    CAUL ME MAYBE

I've been a loyal Evergreens patron for years! It has always been my go-to lunch spot whether at work, home, or the airport. Their food isn't healthy in a sad way, but rather I crave their salad bowls constantly (and can feel good about myself afterwards). They got amazing recíbeles but you can customize too! Caul Me Maybe was an amazing savory salad. Strawberry fields salad will always be my favorite (although it's sadly seasonal for the summer menu). Always fresh, delicious, customizable, and efficient!

Please come to Chicago, I need this place in my life. We did two make your owns and it was the best thing we've had so far during our trip. We ordered when we walked in and it only took a few minutes. There were loads of pick up orders being grabbed and the pick up station was so neat and organized. Service was incredibly friendly and helpful for us newbies.

This is a great place to order in a quick lunch! There are warm and cold options. I wish they would advertise their warm plates more because I didn't know for a long time. I used the app to place the order but my request for no pineapple was not fulfilled. I think this is an issue with the system, not any employee. When I checked my receipt it looked equally confusing to me! I also got their snickerdoodle cookie with low expectations, but I am so surprised at how great it was! It was moist and delicious. When I went in staff was very polite and wanted to help me, without me even asking for anything. Had I noticed the plate had pineapple before I took it home I am confident they are the style of staff who would have remade the whole thing for me. Really really great staff! The main dish was awesome.great portion for the price, and it really does fill you up without making you feel bloated or gross.

    The Situation 3.0! Very good.

Had the Med Over Heels in a group meeting today and it was FANTASTIC! Would choose them again and wish they were open on weekends.

Your chicken is going downhill. Past two times I've eaten it, it hasn't tasted fresh and it's been soft and mushy. Come on guys.

Great service, great salad...though for a Caesar, it was lacking some croutons, but I'll let it slide. Favourite Evergreens thus far.

A couple hours later, I checked again and there was 1 cancellation. I am SO glad we had the opportunity to try this place. It's small, so would be difficult for large parties. Our server was wonderful and very knowledgeable. The food was INCREDIBLE. Like close your eyes, and feel all the emotions while you're eating incredible. There was not a single dish I didn't enjoy. I would love to return and try the option where you get to try every antipasto, primo, and second on the menu for $122/person. Can't wait to come back to Seattle just for this!

Even though the restaurant wasn't particularly busy during our visit, our server was extremely quiet and difficult to hear, which made communication a bit challenging. One nice touch was the complimentary bread service, which came with a generous amount of butter. We started with the artichokes from the seasonal menu. I was expecting them to be served warm or roasted, but they arrived cold, which was admittedly a misunderstanding on my part. The accompanying sauce was excellent though and definitely saved the dish for me. We also ordered the tajarin al ragù, one of the restaurant's signature dishes. Unfortunately, this was where my expectations and experience diverged. The pasta felt under-seasoned to me, and the noodles seemed overcooked. Rather than the silky texture I was hoping for, I found myself eating what felt like clumps of dough. It was a dish I really wanted to love given its reputation, but it just didn't click for me. We weren't looking for a heavy dinner, so we only ordered a couple of items. It's entirely possible we came on an off night or simply didn't choose the restaurant's strongest dishes. I'd be open to giving Cascina Spinasse another try in the future, but this visit left me feeling a bit underwhelmed compared to the hype.

I tried to order the fettuccine de mare, listed at $29 (no extra fees on Toast), but they told me it would be $43. That already didn't make sense. Then the server says, "We actually have 50% off happy hour until 11, come in and dine." So I came in. Ordered a drink, escargot, and a steak medium rare. The escargot came out fine. Then... nothing. 39 minutes later (at 10:45pm), the server asks if I'm waiting on anything else. Yes... my steak. She goes to check, disappears, and then comes back with something that honestly felt DISTESPECTFUL. The steak looked like scraps. Uneven, mismatched chunks, all different sizes, with burnt, crispy edges and covered in sauce like they were trying to hide it. It didn't look like a single cut of meat it looked like pieces from multiple steaks thrown together. The plating was sloppy, and the side looked like an afterthought. I didn't take a bite. I looked through it and said, "This looks like pieces from different steaks." She told me she watched them cut it... then immediately followed that by saying she saw them put it under a heat lamp to reheat. So which is it? I work in the food industry. I'm not going to be gaslit over a plate like that. She offered to refire it, but at that point it was almost 11 and they were closing. I paid for my drink and left. Honestly, I wouldn't have been upset if they had just told me the kitchen was closing when I called. But don't invite me in, forget my order, and then serve something like this and try to pass it off like it's normal. Just be honest.
