Before I get to my big boy bowl of noodle soup, I just need to get this off of my chest: the soup dumplings here are not worth it. I said it. I know everyone raves about them, but they really do fall flat. They're overpriced, small for a soup dumpling, and they don't have enough soup in them. If you're craving soup dumplings, they're perfectly fine, but they don't live up to some of the other dumplings I've had in my 21 year lifetime. OKAY. I feel lighter. This place has amazing Taiwanese beef noodle soup! It was on par with some I've had in NYC, but came out way faster, was cheaper, and didn't require me making a reservation to get a table. The portion size was massive, too. We also got some really great Sichuan wontons and both types of xiao long bao/soup dumplings were good (I had a slight preference for the crab meat ones). Another cool thing is you can see the chefs pulling noodles and folding dumplings right in front of you in the kitchen. Giving a four because the gloriousness of the noodles was tempered by a few things. The potstickers were just ok and fell apart extremely easily. The "QQ fruit tea" was a letdown and didn't have any fresh fruit or anything other than boba; it was very sweet even though I asked for half sugar. Finally, although we came way earlier than a much larger party, we were seated after they were, even though their full party haven't even arrived yet. Plus their queue system is not very convenient and just requires you to wait around; they don't take down your phone number and contact you when your table is available. Tl;dr come for the noodles! And hope you don't have to wait for a table. And hope you don't get cut by another party who came way later, if you do. read more

Today we picked the Dan Dan Noodles Szechwan Style, the Chicken Noodle Soup, and our go-to always-must-order Pork Crab Soup Dumplings! The Dan Dan noodles are perfectly spicy but not too spicy. Other menu favorites include the Wood Ears and Tofu Skins, Pickled Cucumbers, and Sesame Cold Noodles with Chicken. Hot tip: ask for a side of ginger to put on top of your soup dumplings. We also enjoyed adding ginger on top of our chicken noodle soup. The bubble tea is so lovely. Today's order included black bubble tea - one with honey, one with grapefruit. Have been here a couple of times visiting daughter at college. This is one of the go to places. There was a little bit of a wait on a saturday but not too long as people eat and move on pretty quickly. For a a party of four at 1pm, it was about a 20-25 min wait. Everything was very tasty and you could taste the five spice in everything. My only complaint here is that today, everything was a little bit overly salty - last time was not. Otherwise, this is just plain Chinese comfort food. Soup dumplings were decent. This is a great place to grab a quick and reasonably priced meal. I've been near this restaurant so many times but never went in since there seemed to be a long line each time. I dropped in on a Sunday evening and luckily there was no line. The restaurant was still pretty filled though. I got the shrimp & pork wonton noodles and my bf got the braised beef & tendon noodle bowl. We also got some xiaolongbao. The portions are so big and my bowl honestly could've been too meals. I had to take most of the noodles home. The wontons were very tasty, but the broth seemed to be missing a bit of flavor. For $14, this bowl was so worth it though. The braised beef and tendon bowl was filled with mostly tendon, so not exactly a 50/50 split between the two types of meat. The soup was very flavorful compared to the bowl I got. You can't really go wrong with thin or thick noodles here. They are both so bouncy, chewy and freshly made. You can see the chefs making them behind a window. As for the xiaolongbao, they didn't have as much soup inside as I normally like, but were still decent. Will be back again next time I'm looking for a nice warm bowl of noodles! read more

I'm vegetarian and can only order a small amount off the menu but I would order just the dumplings for days. I have no clue what is stuffed in them but they are TO. DIE. FOR. They also bring them out in a little basket and when they take the lid off a small cloud of steam puffs out. The presentation, the taste. Amazing. They make the dough in house and have an open concept kitchen where you can see them making the dough and every little dumpling. It roughly translates to "see you every day" but the last character which means side is synonymous to "noodles" so the restaurant name becomes "see noodles every day" (haha). Not the reason why we came but there's a funny anecdote. - Five-Spiced Eggplant - I really liked the flavor of this dish but was surprised that the eggplant was cold. Makes sense because its under the appetizer category, but I think it would have tasted better if it was warm. - Braised Beef Noodle Soup - A little bit disappointed. The flavor is pretty one dimensional, just heavy soy sauce flavor with little spice. There was a lot of beef chunks but the beef was not tender and the vegetables were kind of hard. The best part was the noodles. Would not recommend. - Braised Beef and Tendon Noodle Soup - Same thing as the beef noodle soup except the tendons were a little more flavorful but still tough to chew on. And, it's especially impressive since everything I had was vegetarian. The scallion pancake was significantly thicker and more chewy than in other places, but I really enjoyed it. The portion was decent. Nice pieces of onion in there as well. The crispy creamy mini buns were quite good as well. There were 4 of them, and the inside of the buns were fluffy. However, the main flavor came from the sweet glaze or maybe even condensed milk on them. Very good. However, the best part of the meal was definitely the bubble tea/boba. I was very surprised at how delicious this boba was! There was a great mango flavor, and a bit of creaminess too. There were lovely boba pieces and I was especially impressed by how incredible the coconut jelly was. Chewy, fruity, incredible. Had some ice but not too much. Highly recommend, especially for the price. All in all, this was a great meal. The food is authentic and delicious. It is incredible for vegetarians and meat lovers alike. Stopped by for a late dinner on a Friday night. The restaurant was busy and they only take reservations for groups of 8+. We put our name in on a waiting list and had about a 15-20 minute wait. When we were seated, we were brought menus and waters immediately. Our server was fast and courteous. She put in our order for soup dumplings before we finished ordering everything else because she said they took a little longer. I'm telling you, our full order was on our table in under 5 minutes. We tried the eggplant, broccoli, beef noodle soup, soup dumplings, and fried pork dumplings. The eggplant was our least favorite. It probably came down to texture and temperature. They were mushy and cold. The sauce on them was delicious, though. The soup dumplings and beef noodle soup were our standouts. The noodles in the soup were definitely homemade and tasted so much like the broth, which was outstanding. So flavorful! The soup dumplings were packed with filling and broth. This is such a bummer review for me because I wanted this place to be so good. I've even seen videos of Tiktok of how great it was, so my expectations going in were high. However, I think I was let down because I've had Din Tai Fung and this place did not stand up strongly next to it. However, it WAS good and I would go back to see what the noodle soup is like because it looked so good. We ordered the chili cucumbers and they were fresh and spicy. Probably my favorite part. The sesame cold noodles were silky but I did not prefer these noodles cold. When I asked if there were hot noodles with sesame sauce they said no, so that was a let down. We chose the thin noodles and they were extremely hard to actually take out of the bowl and split. The noodles were also very long, which made it hard to take out of the bowl. The eggplant appetizer we ate was hard for me because the texture of the eggplant was slimy but the sauce was delicious. The broccoli was great and cooked exactly how I like it because it wasn't soft. The pork soup dumplings tasted exactly like the kind I get at Trader Joe's, so I was not impressed. And the shrimp potstickers didn't even taste like shrimp and fell completely apart but the noodle part was nice. The staff was really kind, everyone was welcoming and the food came out very quickly. I've had Dan Dan noodles of many different styles so I was curious to see how these would turn out. If you're a big sesame flavor fan then you'll love these. You could choose from a thick or thin (I chose thick) and it had a thick sesame based sauce. Not as flavorful as I wanted to but still tasty. The soup dumplings were awesome. Just as I remembered if not more flavorful. The soup that was in the dumplings were perfectly flavored and umami. We shared the rolled onion pancake with beef and that was really good I wish there was more LOL. I got the hot spicy wonton noodles and I just expected more of a Szechuan taste, but it just tasted like oil to me.
