I have been up since 1AM PST and was having a hard time processing why my direct flight from DTW to SFO got cancelled because it caused a domino effect w/ my kids and the logistics nightmare to get things squared away. Arrived close to 2 and wanted something to eat. I think food offerings at the airport have a bad rap. I was skeptical to try anything, but was enticed by eating some greens after nearly a whole week of eating freely. Lines were long, but staffed worked hard to make it go by fast. I originally wanted soup and a salad but didn't want to be too full so I opted for the sombrero salad. I added chicken for some protein. I did not modify my salad so the process went by smoothly and effortlessly. I managed to find a station I can work at a few steps away. Everything tasted fresh and delicious. I'm hardly ever pleased with an airport meal, but Evergreens was an exception. If you're looking for something tasty and healthy, give this place a try. It costs a little more than I'm typically willing to pay at the airport, but the curry bowl was totally worth it to me. The bowl was $18, but it was a meal and a half (two meals if you choose the standard two scoops of rice). There was a great variety of fresh vegetables, the sauce was flavorful, and there was about 6-7 ounces of steak in my bowl (relatively leaner cuts). The bowl is packed in a closed container and they offer bags for easy transport. My only gripe is that it's not a very warm bowl - the only warm ingredients are the rice and sauce. But, it tastes just fine at room temp. The service was super quick. The workers were friendly. The restaurant is located in the food court, so there is plenty of seating. read more

I went with their Chaatline Bling Salad ($10.47) in order to get my chickpea protein in with their mix of greens. I was able to customize my order to add more cilantro and chose from their two vegan friendly dressings. Had a layover from Anchorage to LA and wanted a little bite to eat. I spotted several pilots making their way to Evergreens and while some women may be following them for a different reason, I figured a pilot probably wants something yummy and healthy and not a meal that's going to have them slumped over in the cockpit. I decided I'd browse the menu and it looked super fresh and appealing; salads and wraps. I love a good Kale Caesar and I LOVE spicy, it's my go to order at sweetgreen Kale Caesar add hot sauce well this option here is sooo yummy, there's actual chopped jalapenos in it which add the spice. I got medium level dressing which I could have probably opted for light+ but it worked. I'm not sure if there dressing is vegan like sweetgreen, my best guess is it isn't - tasted a bit creamy but good nonetheless if you're ok to have dairy. The side bread which I usually opt out of at places I did not pass up here it's a super yumm focaccia which I'm pretty sure the croutons are made from. I snagged a sparkling from the refrigerator and this made for a really perfect filling dinner before boarding my plane home. If you're looking for a tasty option in this terminal I'd say check this place out for sure! Great service too, very friendly. read more

Wow, airport food that is actually healthy, who knew! If this were in PDX it would be a footnote, but being that it's in SEA: it's braggable. There aren't many restaurants open in this airport, less after 9pm, almost none after 10pm. I'm guessing this is a regional or Washington chain? It's kind of like a Subway or a Chipotle in that you construct your own meal. You can do a salad/bowl or a wrap. You get to choose multiple options of the following: base, toppings, proteins, dressings, finishes. If you're the indecisive type that doesn't know what you want in life (for example, if someone asked "do you want cheese?" and you take more than 3 seconds to respond, and say something like "uh.ummmmm.....hmmmm"), you don't have to order that way and you can just order from pre-built options. You should probably do that, to keep the line moving and preserve the sanity of people that know if they like cheese or not! Service was super-quick, and super-friendly. It contains avocado, pickled onion, Gorgonzola, bacon and hard boiled egg with a red wine vinaigrette. They measure ingredients as they make it. I was impressed that it had a half an avocado and a whole hard-boiled egg. The salad was very tasty and filling. I would have given it five stars, but the romaine didn't seem that fresh, and after all I did order a salad. I'll for sure be back to try it again next time I'm flying. read more

As a regular at this location, I'm disappointed to report less than 5 stars in my review. My orders are maxed out to the additions. I'm always adding meats, grains, bread, full dressing, etc. I have shown up for slow days and for busy days. I have ordered some new items, as well as my go-to regular options. Now that you know some background, I can move on to the frustrating findings. They often have romaine that has turned color. The avocado is cut so early that it also turns color by the time it makes it to the bowls. An easy fix to the avocado would be to use a little lemon or lime to prevent the discoloration. The romaine is ok on occasion, and there are substitutes. So the really frustrating thing is to pay for something and not receive it in the order. This has happened twice now. Being at a location where the prices are higher than street side establishments, you are looking at a monopoly. There are limited options within the roof of an airport. Because of that, I will continue to purchase from Evergreens. However, ordering their concoctions is like a complicated full fat milk, skinny mocha , no whip, 7 shot grande with a splash of cream latte. You HAVE to pay attention to their hands AND remember all the ingredients. It's understandable to skip something on accident. There is a lot to keep up with. I'm being too nice, perhaps. Would you overlook a inept salad that you paid dollars for? Would you continue to accept your fate every time you pay for something that may make you ill? Evergreens Seatac, make orders like YOU are paying for Marching on to a healthier eating fresh lifestyle is a high priority. I would like to see Evergreens make it a priority as well. So I stepped in here - no line, no wait, the chef/assembler recommended the Kale-Gate - Romaine + Kale, Spicy Pickled Green Beans, Red Bell Pepper, Grape Tomatoes, Celery, Gorgonzola, Crispy Onions, Southern Spices, I added chicken and asked for it in a wrap. Delivered in a paper bag. OMIGOD so good, the spicy beans and gorgonzola kicked butt! The wrap was sturdy, didnt leak until I got near the end. All wrapped in paper. I rounded out the order with an aluminum can based grapefuit spritz. So - if you're a tree-hugger like me, endeavoring to help save the planet one piece of plastic not used at a time, rejoice, you are safe here. Friendly service, quick, and delicious, and environmentally kind. Price was up there, after the drink and the chicken add-on I was at $17 (threw the change from my $20 in tip jar) - so $20.
