. Food: We ordered 4 dishes for 2 people both times we came. There was enough food to take home. Our favorites were the string beans with beef, wontons with hot sauce and the chicken fried rice. Every dish had a different taste to it and we liked the variety of flavors Service: You come in and they'll tell you where to sit then you scan the QR code to order. They serve you hot tea while you wait for your food. We waited less than 15 minutes for our food to start coming out Both times we came there were other people but still enough places to sit. It's a simple, clean restaurant and has quickly become one of our favorite Chinese restaurants! Will definitely come back. Only reason I gave 4/5 stars is because I prefer lower sodium than most people

Cute little spot with a very wholesome ambiance. The various noodles I tried were good. My favorite dish was the fried eggplant. Service was friendly.

The kitchen is efficient. The pricing is super reasonable by today's standards. Two dishes that will keep me coming back are their scallion pancake and tea smoked duck. Absolutely authentic Chinese. Could not be improved. I'm eager to try more dishes.

We came here for Lunar New Year and found the small restaurant full of people celebrating. We were able to snag a table and we're given a free pot of hot tea. Ordering is done by QR code system and our dishes arrived quickly. We ordered: Vegetable egg roll 3.5/5 (filling had good flavor but was mushy inside indicating likely being frozen) Shredded bean curd 4.5/5 Vegetable chow fun 3/5 (bland) String beans with mushroom 5/5 (best string beans I've ever had, forgot to take a pic it was so good) Salt and pepper tofu 3.5/5 (excellent tofu, lacked seasoning) This is a true hidden gem with authentic dishes and good vegetarian options. Can't wait to be back!

What days and times do they serve dim sum?

Only early on weekends and it's so so

Do the Xiao Long Baos have shrimp in them?

    Are they open in thanksgiving?

Yes we will be open on thanksgiving.

    Is xlb offered weekend only?

No. They serve it all day (lunch/dinner) mid week and weekends. My sister and I have been at least a dozen times since we've found this place. Never had them tell us otherwise. Enjoy!

    Is dimsum offered on weekdays?

The answer is yes. They have it listed on their menu for the weekend but I come in often and get things off the menu mid week as well. Just ask for what you want and they'll accommodate

How does this place compare to the XLB from Din Tai Fung?

For the price, I'd pick this place. Din Tai Fung is pretty pricey.

Getting them to-go or taking them home just isn't the same experience--they are best enjoyed hot right out of the kitchen. The Environment: The restaurant itself is very basic and could definitely use a deep clean, especially the floors. If you're looking for a romantic lunch, a date spot, or a sleek environment, you will be disappointed. Final Verdict: I definitely recommend this spot if you want a fast, delicious dumpling fix and don't care much about ambiance. Just lower your expectations for the decor, dine in, and enjoy the food!

If you're going to be paying $60-$70 for two people, you would at least expect your food not to be burnt and the staff not be rude! I have been looking forward to going to this place for two years, it was a birthday dinner and I was so disappointed by my experience. I understand that it's downtown San Jose and we came in the evening, so maybe that's just how closing staff is. First off when we were seated, I asked to be moved to a more comfortable's table because the chairs were really uncomfortable for me. The staff seemed irritated and said "I guess" which was the first red flag because it's nerve-racking enough to ask for a special request and to be met with an unprofessional answer like that was disheartening. Secondly, two orders of dumplings came out burnt, which was seriously disappointing. We could barely eat them. We didn't end up finishing them. I brought this up to staff. He told me they weren't burnt and that's just how they are. I know the difference between burnt and browned and these were definitely burnt hard on the bottom and inedible. He begrudgingly told me well "I'm sorry but you'd still would have to pay for another order". I don't think that's fair at all so I said "it's fine were ok" I don't wanna give this company any more of my money anyway if this is how they treat their customers. Lastly, once we were done with our food and paid the check, the man came back to our table and asked us if there was anything he could do for us and how if we enjoyed our meal this felt like a slap in the face after everything I've already asked of him that he refused and denied and being met with a disingenuous offer just felt petty. All in all, I wouldn't go here if you're looking for food that is not burnt Service that is helpful and hospitable. Andexperience that is anything above fast casual dining.

The little ones really liked the porcelain mascot character inside. They had high chairs for both kids making feeding easier. The pig ear was great but I think the family likes a bit more flavor with the cucumbers, some were ok but some did not have much vinegar at all. We then shared the signature Wagyu big bus and wife got the spicy beef miishien soup. The signature broth was creamy, milky and so delicious! The kids loved the noodles and flavors. The place looked inviting when I picked up the food. Parking was plenty.
