Walnut shrimp was delicious! Walnuts tasted a little stale/plain but the shrimp tasted so good! Perfect crispy texture without being made soggy by the sauce. Salt & pepper tofu had the perfect seasoning, but the tofu pieces became soft and lost crispness too quickly from being steamed in the box. Decent prices and pretty good value. This has been my family's go to Chinese food for years now. The portions are generous and quality is consistent. We always call our order in and is usually ready within 20-30 minutes. So one of my wife's co-workers ordered some party trays for her Christmas party last Friday, and YES, I'm an instant fan. The Walnut Prawns were craveable, and the prawns themselves were huge. I made my way back a couple time because it was so darn good. They also ordered Peppered beef, and that was also really good as well. There was also chow mein and fried rice, but I saved my stomach space for the prawns, beef, and other good eats available. Solid spot! Portions are great considering the price. There can be some hit or miss items but a lot of good choices and pretty consistent once you find your favorites! Phone orders can be tough as the line is usually busy, so you may need to just order in-person. Parking isn't usually an issue in this plaza. This isn't a sit down and eat type of place at all - no tables or bathroom, just some chairs on the side while you're waiting. My favorites are the Salt & Pepper Chicken Wings. Their wings are so crispy without the batter being too thick or tough! I've tried their S&P fish but the batter wasn't as good in my opinion. No complaints about their beef chow fun! On the other hand, I did order a medium-sized party tray of the chow mein from them before and it was lacking flavor. One of the best Chinese food spots in East San Jose! The portions are huge, and everything I've tried has been delicious. They also offer large party trays, which are perfect for gatherings. Ordered the walnut shrimp and egg rolls (comes with pork, they don't offer veggie) on a Saturday evening. Tables and seats were stacked against the walls (almost like storage), not sure why they even have this if it's only a takeout restaurant... the seating was good for the numerous customers waiting for their orders though. No decor or menu posted, just a print out menu taped to the front counter, a very uninviting atmosphere, even if no dine-in option. But just a 15 minute wait for my order and the food was fantastic. Some of the best walnut shrimp I ever had, not too sweet or saucy, but definitely flavorful, cooked perfectly, and good sized. The egg rolls were nice and crisp, freshly made, and filled with tasty veggies and ground pork. All of this at an affordable price. Minus one star since service and atmosphere were severely lacking, at least during my recent visit. But they definitely offer good value here. read more

Quick Update: Be patient when ordering via phone orders. It took a while before I can get through but I noticed by the time I did call in I was placed, "on hold". I was actually placed down and heard the love in line guest ordering so it's semi-understandable. Again, be patient. We ordered a lot of food today for a small friend gathering and below will be my ratings. - Beef Chow Fun 5/5 My first time ordering and it was really good, with the flavor profile. Beef was superrr tender. - Honey Walnut Shrimp 4/5 More so due to picking up our order late from the time frame suggested, but the coating still had its crunch. - Eggplant w Garlic-sauce 3/5 First time ordering this too... I'm not an overly cooked eggplant person so that's just my preference. To you, you could love it. - String Beans w Garlic-sauce 4/5 Overly cooked also as I love having a crunch on my veggies even though I'm not a veggie person in general. - Combo Fried Rice 5/5 My goodness the serving portion on this was literally double what we normally order from what I can remember. The orders provide a fairly large quantity, none of which goes to waste in our household. Our latest order included the Peking Ribs and Hot & Sour Soup. The soup was nicely crowded with ingredients, which I really liked. Note, AMEX is not supported here, but VISA is. Unknown what other credit cards are taken. I love Evergreen panda! It's a great fast food takeout Chinese place to go. Since a pandemic, they have been takeout only but the food is good. It's definitely not the best Chinese food I've ever had, but it's fast food takeout places go, this is definitely a step above. it fits right in that nice sweet spot between fast food and sit down. The portions are huge and tasty. We've been here at least a dozen times and have always been satisfied. FOOD: The food here is good. Always prepared fresh, we love the fried wontons with meat filling, the sweet-and-sour chicken, the noodles, and the sizzling rice soup. Their Kung pow chicken is not as saucy or spicy as I usually like it, but the chicken is great and high-quality. And of course, the amount of food you get is always worth it. I do enjoy the salt and pepper fish, but there are certain things we always go back to like the fried wontons which make for a great appetizer. SERVICE: Service is spotty. It's hard to predict when you can get a hold of them and when you cannot. They don't always answer their phone even if they are there. And interestingly, they are closed on Tuesdays. A lot of Asian places are closed on Mondays, but for some reason, they close on Tuesdays so it always kind of throws me off when I want good takeout on Tuesday. Still, it's worth putting up with the amount of food you get at a takeout place. COST: Great cost for the amount of food! Just look at the pictures and you'll see why it's worth it. Tons of food for a reasonable price. It's hard to go wrong with this place. Since this is a follow up review, you can just ignore my last review. Was done on time. We ordered a lot of food and it came to $60 or so - a great value. The owners/workers were super nice. Food delicious. The orange chicken was crispy and had a lot of sauce. The broccoli beef was okay. The chow mein was alright, I wished it had more flavor. The egg roll was the highlight of the meal. We waited to eat the food when we got home 20 minutes later and I was a bit disappointed that it was a bit cold by then. The food fulfilled my Chinese cravings. Place was extremely unwelcoming. Upon coming in it being our first time we were completely lost on what to order because there wasn't exactly a clear menu and pricing for everything. Once I had figured out what to order the lady was staring at me and I had to look behind me to make sure there wasn't someone behind me. She has no emotion in her face and kept cracking her knuckles. She stares you in your eyes making it extremely unsettling and unnerving. She speaks into a microphone and it comes out a speaker which is set very low so you can barely hear. She doesn't seem capable enough to handle the job. I would ask her questions and she didn't respond with full comprehension or confidence. Her job being costumer service and being the only person you speak to doesn't make it favorable. We ordered and waited and say along the chairs on the wall very uncomfortably in the environment. Eventually having sat there for 10 minutes and asked how long it would be and she said 30 more minutes. A 40 minute wait for fast food seemed very unreasonable. Having said that we asked for a refund and left immediately. The place seems outdated and probably won't pass health inspection if they go back into that kitchen. read more

It is clearly a Togo restaurant so no tables or chairs were available. Was given eta of 30 mins and after 30 mins, food was picked up. This spot does not offer dine in so we sped home to eat.
